There's so much to love about this. Personally, I enjoy the way he takes the complete piss out of the stock acting and story-lines of the Scottish soaps, and maybe one in particular.
Genuinely think Limmy’s comedy was ahead of it’s time. The show stopped because of low ratings but this would’ve been a huge hit with a gen z audience today.
Did it? If you have read Limmys book it was more to do with he ran out of ideas, he didn't really even want to do a third series. Limmy is one of the most truthful guys out there, if it was stopped due to low ratings he would have said. Like how he said a few of his other ideas were rejected by TV companies
It also didn't air nationally? Which is an absolute disgrace. Limmy deserved a decent spot on the BBC in the way The Fast Show and Big Train did 20 years ago. If he was an English comedian he would have got a decent spot, xenophobia all over.
@@WalesGaming86 i also wonder if he didn't do as well outside the UK because his accent is harder for americans and non native speakers to understand. i usually pick up what limmy is saying, but my family genuinely can't figure out if he's speaking the same language. it sucks because you lose the comedic timing if you have to stop and think for too long, which isn't his fault i also have an auditory processing disorder and miss like 1/10th the sentences i hear in US accents. maybe my brain is just scottish?
