Thank you for trying on the Myth pallet. You gave us such a creative review😍 I’m in Toronto and I also paid duty and taxes about $57 on my order. This included DHL fees plus Canadian custom duty plus HST. My shipping was free. Lisa Eldridge did not charge for shipping for orders over 75 BP. I wish Lisa would use another carrier that doesn’t charge a $35 processing fee for delivery.

I’m in the US and I believe Lisa’s products ship through the US Postal Service, so shipping is not expensive. I had the same exact experience with my order, but the palette, Vega, is so beautiful it was worth the wait. Your eye looks were beautiful and now I want to purchase Myth. I bought a couple of lipsticks, but I not a big fan of the Velvet lip formula.

Both palettes look beautiful on you. I had been lucky as I live in London and pop into her shop in Covent Garden and just brought the refills instead of a palette as I need to finish the make up I have to begin with. I got the faded amethyst, violet stone, Turbulence and fired earth. I did place an order on Friday, Nov 11th when LE launched her Christmas collection as I need another bottle of foundation and picked up a lipstick and refill. I had to email and chase as it should have only taken a week to get yet people in the US and different parts of the world got it sooner. Normally, I wouldn't care if it was a little late but I just started a new job and really needed the foundation which if I had known there was a delay I just would have picked up a bottle in the shop. So, Allison it isn't only yourself that found the delivery times odd. If you want anything from the LE shop I can get it for you and post it to you in Canada. The duties and shipping from the UK are outrageous. When my friends see something they want what they do is buy and have it delivered to me or I'll grab it from the shops. If the person sends the item and marks it as a gift posting from the UK then you avoid the extra duties and delivery costs. I follow you on instagram (ms_samar_ns) if you want anything just let me know as LE shop will be open until Dec 31st.
We are up charged for these palettes in the US. The palettes are £49 which would convert to about $59 but we are charged $68. So we’re paying close to $10 more per palette in the US. (And it’s not shipping because they are shipped from Ohio) But it’s not as much as you’re describing here in Canada!
I haven't bought any palette yet to be honest, as I have most colors on other palettes, like the one with the green and blue, I have a similar Dior which has a duochromatic shadow but I was very intrigued by the purple one. Custom Duties here are way high if we order from the UK or USA, but Lisa has fixed this for the EU countries, so I can order from her. Not all UK stores have done that. I remember once I wanted the Wayne Goss brushes that I only found in Beautylish and the duties would be around 120 euros for the two brushes I wanted so no.
I’m in California…. No duty charges…I wouldn’t purchase them if I had to pay extra. I love Vega, just received it today…. Lipsticks are nice.. a little too dry for me…. Reminds me of the 80’s when my friends and I would buy lipliners and use them as lipstick… bold but dry..lol..love your videos!
I agree with you on duty fees. I’m also in Canada but I skipped on this because of the duty fees. It’s too bad because the products are stunning. I have a few of the lipstick and love them but the new colours are not different enough to justify the cost.
Hi, Allison, You are confusing what Lisa charges with what the Canadian government charges and what the delivery service charges. Duties are government import charges and have nothing to do with Lisa Eldridge. DHL charges high processing fees to collect this for the government. This is an import from another country issue, not a Lisa Eldridge issue.
Wow those duties are high. Do you also have to pay for imports from Selfridges? No customs fees here. I o love the shadows and her lipsticks but those extra charges would be rough!
@@Cancionera40I think Lisa doesn’t want to relinquish complete control of how products are dispatched from fulfillment centers, which she would have to do if she went through a third-party retailer. If you sell through any venue via your own website, you lose a lot of control on how things are packed and shipped; her packing and shipping procedures are very intentional and she uses her own shipping boxes, so it makes sense that she would not be willing to turn that process over to fulfillment centers that she does not have a direct relationship with.
Hasn't happened with my friends Natasha Denona glam retro but hard pan forming on some already. Also, if you want to mix and match be aware that the pans do not have shade names written on the underneath and at that price point it's disappointing to say the least 🤔 Edit, even the packing staff had shades wrong way round on tarababyz palette because they obviously couldn't identify them easily
@nancy668 I don't think Lisa sells from her own website so she can have her own boxes, I think it is because you don't know how a third party vendor handles their packaging and shipment, a lot of Lisa Eldridge items are delicate and if they aren't handled carefully they break- particularly the lipsticks because they are so buttery. If she retains control of how packaging is done less items may be broken and need replacement
I'm in the US and didn't get charged duties. Someone mentioned they ship from within US, but I also don't get charged duties from my orders with Selfridges. BTW, prices for European brand cosmetics and perfumes are less at Selfridgea than the US (maybe Canada too). If you subscribe to their shipping service for around $50 USD per year, they will ship all your orders free. I have saved so much. Even Diptyque candles are less.
Here in my country we dont get charged customs tax up until a certain amt. I once made a mistake requesting the Lisa Eldridge team to combine my 2 pre-orders in one shipment. I was thinking of the environment, my carbon footprint etc lol. Idk about other countries but here DHL pays whatever customs charges and passes it on to the package recipient. The DHL invoice email I got... gourd. I was ready to fight! Thats how I found out they calculate tax for one whole shipment. And it doesnt matter that they were 2 orders w 2 different invoices 🥴 So anyway, I think your situation is the same here. DHL shouldered the govt tax for you and then sent you the charges.
Duties are different from every country and decided by the government. I bought two pallettes and I only had to pay equivalent $6 USD for duty here in Taiwan.

I don't know, I know that I sent some $80 bed sheets to my mother in Canada from the United States a few years ago and it cost $35 in shipping and then my mother had to pay another $20 in duty fees. Hi, you paid the taxes because the parcel came from Europe. We have the same taxes to pay in Europe when we oder an american product. Lisa Eldridge prices have nothing to do with these taxes.

I'm in the USA and we don't pay duties, usually duties in the USA are on things like gems and alcohol.
