she is the greatest star of all - great interview
True Legend! " Fasten your seatbelt, It's going to be a bumpy night!" All about Eve, Bondage and Whatever happened to Baby Jane, are my favorites. RIP
Love the reference to The Little Foxes.. 😂😂

My Aunty June always reminded me of Betty Davis’s.she passed away not long ago And seeing this reminds me of her
Bette.
She looks dynamite. Love the way she holds court with so much authority.
A facinating woman to listen to.
You can tell bette Davis love being a star she can really tell a story she said she wanted to remember for good work . 7:13
❤Those were the days when you can smoking everywhere, even at television. ❤Bette was fantastic iconic actress. ❤Old Hollywood, golden Hollywood❤love from Finland
I love how she says the director was left to edit the movie after it was all over. That’s an actress speaking. The director would say starting the editing is when making the movie really begins! She’s completely right about trust.
Betsy Davis was one of a kind
Betsy, huh?
@@pietrob7420 It's almost always spelled wrong, usually Betty or Bettie. Everyone's 12 on these boards.
Bette.

When the American Film Institute started doing their annual tributes, the first was given to John Ford. The second went to Bette. If they were going to choose a woman for that second year, out of all the actresses from all the years of Hollywood moviemaking, it had to be Bette.
Jezebel will never compare to Gone With the Wind or Vivienne Leigh
Smoking as only Bette Davis could smoke.
Jack Warner never had the rights or option on Gone With The Wind. David O. Selznick was the only producer to have ever optioned/owned them. Either Jack Warner lied to Bette Davis or else Bette Davis is lying to Merv Griffin.
I would imagine the former
@@azbycx56 That's funny. To me, it had to have been the latter. Certainly by the time of this interview Bette, along with every young actress who had worked in Hollywood in the 1930s, would certainly have known that David O. Selznick was the only person who ever had the movie rights. She's told other tall tales on talk shows where she's expressing what she had wanted to be true. When telling the story on Johnny Carson that Joan Crawford had accepted Anne Bancroft's Oscar for The Miracle Worker on Anne's behalf, Bette claimed that Joan actually traveled a year with it and didn't give it to Bancroft finally until then. In actuality, it's documented in newspapers that Joan presented the Oscar to Anne less than 30 days after the Oscar ceremony on the stage following a performance by Anne in Mother Courage. Bette told stories in the way that she felt things were, but not as they actually were.
Pink is not her color.
