Ah, where it all began... I can't believe I just missed the 10th anniversary of this masterpiece. While Asa is, in my opinion, nothing short of a fine wordsmith, I myself lack the words to describe how much I love these videos. Nearly 10 years ago, I myself first discovered Touhou Project, and [Touhou Lyrics] has been part of my journey from basically the beginning. (I found this channel through looking for Sekibanki's theme after playing DDC [my first Touhou game] for the first time, lol.) Just discovered this channel yesterday and already listened to most of them, some of them even on multiple occasions since I just cannot help but going back to them.
Thank you so much for listening. ^^ While the Prismrivers here were the first Touhou characters to lyrically inspire me, they faded into the background for me for a while -- and only just recently, I've been having a renaissance of Prismriver appreciation ten times as strong. So it makes me really happy that they still resonate with others too!
Knowing of this channel for less than 24 hours, I have already committed this to memory and now feel compelled to do the same with hisoutensoku. Your work is brilliant.
A lyrical break down that I did since I really like the lyrics for all of your songs! (And also I beat PCB and POFV just to get things right) "what are you with bodies made of broken glass from faded mirrors of the past?" The Prismriver sister that we see within the games are poltergeist made by their younger sister, Layla Prismriver. The original sisters were left orphaned after their father had an accident involving him and a magic item, and after the sisters went different ways with their lives, Layla stayed in their mansion, and she created the poltergeist which were made to resemble her sisters. "In the end, less precious" They are copies of what the sisters are supposed, and they are unchanging. "and more fragile than porcelain dolls." This might be referencing that thanks to Layla's powers, they were created and when those powers were gone, they should've also be gone. But for whatever reason, it didn't happen, it's confirmed by Eiki Shiki that all the original Prismrivers are dead but she does says that they could still disappear, and they must realize the point of their existence, which is to make noise. "If the concert carries on with or without the touch of your illusive hands," Whether the Primsrivers know that their sister who created them is dead, they will continue to make music since it's their whole being and without it, they would cease to exist. "Then what can you say you have done by the time the curtain falls?" since they are talking to someone else I'm going to assume that it's their sister, and 'curtain falls' most likely refers to the end of something or someone, and 'curtain falls' as in the end of a performance "...so we will play, play, play it from the heart:" All of the Prismrivers have the ability to play instruments without them touching it, and since they are what Layla thinks her sisters were, they can't do anything else but play it from what Layla believes they would play. "Echoing cries that only we can hear!" In the ending of Touhou 9, the Prismrivers do a concert to the ghost within the sunflowers, and since the Prismrivers are able to hear them thanks to they themselves being poltergeist. "Take the notes, then read between the lines," They are probably referencing a music to a music sheet, which to read it, you have to read the lines and in-between them, probably referencing the song itself, and probably referencing their own history. "ghostwriting a record of the times." Ghostwriting refers to someone else getting credited for the writing of something, most of the times both parties agreeing. But you know, they are poltergeist, basically ghost. "As the tempo rises, take the final stand" When the tempo rises, it usually means something exciting is about to happen, and 'take the final stand' could refer to a musical solo, and it could also mean someone facing overwhelming odds against them. "And mix these gentle melodies" Thanks to Lyrica's ability to play illusionary notes, she makes Lunasa's melancholic notes and Merlin's maniac notes, easier to hear, and makes them more tolerable for the listener. "Into one grand medley as we please." They use their abilities to make music, Lunasa's notes make the listener calm, but they affect the mind and spirit which can be dangerous for a solo, the same case with Merlin's but instead she makes the listener excited, and thanks to Lyrica's illusionary notes, the bad effects of the other notes gets nullifiedm "We will break, break, break into a song:" They essentially become the music, and the instruments when they play a song, and without music, they quite literally would break. "With backs still turned the other way, we can face the music other day." The sisters after their father's death separated from each other, and they left Layla alone in their mansion, but thanks to the music the original sisters made, now the poltergeist have a sustainable existence; music, it is their sole being and without it, they would disappear.

@@taiyaki_emu Yes.

ok
but what the heck does this mean i am very concerned for your well being
@@taiyaki_emu There's this website called "Bonsai Story Tree." I copy/pasted the lyrics to a bunch of these into it and then commented the results. The worst thing to happen to my well-being related to these comments is cringe.
@@spongeintheshoe ah. so what does the website do?

10 years old!
I hope to listen the Phantom band too! Composed by Elis scarlet(keyboardist), Parsee mizuhashi(flutist) and Nue houjuu(cellist) 💙💚💜
Ps. Maybe someone don't know, but in 2005 there was an anime yuri called Touhou Little Dreams, but it disappeared in 2011 I'm so sorry for that. 😢
But I hope you understand.. Because.. I know what means losing someone... I lost my father.. I just want one of my wishes comes true 😭 I want to see Elis scarlet too! Please.. 😢
My fav
