I'm about to drop my brand new album to Bandcamp this weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday February 11th I know it's on super bowl Sunday but I don't watch the super bowl lol. I'd like to invite you to at least listen to a couple of the songs. The entire album is going to be free for the first couple of years you know. My wife passed away 14 months ago months and I'm still not over it at all and I put everything I could into this album and I'll be honored if you would just listen and let me know I responding to this comment that you listened. Four of the six tracks are already on my bandcamp under Alecia Shepherd. I don't be releasing it in its entirety I don't even know why I'm telling you this to be honest with you. I've been a fan of your channel your music and your astounding bass talents for years now. You have no reason whatsoever to recognize his comment but I hope you do. And thank you for shredding system of a down I love system of a down
The first SOAD song I ever heard from Guitar Hero: World Tour and still one of my absolute favourite songs to listen and jam to so I absolutely loved this, absolutely brilliant, man
I accidentally played this at 0.75x speed the first time and thought... wow that's fast! Second view at 1x speed was just insane. You are both amazing. Good work on the ad integration too...
Your titles always make me smile, but the "Kirk Hammett plays bass and joins SOAD" line (and its interpretation) absolutely killed me 😂 Oh, and hi and thanks to Bernth!!
I’ve never heard of Bernth before this, but I was BLOWN AWAY by how effortless he made his playing look. That’s the mark of a master. No flash or spectacle or big showy movements, just pure, refined SKILL.
The music with Bernth was a total treat - you guys play so well together my ear drums are all blistered up !! - the ad is priceless - well executed incredibly funny - I hope they pay you huge $ for that level creativity - !! keep ripping
around the 1:00 mark we see Charles perform an illusion, my ears hear one thing, my eyes see his fingers doing the things, but I cannot put them together in a way that makes any sense and I have been playing guitar for the best part of 30 years haha! You're a beast of a musician!
Ahh yes! We were rightfully overdue for a glorious @bernthguitar accompaniment to a metalfunkalishious slap bass composition! As always, very well done gentleman! 😎
The end of #2 reminded me of the 2:49 point of Human Murmuration by Archspire lol. You said to comment suggestions so I'd love to see you play anything from First Fragment, Equipoise, Archspire or Beyond Creation. Not really bands that will get you the most views but I think you'd fully appreciate the bass skill and neoclassical feel if you're not already familiar. Also didnt expect the Bernth collab lol. A collaboration playing any of the aforementioned bands with El Estebario Siberiano would be the zenith of the internet thus far. Love your content you absolute animal 🤘
Back to bassics. As for what to play next, I can't find any videos of anyone attempting a concerto with violins and electric bass. Got the idea after listening to Daft Punk/Pharrell Gust of Wind instrumental.
With the goalie El Estepario Siberiano and creative midfielder Andre Antunes from spain and the very entertaining attacking partner Bradley Hall. Singer? Nah...
SUPER AWESOME!!!! two of my favourite people playing one of my favourite songs ❤❤❤❤ id love to maybe see some pantera next, those dimebag solos could be interesting right?
Hi. Some words to you and a Challenge at the end. I just love your bass playing, when you take a song and twist it around and make something spectacular out of it. Wow, I really enjoy following you and your music, I listen to it a lot- in fact; there’s a lot of songs I actually started listening to after your interpretation of them. I really would love to hear you play the epic competition from the movie "Crossroads” on our favorite instrument: the BASS. Of course- with your special interpretation to make it even beyond epic. If anyone can make it better- it’s you. I hope you make my day and enjoy the challenge. Thanks for sharing your journey and your awesome bass skills
I think this might be the first video of yours, where I would love some kind of "unplugged" video version as well. Just the sound of the basses/guitar that is visible in the video, without the added backing track drums and guitars. You've played amazing stuff, and the end result sounds incredible, but I would love to be able to hear the insane bass parts more isolated and cleaner as well. (So I don't want a clean/unplugged version to replace this version, but rather an additional version to that.
Charles, I just went to a G3 concert this week, where Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson all played. And it's got me thinking, I would LOVE to see a cover of Surfing With An Alien by Joe or For The Love Of God by Steve. Or if you want some fun tapping, Satch Boogie!

Besides the incredible level of skills you both posses in the video, I'm over here also jumping about because O the editing of the video. 10/10
"CSHS is not a condition recognized by the major health authorities". Me: This should clearly changed!
Thanks for bringing me Charles 😂🤘 You killed it 🤯
Best collab ever yo yeehaw!
Amazing stuff ! Now I'm just hoping for both of you to play something with El Estepario Siberiano , that would be the ultimate killer collab .
Pure Insanity man! Loved it!
both of your economy of motion is just off the charts
Challenge me!!!!!
Wow, just incredible, and bringing your own Bernth, genius idea 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼🏴
I fucking LOVE BYOB
It didn't stop the war, but for few months I thought it might.
WERE ALL GOING TO THE PARTY

Bring your own bass ?
Charles is in no band, but he is also in every band. Charles is a bass paradox.
Ive always enjoyed watching Charles's vids, he and Davie inspired me to get a bass lol
Same i was watching them before I even played bass
Charles made me retake bass and take it seriously.

