Army Of Spider Crabs Shed Their Shells
In this Blue Planet II episode clip we witness hundreds of thousands of Spider crabs coming together to shed their hard unexpandable shells and emerging with larger new shells, which takes a few days to harden.

And in two weeks, I will be repeating this same process.

I think the reason why they come together is so when one crab is weak with no shell. The ones still with a hard claws protect the weak. Otherwise they would just come out of shell in a cave or something.

Te Yo... They never stop growing. The process just slows down as they big bigger.
So some tarantula spiderlings can moult 5/8 times a year then once they reach a mature adult size it can be once a year of less.
Though I think Jacob Elliot actually meant "imagine if tarantulas created huge piles of individuals when it came to moulting time".

I love David Attenborough’s narration for these documentaries he’s so quiet and calm when he narrates some that most narrators usually don’t do which is a breath of fresh air heck the Netflix series night on earth isn’t narrated by David Attenborough at all which is sad because his voice is so lovely
