A perfectly beautiful song performed fantastically by Johnny and his band, it has to be be one of the best and fulfilling moments in a musician’s life when you’ve written one of the best truly great songs ever and when playing live the whole audience sing it back to you!
@@bradley_Bradley Seeing him a few years ago in a small place was one of my fav concert experiences. It's the one upside when a musician you like doesn't become a ridiculously successful commercially!
I just saw you have a YT Channel so I subscribed. Looks like good footage. I saw him 3 or 4 years ago in Az. Love his Fender Jaguar Guitar. I was so close I could have played that Guitar ha
Everything's digitally modeled these days, so that acoustic sound is coming from the black electric guitar. You can hear it when he comes in at the front.
It’s the volume and attempt at a mix in confined rooms / spaces. .. comes with being a drummer 🆘 ever had a struck crash cymbal blast off 2 ft from your ear ?
Johnny is keeping the Smiths fans happy by playing these songs. Its great to see. Cant say the same for the other fella. But yea, The Smiths were great for the short time they were around
@@stuartjames6318 it is up north my friend. I've just had a lovely bacon butty this afternoon. 4 slices of thick white bread with a few dollops on each sandwich. (2 sarnies in all). Very satisfying. But I don't think Steven or johnny would approve because they don't eat meat apparently 😳😳
Odd, I saw Morrissey a few months ago for the first time at Portsmouth Guildhall. Didn't like his new band at all, they crucified How Soon is Now for example. I know it's not all about The Smiths but if I had the choice, these days I'd rather listen to Johnny reproduce those old songs, much more authentic; the excellent lyrics having already been written and set in stone. 👍
Marr is obviously a great guitarist and by all accounts, a really good bloke but his renditions here are tin eared at best. Sorry Johnny, just calling it how I see it.
One of the best guitar players. This songs changed my youth in the early 90's. Greets from Germany.

JM always delivers. Such an amazing talent.
In great shape, great style, great guitar... excellent.
great hair!
Johnny's at his best in front of a small audience!
I saw him at small Venue just like this at same angle as this camera. Maybe best Concert ever and I’ve seen a few

His appeal is becoming more selective 😆
Wish I was there. I’m here in L.A. California
Beautiful....JM is a master.
What a class act he is
Freaking rocked. As a guitar player I’d choose this over Moz. But damn, lights in the face in this one.
johnny marr is dope
What a fantastic venue - so intimate!
Marr huge huge talent
So sweet
Impressive that he can play the song. MEGA Impressive that he can play and sing the song at the same time!
It's not one of the more complicated Marr guitar parts. I'm more impressed how much he's grown as a vocalist.
Go Johnny go!❤
Canzoni indimenticabili. La mia giovinezza.
Sounding amazing!
go johnny
James May up front lovin it.
Cool. Proper music
Thanks pal!
moments like this you realize it's not Moz so much as Joyce and Rourke are absent
hell yeah!!
Johnny should get a singer.
Is Marr really short?
That Jaguar looks huge on him.
Tiny guy. 5”6 like 130. Great player
@@robertrosejr1
Like 130 centimetres short?!
I didn't know hes an actual dwarf.
Amazing!
@@standinsilence 130 lbs (pounds), not cm.
Marr is 59y.o. in this gig. At peak, I think he was 5'7" or 5'8" in his youth.
I hear an acoustic guitar is there a 3rd guitarist not shown?

Hey! Iain! This is Matt Rice from WSIHE Chichester! How's it going😁✌
Loved Marr over Mozz. Just by a bit. Just think Marr is aging better mentally and physically.
What did the drummer do that got him stuck in the corner? Looks lonely back there.. :(

@@MrBluoct Yes I have. Sounds like a breaking window. I get the volume thing.
So Morrisadsac walked off the stage at the Greek hahahaha
Boz the time is now….
that is not morrissey
Morrissey is staggering around LA somewhere after walking out on band and paying customers.
Correct, thank god. This is Johnny f'n Marr
Watching this without Morrissey is like having a bacon butty without the brown sauce. Don't get me wrong I love Johnny but its not the same

Brown sauce isn't as popular as you think...

Imho, I don't need the brown sauce. Bacon butty on it's own is the bomb. And, yes, I mean Marr is great here, w.o Morrissey.

That woman screaming the lyrics loudly ruined everything lol
Worst sound ever for best song ever? Murder by earbuds🔥😮💨💨

He can only sort of sing.
mmm Morrissey is better
Imagine if Jimmy Page tried to sing Whole Lotta Love by himself. That's how awful this is.
Except one singer is the second-greatest frontman in history, and the other is fucking Morrissey.
