i believe in fabfilter pro q3 you can click and drag to highlight all the points and delete them all at once!

Yep or even better command/control click on the bands gain knob and you're right back at unity

When you use Reaper, you can just alt-click the wet dry knob on any FX and listen to the delta, it's honestly the best feature it has.

I know it's not exactly production work, but your "Partition" section is why I fell in love with Dorico, the notation software. It seperates the "writing" and "engraving" into different partitions and found it really helped me focus while composing.
Also shoutout to Focusrite FAST plugins for their partitions.

I think you've offered a great list of important features in 2023. This represents a shift further away from plugins simply emulating legacy production tools and processes, i.e. "yet another 1176 in software." I'm most interested in new products that do what has not been possible before modern computers and DSP, with metaphor-busting UI. Thanks also for shining a light on a few of my current tools. I use both Melodyne and Soothe2, and am now seeing slightly different ways to approach them.

God damn it I wasn’t gonna buy any more plugins but seeing this video and reading the comments got me itching to buy Claro and either Melda EQ or Sonible EQ

I wish Oxone would listen to the entire song rather than the loudest part. I think with that much data it would be able to build a far better chain.
I know processing would take longer but it could be a great update to the software.

I’ve always felt uneasy using the master assistant mainly because of this. It just goes way too fast and leaves me thinking come on no way you could give me something personalized just by that little piece of information…. and I always feel like the master assistant makes the sound worse unfortunately. Would definitely take that trade off between time and quality!

Oh wow! I didn’t know Fabfilter could do that! always learning things with your videos that I don’t learn in other TH-cam channel. So glad to be one of your subscribers. Continue dropping videos I love them all thanks!

The only thing that I’ve seen that came close to that Fabfilter resonance feature is the RESO plugin from the Master the Mix bundle. I do feel however that Reso takes more out of the sound in its entirety than it should and it is not as intuitive as the fabfilter way..

I would love to see what you thought of the Kilohearts ecosystem with the snapins and hosts. It has become my go to for mixing and creative fx. The only thing I feel is missing is a dedicated deesser but it is possible to make one.

    - I've always felt that Melodyne's volume leveling feature has gone unheralded and many mixers are missing it. I use it, especially on bass guitars. And, as you say, it eases the load on a compressor and allows you to use the compressor more for coloration. I can't quite tell, but I've wondered if it is basing its changes on peak versus loudness values. It's also a great de-esser - with far more control. More DAWs should incorporate these features.
    - As far as Split EQ goes, I sometimes wish it operated dynamically versus only statically.
    - AND... And this is a big AND... All plugins should incorporate Auto Gain. Getting tired of plugin manufacturers not doing this. AND... if they do auto gain, don't make the gain a little louder than normal, as some seem to do.
    - Another feature that would be sweet for many plugins, especially for EQs, is the ability to switch EQ profiles on a song. That is, Sonible and Melda EQ plugins allow a user to switch EQ profiles over a song based on the different parts of a song. Again, in my humble opinion, all plugins should do this.
    - Sonible's variable dynamic EQ is also a very nice feature that more EQs should incorporate.
    - It would be nice if all plugins also had a Delta button as well.

So true! Didn’t know that those EQ’s you mentioned actually could switch profiles between different parts. Need to check them out cuz that sounds amazing!