The first SOAD song I ever heard from Guitar Hero: World Tour and still one of my absolute favourite songs to listen and jam to so I absolutely loved this, absolutely brilliant, man
A Bernth collab is always a good day!
Bring Your Own Bernth indeed!
I accidentally played this at 0.75x speed the first time and thought... wow that's fast! Second view at 1x speed was just insane. You are both amazing. Good work on the ad integration too...
I'd never heard of Bernth before this. He's awesome. Y'all should do more collabs.
You're in for a treat. He takes my 20+ years of playing guitar and makes it look in comparison like I picked it up after writing this comment.
Your titles always make me smile, but the "Kirk Hammett plays bass and joins SOAD" line (and its interpretation) absolutely killed me 😂
Oh, and hi and thanks to Bernth!!
I love how at the end you can perfectly hear guitar and bass and both of them are beatiful and not annoyingly loud
I love those bits with Bernth because they're sort of a preview of how Charles would sound in a band context instead of a solo bassist
Always happy to witness the legendary Bernthoud duo together
Therapist: American Charles is not real. He cannot hurt you.
American Charles: 2:28
You are to bass as Bernth is to guitar. Two truly talented musicians and entertainers. I hope these crossovers between your channels continues!
I’ve never heard of Bernth before this, but I was BLOWN AWAY by how effortless he made his playing look. That’s the mark of a master. No flash or spectacle or big showy movements, just pure, refined SKILL.
That ad read was something else! Had me in stitches 😂
@2:10 Bernth is just insane! Slow strum picking with pull offs is 🤯
That little bit at 1:30 was so sick
The music with Bernth was a total treat - you guys play so well together my ear drums are all blistered up !! - the ad is priceless - well executed incredibly funny - I hope they pay you huge $ for that level creativity - !! keep ripping
SoaD is my all time favorite band. So good to hear this rendition!! I could hear Serj’s screams coming through your bass :) Also, cool collab!
SO AWESOME!!! Nailed it man! Great show!
Can you just go nuts on Mary Had a Little Lamb as if Cliff Era Metal met SOAD on the way to a Wooten concert? 🤔
Just imagine this band: Charles, Bernth and el Estepario.
That’s excellence.
That was amazing from start to finish! The both of you are absolute legends! Love the content and above all, much love to you guys!
Always impressive and entertaining. Your ability to break these songs down and add your flavor to it is an ability not many could even comprehend.
Fabulous in every aspect.
Have been re overing from GAS for 4 years now.
That bass may kick me off the wagon.
Admirable playing from both of you!
Wow, the transitions were so impressive, it felt like a slap across the face lol Thank you for the uploads and dedication!
Awesome, thanks, always a pleasure

2:31 "Night at the Roxbury"
Yup that old
Oh man! This was freaking EPIC!
Ahh yes! We were rightfully overdue for a glorious @bernthguitar accompaniment to a metalfunkalishious slap bass composition! As always, very well done gentleman! 😎
this might be my favourite video of yours yet! love this song
Best ad man in the business. The creativity behind both his music and humor are top notch
Kirk Hammet? Dude that was absolute Ride the Lightning Cliff
Wow, when pure joy spreads through your chest. You two would be an insane band.
My CSHS is doing very well, thank you Charles for bringing light to our condition.
BERNTH-N-BERTHOUD
Charles Bernthoud?😜
Bernthed&Berthoued 🤣

Awesome collab
Back to bassics.

Bernth’s shredding was so perfect and tasteful, I loved it
#9 sounds like an MMX4 song, and i mean it in the best fucking way possible
This was incredible high quality entertainment from start to finish. Well done good sir.

just learned how to tap well with bass camp, loving it 😍
That's awesome to hear, glad you're finding it helpful!
Bring Your Own Bass! Got to be your most difficult one to date,……well until your next video!!! Amazing man! ❤️
So listenable, great work.
Great Job! I like that animatic hand slide effect! It looks like a character from an anime about epic fighting!
I hope Shavo sees this, think he'd be pretty proud. Killed it my dude!!!
dude, this is the second charles + bernth colab. Which is great, but I need more. you 2 should form a band for sure.
New video!! This is a great birthday present! 🎉🎸
What a treat. Thank you!
Yea I think about half way in the rest of the band would dead-eye stare you and tell you to leave. 10/10

That whole collaboration put a big smile om my face
Awesome guys, what a great co-lab
Amazing! And I enjoyed Bernth playing one of my guitars, AZ prestige, a f... stradivarius.
Good to see you relaxing with a nice slow piece. At least for four bars anyway.
one of my all time faves - you killed it 🙌🙌🙌
I can’t put in to words just what this does to my soul… I love it ❤️
LoL! BEST Ray on commercial at the end of another Amazing COLLAB!!! 😂🔥🔥🔥💯
Holy shit dude. You two killed this so hard. I don't even know how to craft a proper comment for this vid.👑

Amazing work! Absolutely loved it! Would love to hear you tackle Starkiller by Bear Ghost next!
Incredible as always, Charles!
I love when you play with Bernth. You two sound incredible together.
Dang...that was cool!!! Thank you, great as always!
I have the same strap. That is where our similarities end.
THAT HAD BETTER NOT BE YOUR LAST BYOB! Freaking awesome work.
the guitar licks is so clean, awesome
Crazy good ! Thanks for sharing !
The two of you just bring it everytime😃
Riff on Please Do Not Go by the Violent Femmes. It's got a great acoustic bass solo.
Simply Amazing
Those titles man! lol
Also, I love that you bring a guest friend during a 2m audition :P
Amazing guys, cheers from Ecuador 🇪🇨
This is what i needed today. Thanks! 🤘
That ad read was brilliant
Officially my favorite video you’ve ever made.
WOW !!!! That was so EPIC !!!
That was insanely amazing! 😮
That is AMAZING ❤
Next should be Get Up And Jump
🔥🔥🔥 this might be the best "hardest song" video you've done yet. Cheers!
One of the few youtubers who does their ads at the end of a video ❤
This is absolutely amazing Charles 🔥🔥🤘
Wow! Nice one
This is unreal
11: Meshuggah - Bleed
You guys are the best combo to ever exist
LOVED THAT!
I don't know why but his American accent in the ad read and "Charles Bear-thud" was hilarious.
Daddy Berthoud smashed it again, Shavo would be proud
