This is very good. Very close but it sounds like the virtual analogue still lacks the evolving movement of the original GX1. But this is a fantastic v1 of the instrument. And a quite wonderful cover of the original Abba classic.
Yes, but i think Benny and Bjorn allso did some heavy mixing, to make it sound better. I would use the gx-80 and some other softsynth plus som eq’s to lift the sound a bit.
@@henrik3657 what you’ve done here is really great. Its good to know these classic sounds can now be used by mere mere mortals! After your demo, I think I’ll be dipping my toes into the world of soft synths quite soon, with the GX-80 and some of U-He’s superb synths. And I agree… with a bit more layering and mixing, you could 100% achieve the same lush sound as mr Anderson himself!
And not to offend you Sergio, but, i think the drum track should have more dry fx, otherwise perfect abba cover. there is some threads / post of the gx-1 in Arturia / cs80 forum, if anyone needs to go a bit deeper to Experiment with the cs80 soft synth.
Well done. But could one possible program gx-80 / gx1 patches very similar to the patches abba used in for example , “me and i”, and perhaps even abba song “the day before you came” ?. Just asking. Would you considering making a cover version of abba’s “ the day before you came”, i think its called, perhaps maybe allso “me and i”, “benny’s national anthem song”, cant remember the name.
I copied the panel settings and got close. There's also a preset called I think CS Orchestra, it's close and a good place to start from. First step, flip the filter switches from CS to GX mode. You're really already most of the way there, it's just matter of adjustment then.
This is beautiful. This is art. I love it so much.
Thank you for this great reproduction of the Abba song. I must say I find it hard to believe that this is really made without the original instrument.
thank you so much :)
Awesome, Sergio!
Thank you ❤
Identical- nobody would know the difference! I used to be an analog purist, but emulations like this are so close now, it hardly matters anymore..
Thank you so much

It's actually not that hard- copy the panel dude!
Hi Sergio, I would love to have this patch! Do you still have it?
Copy the sliders on the panel- we can see all the settings!

@@SergioFrias is it something you would share? It's a great patch!
@@TimovanVerseveldI copied the panel sliders and got close. It's got a second layer though, I just tuned that by ear.
