This made me cry ,my father was also in 35 RR he gave his life in 2003 he was partially paralyzed by grenade but eliminated all 4 terrorists before his final breath. There was a soldier Badlu Ram who belongs to Assam Regiement who died in 2nd world war. When Assam Regiment was in siege near kohima they survive on the ration of badluram because quater master was continued taking ration on his name so that soldiers don’t have shortage of supply n ration who were fighting, so when it was seized n supply was not reaching to them , they survived on extra ration of badlu ram ,. After the war when co heard the story, he pen down this in a poem which later became the Regimental Song , Don’t worry our Indian Army is doing good . Also check 2nd Leutinent Arun Khetarpal
That's not the condition of the soldiers. During WW2, the resources were limited. Badlu Ram from Haryana was a soldier in the Assam Regiment who died in action. His quartermaster did not report his death and continued to receive food and rations from the corp command. So when their company was finally surrounded by Japanese on all sides, they were able to survive because they had surplus food and resources, which they had indented for in the name of martyred soldiers earlier. So essentially, the loyal soldiers came to the rescue of their fellowmen even after their death.

You people has taken it as wrong. The army personnel's are well protected, feeded and equipped. This is before independence, 2nd world war. This song is very nicely made on Badluram a great warrior of pre indendence. The song means when ration stopped means a soldier is no more. And it's humorous and sentimental song, just to show "How brave Badluram was" that still after his death ...the ration is still being given to the regiment on his name, may be due to some humar error. But the regiment describes it in melodious beats just to remember that Badluram is still in the heart of ASSAM RIFLES.
This song is not about this dada.This song is from ww2 where other soldiers survived on ration of dada(who had already died and his ration was stored ) and fought the war when their ration was cut off by enemy.

Maam with due respect I think you have misunderstood the meaning and context of the song...Its a regimental song (correct me if am wrong ) glorying the smartness and toughness of the Assam Regiment in WW2. The song you are talking about is not for hangpan dada..it is the regimental song of assam regiment which talks about badluram who was martyred in world war but the quatermaster saved ration even for him and due to which the company was able to survive even after japanese laid a seige on them..
You should have listened to that carefull..our army takes care of their soldiers and their family specially

You people has taken it as wrong. The army personnel's are well protected, feeded and equipped. This is before independence, 2nd world war. This song is very nicely made on Badluram a great warrior of pre indendence. The song means when ration stopped means a soldier is no more. And it's humorous and sentimental song, just to show "How brave Badluram was" that still after his death ...the ration is still being given to the regiment on his name, may be due to some humar error. But the regiment describes it in melodious beats just to remember that Badluram is still in the heart of ASSAM RIFLES.

This song is not about this dada.This song is from ww2 where other soldiers survived on ration of dada(who had already died and his ration was stored ) and fought the war when their ration was cut off by enemy.

Maam with due respect I think you have misunderstood the meaning and context of the song...Its a regimental song (correct me if am wrong ) glorying the smartness and toughness of the Assam Regiment in WW2. Doesnt mean that the soldier has to be beneath the ground for his family to get food - thts the wrong interpretation..However I agree with whatever else u said.

With due respect mam, this regimental song doesn't mean that there children and family is getting ration for there father's sacrifice, it's a regimental song which states that a sepoy named badlu ram who was martyred in 2nd world war, his quarter master officer havent stopped his ration supplies because of some mistake due to this reason his ration got dumped into the stores and during the second world war when his company was sorrunded by the Japanese army the company used that stored ration and saved there lives.......hope now u understand the meaning of this song, long live great brave martyrs like hungpan dada.....
