    Beautiful work, as always. I absolutely ADORE your attitude of "I've never done Hardanger, but I have absolute faith in myself to figure it out" 💕

    I love your stitching and especially appreciate your telling us the count of the fabric you used and the number of threads of floss, as well as "over one". I also love your kitty!

      @fiberartsamy Hi Amy! I love that you are dyeing fabric specifically for Firefly Fairies. I just got that pattern as my unicorn. I don’t want to dye the fabric though, lol. I like the piece Sarah showed; however, It’s too mottled for my preference. Although, I do appreciate its beauty and that you likely used a lot of technique and talent to get that product. Do you make any that have subtle mottling for firefly fairies?

    I can't believe I missed the sale. I'm going to make sure to get it today. Your stitching looks great. Every stitch counts towards a finish. I'm so happy you had a great holiday.

    Always such a pleasure to catch up with you and see your stitching progress 😄 So exciting that the advent animals are nearly done! I'm looking forward to hearing more on your plans as I seem to have accumulated lots of kits and patterns so am currently debating how best to plan those out for 2024. I have a good idea but interested to see your plans. As you say, there's always more to stitch than time available 😂

    I am glad you had family time this week. You still made progress on many things and help us all to remember to keep perspective on those weeks when other things arise. Thank you.

    I've done several Victoria Sampler projects. Don't hurry the hardanger, along that path is potential cutwork disaster! Maybe set an interim goal of getting the framing done, then cutting (always a bit nerve wracking), then the weaving and fill in. Good luck!

    Yay, you got Esther’s Waves. I’ve been working on that project for a while now. I show it in my most recent video. I purchased all the called for DMC and beads and was surprised that it was not rainbow like the cover. You may want to pull the floss to check in case you want it to be rainbow. I changed the beads so they are all glass and sparkly, no matte beads. I did stick with the floss colors though because they remind me of autumn. Oh, thanks for sharing fiber arts Amy fabric that is for firefly fairies. I just got that pattern as my unicorn and would much rather purchase fabric than try to dye it. That one is a bit too mottled/busy for me though. I wonder if she could do one less mottled. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos. Happy stitching!

    I found out this week, that while I can watch TV or Flosstube while stitching, I can not talk and stitch at the same time 🤷🏻‍♀ I met two stitchers, who where at StitchBasel, last Friday and I think I did all the talking and they did all the stitching 🙈 I guess I'll have to work on that 😳🙄
    Happy stitching 🪡🧵🥰

    Hi, again, I loved seeing all of the progress on your cross stitching. Everything is beautiful. I love the nativity sampler you are cross stitching. You have done a beautiful job. What color of white do you use? It seems to show up so well , when you use it in your work. Your cat is so sweet, too. Can't wait until next time.

    I truly enjoy your weekly updates - Thank YOU for doing all you do. You inspired me to do the Advent Animals by Brooke's Books Publishing and I have been trying to get as many completed as possible before Christmas. I've just started Sophie Squirrel (12). I had a big miss on Sheila Sheep and had to unpick the lower HALF of that chart. Yikes. 😂 Happy Stitching!

    Hi Sarah, Projects are looking good. Question: on your full coverage projects any of them what way do you stitch them?. And your typewriter method is only for the top of chart or do you carry on throughout the chart?. Thanks

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Each full coverage is sometimes stitched with a different method. A lot of them are being done with my typewriter method, as that makes sense to my brain and feels efficient to me, but some are done other ways.
      With the typewriter method, I choose symbols either along the top row of the design, or within a 10x10 square, left to right, top to bottom across the whole design. I found that once I move past that top row of the design, it's much easier to keep my place by choosing symbols within a 10x10 block before moving to the next 10x10 block. So, that will be my ongoing method throughout the body of a piece.

      I stitch in hand, using a poke and stab method with the fabric rolled up in my left hand. You can see some demo videos in the Demos & Tutorials playlist. :)
