Great hunt guys and so glad your friend was ok. Guns can be replaced but your eyes and hands can't. So glad this wasn't worse. It can happen to anyone at any time. I blew a choke out mine a couple seasons ago and didn't know until it fell back to earth and pinged on the ice.
Glad your buddies okay. I’ve had a similar situation happen to my uncle with 12ga Remington 870 15-20 yrs old gun recently and my uncle hurt his shoulder quite bad. Sometimes the wads get stuck in the barrel causing it to blow up. Any idea how it happened ?
@@saad196 sorry to hear that! We think exactly that happened. A wad got stuck from a previous shot, and all the back pressure that was created caused it to basically blow up.
@ glad everyone’s okay, had a similar situation except mine wasn’t as serious. Shot and my barrel bulged out like you wouldn’t believe but didn’t actually split. After watching this I’m seeing what could’ve happened if I shot again not seeing it. Man oh man.
Your gun blows up on the first shot , you can clearly see that you either wasn’t looking down the barrel on the second shot or just figured “ Huh ! I can’t see the end of my gun from the huge hump in the barrel “ but felt obligated to shoot again ? I’m not saying you’re an idiot but signs are pointing to it.
@@jonathanhill5380 it wasn’t me, so I’m not sure exactly sure what it looked like, but I don’t think you’re always focused on the end of your barrel. A lot of times, just off of instinct, we know where our gun barrel is at just by shouldering it. Nothing sounded abnormal either, which was very surprising.
Not saying it was you but you don’t have to concentrate to see your barrel blow up. Can’t believe it didn’t sound abnormal but that shouldn’t have been missed.
@@jonathanhill5380 how big of a loser do you gotta be to call someone an idiot for having a freak accident? You must be God's gift to firearm malfunctions lol thank God he was able to walk away from this and go home to his family instead of being severely wounded far from help or being permanently blinded or losing a hand. The world needs less people like you.
Nice hunt 💪
@@DuckGunChronicles Hey man! Appreciate it! Been a big fan of your channel for a while, keep up the good work!

That sucks and is dreaded by all. Curious if he was shooting Black Cloud through a ported choke? What size shot and what choke tube make and size?
Did Beretta take care of him at all or did he have to foot the bill for it?
Wooow dude, scary stuff😮 what kind of gun? Great video by the way
