Piano tutorial for Stairway To Heaven: th-cam.com/video/fQatJs1suzE/w-d-xo.html. Amazing .I love Led Zeppelin. I've never seen anyone play Stairway To Heaven on the piano. Someone give this guy a great paying job playing this damn thing . He highly deserves it.
Led Zeppelin was good, but when Rush formed, just brilliant..and I mostly stopped listening to Zep. Especially once Neil Peart (Pea-Yurt) joined, Ohhh...Enki. I didn't like Stairway of Heaven, it was too religious for me. As for the people..and music - most music after 2010 is pure junk, especially with the advent of Auto-Tune and Rap becoming, somehow, more popular. I've heard people playing Rush music using a piano, and I'll tell you, if you come into a song after the person has been playing for a bit, it can be challenging to know *what* the person is playing. I knew from the beginning of this, and I didn't need the title, to know what song he is going to play. But had I been there, or anywhere, after it had gotten started...I wouldn't have been able to tell. With an Electric Guitar, I would have. Drums, I might be able to tell. I know he plays well, and that's what I would have been enjoying. Though the piano isn't my favorite instrument I adore listening when people are actually playing *something* rather than using some kind of lame machine doing sampling. Auto-Tune I cannot handle, that's for people who don't sing well, and shouldn't be singing at all. It sounds horrible. For a lot of people, if it isn't "Pop" junk they don't know what a song is. I don't listen to Pop, and I know a lot of people, at least around where I am, listen to horrible Rap stuff, and are blowing our their ears with over-done bass, so I don't hear a lot of GOOD music anymore from cars. Once in a while.. It also depends where you are on this Earth, some people know Zed Zeppelin and others...not at all. I love Marvel movies, but was very disappointed that not a single Rush song made it into "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies for being such an influential band. I dig his passion, not a song choice I would go with, but...the passion matters and that's why I would have stopped for a little while. Led Zeppelin doesn't really appeal to me much anymore, BUT he didn't sing the lyrics, so...I might have stayed to watch him getting into it because of that.
As Jimmy explains he wanted the song to keep unfolding as it went along to reveal more and more building into a crescendo. This is an excellent performance that stays true to to the original concept.

I've loved this song since the day it was released, and hearing such a wonderful piano rendition is literally " music to my ears ". Well played Cole, thanks for the entertainment and the trip down memory lane.
OMG !!! This was absolutely the most beautifulest piano playing song I have ever heard. It brings back the good old days when I was young. If I were there I probably would have shouted out BRAVO BRAVO! You should get yourself an agent and have agent book you for the performing arts in front of hundreds of people to listen to how you play your piano so so eloquently. Thank you for being on TH-cam. Hope you one day play in concert. Good luck....

I’ve listened to several of Cole’s compositions on the piano. Somehow with only 88 keys ( mostly less than 88), he can make anything he plays sound like an entire orchestra! Stairway to Heaven was the prom theme of the first prom I attended way back when. I ended up being lifetime friends with the guy that I went to the prom with but this song holds a special place in my heart that longs for simpler times.
It's stairway to heaven! Woohoo 🎉 thanks Cole! You always perform good covers especially this Led Zep's iconic song! 😊 Thanks for doing a cover again! 👏👏👏👍👍👍
This song brings tears to my eyes because it reminds me of a time when all my friends were so happy. A few have passed but the rest of us that remain have an breakable bond and this particular song revitalizes a time when life was so innocent and how beautiful life was when we had youth on our side. Life is good, absorb every minute of it.
That was an amazing rendition of Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven it's without a doubt one of the best I've ever heard and that's coming from somebody who's actually seen them one of their last shows
I've watched/listened to you for couple of years now. I have always been impressed with your artistry. However, in my estimation, recently you have hit a new (and amazing) level of musicianship. It's been a pleasure to observe your growth. I wish you nothing but success, health, love and happiness! Your parents must be very proud of you!!!
WOW! That was INCREDIBLE Cole. Watching from South Texas at 3am! Now I can’t sleep because I’m so jacked up after hearing this genius rendition of Stairway To Heaven! Hope the launches your career into the stratosphere! Well done and stay safe!
