100 years and a few short months ago my great grandfather sailed out the Albert River on route to Thursday Island when the single screw steamer he was on was hit by a force 5 cyclone which blew his boat across the gulf to the east side of Arnhem Land where he was speared and killed by the local aborigines.
The Albert river has more crocodiles than barramundi.
Leichardt falls has only got fresh water crocs. But I was almost eaten by a salty whilst fishing on the Leichardt river on Escott.
    You'll enjoy Lawn Hill.

Lucky your dog wasnt eaten by a croc on Hughes crossing walking across . I was a wild game harvester from Dunbar to Wrotham Park for 12 years and seen many a big croc lurking at that exact crossing.

Good to catch up with you on your journeys in the top end. Great footage of the rivers and birdlife

Enjoying following the trip but I think too much drone footage and it starts to feel like “slide night”
