    Awesome Bob - thanks for posting this. I lifted and leveled my 460 and the lights were aimed too high so I followed this video and am in the process of aiming them down - just waiting for it to get dark and do some road testing tonight to dial it in now.

      foglamps don't have a self adjuster. You might want to check how your bulbs are seated in the chamber if its misaligned.

    Hi Bob, I just installed these aftermarket headlights back in October and had no issues with the light indicator popping on the dash. Try plugging in the bottom front signal into the extra Y harness. Im running both turning signals and converted the bulbs to the VLED V6 Triton Switchback bulbs to use for both foglights and turning signal.

    I'm really worried about what just started going on my with 2014 Lexus GX460 "Base Model" Headlights.......Anyone who could tell me what's causing this would be very much appreciated! I have the auto leveling Headlights on mine and I don't know if all base models do or what but when I start my GX up the lights are leveling out "VERY SLOWLY" and the one Headlight on the right seems to be shining up Slightly higher than the left.......Is this a problem with a sensor, computer or the Headlights themselves......I know the OEM Headlights are about 1k each!

    • @GXBOB
      @GXBOB  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      1. The one light pointing too high is not a problem. Happens all the time due to slack in the brackets when installing them. The holes for the bolts are not close tolerance holes. Just needs to be zeroed out with manual adjustment per the video.
      2. Unplug all the plugs behind the headlights and check both the male and female connectors for corrosion and water damage.
      3. Check the main harness below your driver side headlights forward of your driver wheel for water damage and corrosion.
      4. One headlight moving slower than the other is most likely internal wear of a 10 year old motor. But if both headlights are moving extra slow (I’m assuming you compared it with another GX and determined the speed was abnormal), then the issue may be components outside the headlights such as poor ground,ecu,etc…your best bet is to buy a set of aftermarket lights and switch them out to do some process of elimination. If it’s not the lights then at least you can return it for a refund. (Ahem …Amazon)

    • @devanrogers3133
      @devanrogers3133 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @GXBOB Thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to figure it out.......I have never thought of replacing the headlights themselves on this particular vehicle because they are so nice. Even though my GX has about 114k miles on it now the headlights are really clean and look really good I think. For instance on my 98 BMW 328i I had it was actually a huge upgrade buying aftermarket headlights because the BMW had cheap plastic faded headlights with basic bulbs in them. I got the glass Depo Projecter Headlamps with the angel eyes in them and used really nice PIAA bulbs.

      Look at 5:21. Loosen all 4 bolts that hold each headlamp but do not remove them. After you loosen all 4 bolts, move your headlamps left and right till you get it straight. Once you get it to where you want it. Tighten your bolts down. I think your headlamps have quite a bit of play in them and may have been previously removed but not put back straight. Thats my guess.

      Ray, there are a few models of these headlights on the market. I don't provide the link because I don't stand behind their quality just yet. They are fairly new on the market and have yet to see rainy weather and/or long usage. $1500 investment for something made in China is not a very comfy gamble. I'll wait till i am more certain.
