These are so, so cool Brent! Right up my alley, I love the creativity that goes into these cards. I collect some Helmar custom cards for many of the same reasons. Your passion for these really resonates in this video, proof that collecting is about so much more than any license or the almighty dollar. Loved this album from start to finish, pal! 👊😃
Thank you for showing your Monarch card collection. I visited the Negro League Hall of Fame in Kansas City last year and became instantly fascinated with the stories of NLB players and their history. There were unfortunately no NLB cards made during that time for today’s collectors to collect. At today’s prices if they had the value would be astronomical and unaffordable for most or all collectors. Monarch does a great job depicting NLB player cards (Satchell Paige, Cool Papa Bell, Josh Gibson, and others not as well known) and is a great alternative for anyone wanting to collect a big part of baseball’s⚾️ pastime.🙂
Thanks for sharing your Monarch cards. I've seen some of these on EBay in some favorite player searches. They are beautiful, licensing or not. They capture images in card form that most have never seen. My overall favorite is they Clemente you showed at the end. I love the 64T look and the 61T look as well. We've seen licensed product over the years that aren't as nice as these. Nice collection.
This was a real treat, Brent. I’ve seen some of these on eBay before but didn’t realize their history or quality. Bob Miller picks some great images, most are ones I haven’t seen before.
These are fascinating! Thank you for showing these beautiful cards! I am also a huge fan of JR Richard. I love collecting his cards. Very sad how his career was cut short. Really enjoyed this video! Keep up the great work with the channel!
Brent! More cool cards that I’ve never seen before, my friend. Thanks for sharing! Also, sweet gift from Dan! He is an amazing guy. Have a great day, buddy!
Unique and gorgeous cards! But I'm confused. You said you don't have to worry about licensing, you can do whatever you want, as long as you don't sell them. But he's selling them for $6 to $12. It doesn't bother me that he is, but it's confusing.
@@cryptonite8495 No, the guy on eBay that sells them (Grouchy Old Man) does that, but he’s not the manufacturer. I’m sure if there was a ton of money involved it would be different, but the small print runs amd small money, I guess it’s not that big of a deal. I just enjoy them for what they are. The article that I didn’t read all of explains it in more detail, but I just love the cards.
Fantastic collection! I love the monarch cards
Thanks man! 🤛🏻 Me too!
Hi Brent. I just picked up a couple of these on EBAY. Thank you so much for showing these cards. They are awesome looking.
That’s awesome, Jim! So glad I showed them then! Thanks again man
