Pruning is essential for competetive kingdoms. In the kingdom I just migrated to we actually zeroed about 500m power's worth of non contributing farmers to get more fighters in. I'll never understand why a farmer thinks he needs 5 million t5 troops to fight barbs and gather resources all day...
Well troop is hard to train so they don't want to kill them that's why it's takes years to get 5m t5 troop so they don't want to kill any I agree they should be given a chance if they don't drop some power they get zeroid
We’re going through a power drop right now in our kingdom. The sheer number of 100 m power farmers that a kingdom can accumulate over time is unbelievable!

Absolutely needs to happen. It’s not right everyone else has to carry the load and get matched against tougher kingdoms all because of high power dead weight. Troops are meant to die, train more live on
1254 will be matched against the toughest opponents no matter whether they zero farmers or not. That's not a kind of kingdom that fill hospital to have easier matchmaking.

That recruitment at the end made my day. It sounded like:"yo 100m+ guys come to us, fight with us. but if you do not show up and zero yourself, then we gonna hunt you down after kvk and kill you off while your sleeping." I guess thats the price for playing in an imperium kingdom. Also winning any event is like 100x more expensive then in any other kingdoms. But with current matchmaking you dont need to be imperium. My last HA kvk got 3 kingdoms in each camp. The total power and activity was pretty much imperium. We also fought for weeks non stop, but there is a difference (positive). You dont share events between each kingdom, so even smaller guys in my kingdom can win one of those 20 GH events. Imagine, in my kingdom 20 GH training minutes rank 1 is about 180-250k. Also you fight "normal" guys during kvk. Its great to not only get killed by max tech players all the time. But as always cool content, keep up the good work chisgule.
i disagree with that. you only need 2 or 3 marches in imperium kd teams to fight, no need to show off, let the whales take the sculptures and upgrade garrison and rally commander, rest can just focus on 2 or 3 commander that's it and focus on gears
@@abhinaavsaikia7833 you missunderstood my point there. Its 10x cheaper to get rank 1 in smaller kingdoms = you can upgrade and get rewards cheaper = you need to spend way less and can fight longer during kvk. Also you fight "normal" guys during kvk.

It sucks for them but this is what you sign up for when being apart of an competitive kingdom and not carrying your weight during kvk. I really don't understand why anyone would have a problem with zeroing deadweight. Great vid as always Chis!

Having 4 50m hard-core fighters instead of 1 200m casual whale makes a difference.
Idk not much 50m players can do to be quite honest. 50mil probably won’t kill off many troops or if they do then they can’t even field a full march of t5s. I get what you mean but say 4 65-70mil players than yes that’s better
The people who get upset about this are the people who would also be zeroed for non-contribution. Our kingdom had a huge migration out a year ago which left us with a small group of fighters and a bunch of lower contributors. We've been going through the process of building some up to shape them into contributors, but the ones who aren't even willing to try...they gone. Just has to happen. 200M power especially. You are an imperium/matchmaking burden if you have that many troops, so you need to use them. Hate to see that much money burn up in troops, but at the same time it was their choice to go to 1254. No one forced them to. GG and great video and explanation Chisgule. Sharing this to my fellow leaders in our kingdom just in case any had trepidations about zeroing dead weight.
Just curious. Will they zero the guy with the japaneese(?) characters in his name who started this kvk at 432 mil at start and ended with 435. Never was under 415 mil at any point of the kvk.

