I love that you're one of the very few loc'd people on TH-cam who kept their permanent loc extensions in and are still thriving with them. Most people who get them hack their hair off within one year and then make a video talking about the "dangers" of permanent loc extensions when they know damn well they didn't take care of their hair, have correct loc to part ratio or bleached the hell out of their extensions and that's why they failed.
I agree. I have had mine for 1.5. I made them and attached them using Macon styles as well and they've held up great. I only do black rinse for my little grays in the front lol. I've seen people with extensions over 5 years and looks amazing.
I am month two in my loc journey. I have extensions that still feel itchy at times. But surprised! I keep it wrapped when outside as we have livestock and hay gets EVERYWHERE. I will consider the bonnet instead of the sock. I do like the sock for in the yard. I use rose water, vit E with manuka honey oil. Black castor oil is in the cabinet but I've not used it. About to wash it next month once it's retwisted. Yours look so good!
God just put your loc journey video on my timeline. I’m getting ready to get the loc extensions and I been scressed. 😅 thank u so much for taking the time to make these helpful videos . Such a blessing. God bless you girl!
I am new to the lock extensions. Into my second week and loving it. I stumbled across your video and had to subscribe. Thank you for being so transparent. By the way what lip color are you wearing love it.
I never thought about wrapping my locs, you might be on to something 🧐🧐🧐 lol but I’ve wanted to try mousse for awhile I was just afraid! Also do you have a deep conditioning routine???
I'm very tempted to get loc extensions. Do you know if they are more likely to cause alopecia and/or related hair loss than compared to other styles such as box braids, marley twists, cornrows, etc? Genuinely want to know and educate myself on loc extensions. Thanks in advance!
Just found your page today and subscribed! Love your content. I’m 7 months loc’d now and thinking about adding loc extensions. For this routine, do you start off with the oil spray or do you mist with water first?
Quick question: do the loc extensions ‘loc’ over time, or do they just stay like they are? You know, real hair gets lumpy and bumpy. Do extensions go through any settling or bumpiness?
There is a lightness to your locs when they're clean vs when they're dirty

Amen! Well I am glad we found each other and good luck on your journey
My ideal moisturizing time would be @ night but I'm concerned about mildew growth.
Your hair won’t be that saturated to mildew 🥰

Thanks for subbing!! I always spray my hair with water first so it can absorb better.
Love the video! What size loc extensions did you have installed from Macon?
Thank you! And small
Great video as always and really great ideas.
Thank you! 🥰
Hi! Wen to wash your hair after you get the loc extensions put in and also, should you just use shampoo alone for starter loc extension?
I never thought of wrapping them into a doobie!! Great idea 🥰
Thanks for watching
so its ok to wash everyday????
Is your hair still damp the next morning? Are you not worried about mould?
No I don’t wet it to the point where it’s super damp ☺️ so it dries quickly. You don’t want to saturate it. Just mist your hair.
I love your intro 💗
Thank you!
Me too the intro song is 👌👌
am i able to do this on fresh loc extensions? thank you

They do get bumpy at least mine has especially from styling etc. my hair has a lot of texture to it now prior to when I first got them
What inch are your locs ?
Honestly I’m not even sure. Maybe 16-18 inches now
Do you still use alikay naturals leave in for moisture?
I use it here and there. But I’ve been using the mane choice one lately the most 🥰
@@ShaneseDanae for the mane choice product do you drench you hair or is it more like a light mist>
