Cody is literally my favorite clone besides Fordo and Rex.

I saw this figure a few times when it was initially released. It was the early days day of the black series and people did not know if the line was going to take off. Of course it did and now everyone wants to old figures. They will release it. Be patience but if you see figures you like pick them up even if you have to eat salad for a few days it is worth it. Commander Colt is my favorite clone and if they made him in the 6" version the sw community would go crazy.
That is very true! Even modern Red and Black boxed figures are going for crazy prices like Ezra and Qui Gon. Glad I got them ASAP! Colt would be amazing! Thanks for watching -Nate
Great Review. I started Collecting in Feb of 2016 and found Cody at a Walgreen's toward the End of 2016 and actually passed on Him. After watching a few TH-cam videos of Him, I decided I wanted Him. I went back to that Walgreen's about a Month later, which was in another City, and Luckuly He was Right where I left Him. Fast forward to 2018 and I was at a Toy Show at the Flea Market and Digging through a Box of Figures in Baggies and found another Cody. He was missing the Smaller Blaster, but when the guy told Me $5.00 for Him, I couldn't get the money out of My Pocket fast enough. He's Definitely My Favorite Clone, and a Great Figure.

Superb figure and review Nate. This is another figure i missed out on, he looks fantastic and have seen the prices go through the roof so hoping that Hasbro re release him. Thank you Boba! You might as well get the hot toy, it’s probably not even that much more than what this figure is worth! Which if fucking crazy that people would pay so much for this Cody. I think we will all have a chance to get him again soon. Stay Safe homie!
I'm just saying this because there's alot of confusion in the community about this, because in about every Bly review, the reviewer refers to the mold as an updated or improved version. The reason why the newer clones (with the exception of Bly) don't have the better elbows and shoulders is because Rex's mold is a COMPLETELY different mold. Everyone believes that Rex's mold is simply a remold or retool, but there's actually alot about the mold that tell's you that it's 100% a different mold. You can tell because the hips actually have less range on Rex's mold because the armor is taller. Also, shoulder armor tucks underneath the chest armor when lifted to the side, unlike the older clone mold. The upper arms are longer when compared to Rex's, as well. I believe Hasbro specifically made the Rex mold for characters who have pauldrons, since the only two characters who use the mold have pauldrons. I'm not sure if there's a specific reason why they don't use it for characters without pauldrons though.
Wow! Never knew that, but that’s pretty awesome. Still though even though it’s completely different they should use it for all clones or atleast the arms. Also looks like Hasbro forgot about the Rex mold when making the Purge Trooper. Bummer. But maybe one day Hasbro will realize the old clone body just doesn’t cut it anymore. I got to say, I'm thankful for your review, especially for being so recent. I just bought one that was at an amazing price, I opened him to display him with my other Clones and I almost thought I got scammed with a bootleg shoved in a real box because he just seemed so much less in quality compared to newer clones...but mine matches your issues pretty much the same, especially with the different plastics.
He is the only clone I don't have. And I have not found him online less than $120. That's ridiculous. Not paying that
Agreed, it’s wayyyy to much for any BS figure. Hopefully Hasbro realizes Clone Wars has a 7th Season right now and he needs to be re released!

Sure Cody is popular, but Rex is BY FAR the more liked clone...not even close
Yeah I suppose that’s true but a lot of people still to this day discount Clone Wars and Rebels as “just for kids” and skip over watching them. -Nate

I really want him and Ezra and some others like the purge trooper but they are being sold for 40-100$ and it’s ridiculous and that’s why I want them to be out back into the main stores for their original price
I’m down for some re-releases! Those prices are ridiculous. GameStop, for the first time ever, made a listing on their website for the Purge Trooper. Hopefully that means it will be stocked on the website soon. -Justin

Cody will probably get rereleased at some point but I don’t like the idea of relreleasing the high value black series figures from the past. I feel a big part of the appeal is the value that some figures hold onto due to the scarcity of the character in action figure form D:
Commander Cody is getting re-released because he won the fan vote. Regardless, the value of an action figure doesn't necessarily matter to us. I want every collector to have a chance to get a figure that they want. Thanks for watching our review! -Justin

I saw one at my local comic con last year for like 20 bucks, didn’t end up getting it, but little did I know he’d be upwards of $150 now

@@OutOfTheBasement I just noticed mine has like a misprint it whatever you'd call it, mine doesn't have the gray stripe on his right arm 🙃 I noticed everyone else has the gray one both arms. Oh well, I'm not gonna bother trying to hunt down another, I'm just glad I got one at all 😭
I have Rex, Gree, Fox, Wolfe... but not Cody, unfortunately. And I refuse to pay that insane amount of money for him either. $50, maybe.. we can only hope that Hasbro re-releases him, but this time with an actual head as well. You got super lucky that you found Cody.. and thanks for the review! Really makes me wanna get one lol smh

When this figure retires, I hope Black Series does another Clone Wars Cody. The figure would have the updated Clone Trooper body with a Phase 1 and Phase 2 helmet, an accurate and detailed Temuera Morrison head mold, detailed scar, modifications to not make the head so “glossy”, and a stand that the black bottom says in silver, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and underneath it, it says his name, “Clone Commander Cody”, and his number “CC-2224”. Does anybody agree? Please reply below, unless it’s negative.

I picked this guy up around this time last year I wanna say I paid...$58? Mine was loose out of the package too. I am baffled by the gummy knees and yes,Hasbro does need to rerelease this dude.
Not a bad price for the time! But yeah it sucks the figure is aging so poorly and is one of the more expensive figures. Kinda makes it hurt just a little worse. Thanks for watching James! -Nate

@@OutOfTheBasement It is the same mold, but with changes to paint color, and looking at mine I don't see the different softer plastic you were talking about on the arms and legs.

I don't know if its just mine but does anyone else find the head so far up the neck thats it looks giraffe like?
Try heating the neck up with hot water or a hair dryer for 30 seconds and see if you can press the head down on the joint further. -Nate

@@OutOfTheBasement LOL Sorry to laugh but that's insane, I've been lucky with most of my action figures, The worst flaw I ever got was the Patrol-Trooper 6 inch (from Solo) The left elbow simply will not bend at all !!! I did try the hair drier method, But accomplished nothing, I think the joints are screwed up Possibly melted together inside ? I dont know but that's only one figure out of hundreds of figures, Thanks for the video, I never knew Cody had soo much details on the back, the thermal detonator and other spots, Unfortunate about the soft plastic But worst of all I cant find one on eBay for under 147 US (=200 Canadian) I hope they do an archive release, Thank for the cool video
I regret not buying the discount price of $10 in my local toy store back in 2017. Now its $70 at minimum :(