But not only remaining but going above the power he went into KvK with thats sus.
There are people in most competitive kingdoms that keep track of peoples KP/Deads of top several hundred players(Or maybe even all with how dedicated some people are) so its up to kingdom officers to decide further action and to see whether the player contributed or not.
@@-Temple- Yes, this is why I mentioned that he never went below 415 mil that kvk (started at 432 if I remember correctly), let's give him the benefit of the doubt and say he dropped to 410 max and I didn't see it, even though I was a very frequent viewer of the fights in that kvk. I observed that he fought in the field a lot, but rarely rallied anything as far as I saw, swarmed flags twice in the whole kvk, and he didn't lose more than 5 mil power swarming .After z5 he was back to above 432 (most likely trained for Zenith). So the thing is , maybe he fought in the field a lot and I can confirm that he did it, but Chisgule was talking about "death criteria" and "dropping x amount of power and having x amount of troops die" and surely he didn't fit it. So why are they only punishing this Baby Chewbacca guy but not him? Shows double standards.
And of course I really really really doubt that the death criteria for a 400 mil power player in a warrior kingdom like 254 is 20 mil-ish power lost
Not contributing in a super competitive imperium is worthy of zeroing. However, where I do sympathize is when people in tier C or D kingdoms think that they too need to zero “dead weight”. IMO, matchmaking on power is fundamentally flawed. Not everyone plays ROK 8 hours a day. In lower tier kingdoms, if you are not available for pass opening due to commitments such as work, then you may miss all of the fighting in KvK. Battles in tier C and D kingdoms only last a few hours, so it’s understandable that some people won’t be available during that short window of time.
This is an aspect of ROK I dislike as it forces everyone to play the game a certain way. If you only like PvE and don’t have time to be a big contributor in KvK then there is no opportunity for you because of poor game mechanics. I can’t help but feel bad for people who are zeroed by their own kingdom.
yes the short windows of fighting are a dogpoo design by Lilith. Equally agree that C and D kingdoms don't need to adopt this hyper zealous hyper competitive mantra that top kd's use, in regards to dead weight, they arent a casual kd and not a top kd, or even a threat to those kingdoms if you gave them pass 7s for free and nothing change that. These are the times copying your favourite streamer backfires and kills your kd. Also why i put these comments. Its to show both sides. Not only "wat the pros" are doing.
In lost kingdom c11459 a little kingdom is holding off and imperium kingdom at the pass for 3 days now by themselves !

To be honest. Getting that player down to like 65M would be sufficient (Leave him like 1M troops + a full hospital). It’s enough to get him out of the top 300, but leaves the city functional. In an ideal situation you talk to the non contributors and give them a chance to leave the kingdom.

@@kingpalafox1045 Ferisadi is right though, one of my old kingdoms fully zeroed a 200M so he spent some more money to get his troops back and started zeroing random people under 50M. It wasn't worth it in the end.

Problem is that sometimes these players subsequently go rogue. Can’t leave them with the ability to harm the kingdom.

Neither. First investment should be VIP 10 then YSG. YSG still provides good return when you reach SoC while Richard drops off hard. No one should invest in gold key commanders because of how valuable sculptures are.

I mean, I understand but like me, my wife had a stroke and was in the hospital for a month. I was able to login and communicate and participate a little sitting in the hospital but maybe someone can't and it's why they are unresponsive. A game is not important in that situation. Then when all is settled you come back and your city is zeroed? That's kinda crappy.

Communication goes a long way. I'm sure if one spoke about their situation irl, leadership would understand. If you're able to log in and Communicate a little bit, then you can send out a message saying you have irl emergencies and won't be able to participate. Communication goes a long way :)
Before i enter or commit on a imperium kingdom u know that u will have to fight according to their standards regardless of situation... Well that's a part of the u wont die if you get zeroed, real life matters
That's when you let your city go inactive to remove it from your kingdoms power ranking. That's why you contact your kingdom to let them know what's going on, because most of the time if they are feeling nice they will instead wait for that to happen before registering for the next kvk. A guy in my kingdom did just that after our most recent kvk. He said he was busy with RL, left the alliance, ported to a corner of the map, and sat there until his city went into hibernation.

Lower kingdom are the best. The server can handle the fights, no lags and all the fun.
And you don't meet a max tech with 7 marches on first pass opening.

He could go through cancer treatment during kvk and couldn't show up. I had an R4 in my old kingdom that said he was going away for a while for an operation for a tumor. He had zeroed himself during that kvk to not become dead weight. We didn't hear from him after that on discord or in game. I still hope he just quit the online space to pursue life goals, just a wish but I hold it dear.

shaving non contributor is essentiel to stay competitive. you say even more in imperium but it is also really necessary in lower kingdom like c/d. cause not doing it will put you in a B kingdom for example while technicaly your active fighting power is a C kingdom
I think the system is a little broken tho, because for low spenders and f2p can’t keep zeroing themselves every kvk and expect to rebuild in less than 3 months and do it all over again and at the same time have enough speedups and rss to be in the fight also.