The thing that blows me away videos like this is the best amount of people don’t even notice or knowledge that this incredible thing is happening, and just walked past which means that they pretty much miss out on everything else valuable in life
Amazing. I'd bet Led Zeppelin never imagined when they first performed it, that it could be done on a piano. That's a tribute to both their amazing creativity as well as Mr Lam for seeing a way to execute it.
I lived in Paris for awhile. There was one accordion player that I really loved hearing, but I rarely, if ever, had time to stand and watch for more than the time it took to throw a few francs into his plate. Then I had to get on to work. In order to watch him for just 5 minutes, I would have had to leave earlier - and he wasn't there every day. So, sometimes you just have to enjoy the riches you find along the way, and be glad that *today* he was there for you. And in case you're thinking I could have just taken the next metro: I was headed for my job at Orly Airport via the connecting train. I can't remember anymore, but the train only ran once every 10 or 20 minutes, so I had a schedule I had to keep.
So amazing!! Your tallent blows my mind. I have played the Cello for 23 years. Now am trying to teach myself the piano via youtube. I have the basics but one day wish to be as good as you are. You are an inspiration to the love of music and passion. This from a 43 year old man. lol
Dear Cole, I’ve listened to other piano covers, to me none other captured the force the rich sound and melody and rhythm as yours. Just brilliant! 😊truly captivating. Same feeling triggered as if i was listening to actual led zeppelin live versions. Really there’s Robert singing, the drums, bass, guitar all in you and your playing and now i will also forever hear your piano whenever i listen to them. What a treat!
Fantastic cover. I usually just shut my eyes and just listen to the song being played. But watching you and hearing the arrangement you put together was inspiring. you took us on a musical journey that was way above what i thought I could be. You bring happiness to so many people as they stop, watch and listen. Well played Cole.
Never heard anyone do justice to this song as you did. Fantastic interpretation, You deserve kudos for this performance, it was fabulous. Thanks so much, it was a pleasure to listen to you.

It's weird to me how many people aren't into music. It's like a major piece is missing.
Eso es Led Zeppelin amigo, algo inmensamente magico que aparecio en el mundo y que en un piano volvio a resurgir como un fenix por unos minutos. Espectacular.
I love his Emotion As He Plays . You Can tell He really Loves music. HE is Great too. God Bless him .Amen .
You deserve a stand ovation my man!
One of the best and played by a GOONERS FAN AMAZING TALENT ❤
Great rendition of a classic song. Your interpretation is passionate and emotive. I could not have walked past if I'd heard this playing live. I definitely would've stopped to appreciate it.
me to I woul😢have found a chair and sit for as long as you played.😊
Oh Cole, this made me smile and cry at the same time. Stairway To Heaven is my anthem, I hear it every day, I've heard it thousands of times and I never get tired of it. A masterpiece, one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded and the most iconic guitar solo of all time. I could almost hear the unmistakable voice of Robert Plant…I wish Jimmy Page could hear that. Your performance was amazing, perfect, worthy of the greatest rock band in the universe. I LOVED! 😍 Thanks a lot 😊
Agree with it
He plays it so good you can almost hear Robert Plant's voice coming from the keys. Bravo Cole!!!
I'm not sure whether I'm more amazed at his mastery on the piano or the fact that so many people just walked by w/o even giving so much as a glance!
Love Led Zeppelin. Love Stairway to heaven. Love your piano interpretation of anthem of Rock snd Roll. Love from Taiwan.
From here in Brazil, I like these street singers and shoping around the world, if you know the talent of the human being, whatever country he or she is from, congratulations to this guy who plays a song by one of the greatest bands in the world and very well on the Piano. Hugs to all.
WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cole, this one was an experience (back in my day we would have called it a trip). Loved the pianist, loved the song selection, loved the energy and passion. You took a true classic, played it as well, or better than anyone could and then blew it out of the water by exploding into it with that Cole Lam genius. I'm glad there's only one of you, I couldn't handle two. All I can say is goodness gracious, great balls of fire, oh, and also, as always, Love ya buddy, stay safe and healthy.❤❤❤👑of🎹👏👏👏
One day I will show my tiny grandson your videos…he listens to them when I do …I thank you from my heart for sharing the music you play…it’s Never too soon in life to listen ! This is Wonderful, Cole. Thank You 🙏🏼 💕
Absolutely
So many that just walk past without stopping. We (western society) are all (myself included) just too scheduled and busy to appreciate truly beautiful things like the playing of this song live. How much LIFE is right under our noses that minute by minute we let just pass us by?.
Beautiful.
I've loved this song since the day it was released, and hearing such a wonderful piano rendition is literally " music to my ears ". Well played Cole, thanks for the entertainment and the trip down memory lane.
I first heard this song when it was released in 1971. 52 years later, it still gives me goosebumps. Nicely played sir!
At 5:43: Now it gets serious! Never heard any pianist doing a concert of Stairway tackle it with such vigor. Excellent.
This is exquisite! Thank-you Cole. I love playing this song by ear... I absolutely love the way you played this iconic melody!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There a re hidden gems in life but sometimes they're right there under our noses and still nthey dont see or hear and walk on by oblivious to the awesome gem that sparkles so dazzling,,,,,Cole you are a gem my friend !😊😊😊❤
I bet you have a hard time walking past a piano without wanting to stop and play it.
Great video!!!!! Thanks for letting us enjoy your talents !!!!!!🙂
Definitely! A piano had to be played!
What an Amazing Talented person ! The whole Stairway to Heaven on a piano ,from memory . I can't get over just how good that session was !
Thank you Cole Lam, this is one of my favorite songs! ❤😊🎉
That was an amazing rendition of Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven it's without a doubt one of the best I've ever heard and that's coming from somebody who's actually seen them one of their last shows
From a musician and admirer of Zeppelin Im just saying wow, that man in the end is right! Wow ❤❤
i feel sorry for the piano! amazing!!!! i never commented before, but this drove me to. what an awesome...experience. i have no other word for this
I've watched/listened to you for couple of years now.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing performance. The piano is just so versatile, and you make use of every bit of nuance you can get from it.
The thing that blows me away videos like this is the best amount of people don’t even notice or knowledge that this incredible thing is happening, and just walked past which means that they pretty much miss out on everything else valuable in life
Absolutely brilliant. Beyond words. Thanks for sharing.
You've truly outdone yourself, Mr.Lam. Fantastic Performance!🔥
Amazing. I'd bet Led Zeppelin never imagined when they first performed it, that it could be done on a piano. That's a tribute to both their amazing creativity as well as Mr Lam for seeing a way to execute it.
Superb played one of my favourite piano covers COLE keep on playing u are great pianist.thanks always for your videos.God bless Cole.
Can't fathom how people just walk by when this is being played so beautifully.
They're ignorant of the greatest music ever, of the past in all genres.
Probably because they are trying to catch a train.
I think they have places to go to and not that much time to get there but that's just a guess.
Maybe they're sick to death of the song.
@@theallseeingmaster They all work in a guitar store.
I love this brilliantly played piece without accompaniment.
Love how the versions match your mood at the time you play them, thanks Cole and team.
Music is the best for mind body and soul. Without music, life would be out of tune. GOD BLESS
listening to your rendition of this classic made me feel alive, amazing!! COYG!! love the Arsenal Saka shirt
Fantastic cover. I usually just shut my eyes and just listen to the song being played. But watching you and hearing the arrangement you put together was inspiring. you took us on a musical journey that was way above what i thought I could be. You bring happiness to so many people as they stop, watch and listen. Well played Cole.
Absolutely brilliant! Bravo! 👏🏻
Never heard anyone do justice to this song as you did. Fantastic interpretation, You deserve kudos for this performance, it was fabulous. Thanks so much, it was a pleasure to listen to you.
Amazing performance. Really rockin it there at the end. Nice.
I agree with that chap, that was brilliant 👍