@@lollol-hm7oz the thing is, that my kingdom for example it wasn’t imperium, and it got there a couple of times already with people coming in and out. You can’t really control that, and it cost a lot to move to another kingdom, even with the AE heads sold on the shop.

Good Kingdoms have contribution requirements that are adjusted to the power level of the player.
Dropping imperium makes sense, but the KvK matchmaking logic you present is irrelevant imo. If you're the best fighters (which I think 254 always deserves credit for being in discussion) then why worry about how powerful the kingdoms you face will be? To be and remain the best you need to always face and beat the best opponent available.
For à kd like 254 its not about the matchmaking but its about dropping imperium to make place for a good migration

I feel it would be better for them to migrate out when possible rather than zeroing them without giving them a choice but I still believe what you guys are doing is right but I also believe their are better options rather than zeroing a non-contributer.

You can call me a pitchfork if it helps but i feel there's a super lack of respect for real money in these scenarios. Equally, i feel in the long run this kind of behaviour is dangerous, you have to be supportive of ppl's irl's and particularly around tax time/covid 19times/exam times/mid year break etc. You can argue they should communicate but a KD leadership should also be talking to their whales regularly, so the fault is not 1 sided. In the long run you lose top quality players who take downtime and most don't return/rebuild.
I dont think every kd needs to be so ruthless or play but this regiment but the top kd's do. In a game where the investment is huge i think the community as a whole needs to stop shooting themselves in the foot, the only one who wins is Lilith. I'd be much more inclined to put these type of people in the bottom alliance next kvk and if they screw up again/disrupt kd, zero them then. Finding players to migrate is going to get harder and harder, as time goes by(unless your kd is top 32)to keep kingdoms alive. This is the most expensive game of p2w chess/tic tac toe out there.

Lol I don't know people expect when you migrate into a fighting kingdom. If you take up 200m power worth of space and don't fight or contribute then you are literally worthless to the 200-300 other people in that kingdom. That's like parking your car in the middle of the highway and getting all surprised and indignant when the city tows it 🤷♂
I'm sorry, what is the point of zeroing this person so far. You didn't need to get them this low for emporium. Do you want to make the player quit the game or punish them? I'm not a whale and I know how long it would take me to get to that power, and if I was dropped that much by being zeroes from my own kingdom I would just quit instead of trying and build back. I may be taking this personal with my family situation as I was lucky and could log in from time to time but I could've very well been in this situation.

Make the player as low as possible so they have an easy time migrating out. If they choose to stay they know the consequences of not meeting contribution goals moving forward.
You sign up for it when you migrate to competitive kingdoms. Why is that so difficult to understand?
It's not about dropping from imperium, it's about making sure that everyone pushing the kingdom into imperium is actually worth the harder matchmaking. If your kingdom is imperium but 150 people in the top 150 are farmers, then you are going to have zero chance at winning. In the off-chance you DO win kvk, then all the farmers that sat in zone 4 gathering and barbing instead of helping get all the same rewards you and your buds fought tooth and nail to get. Yeah it sucks to be zeroed, but it sucks even worse when your kingdom is Seed A in power with a Seed C level of member activity.
You know joining a competitive kd like 254 means that you contribute every kvk and not be a deadweight. If your goal is just to farm then join a dead kd and farm all you want
zeroing is somewhat dumb. Not everyone can spend 8 hours a day playing rok. Working hours etc . Time zone can also be a factor. It is borderline bullying. Some kids invest money and maybe their parents won't let them spend all their time playing. It can be so many reason and people just assume that either they are farmers or cowards. Farming is after all part of the game and people can also contribute by assisting other players which allo them to keep playing. There is also the fact that the process is not fair. If you are good friend with someone in council, chances is that you will not get zeroed.

I really like chisgule, his videos are informative and entertaining, he is just a great ambassador for ROK. But as long as cortex shows up in the live streams I will not purchase a membership. Man I have an intense dislike for that guy.
