I greatly appreciate this video. I had this problem for about a month and a guy wanted to charge me $189 to change my bulb and that I buy the bulbs thank you very much. This video is so helpful that I could do it myself I am a woman and they think that I can just give them my money hard work money and I can’t do it so I like to investigate so I’m so happy that you had this video. I also saw some folks remove the bumper cover and the headlight lens to replace the bulbs. Heck no, that's crazy! My '06 Zephyr driver's side is a little different than yours. The air intake tube is right behind the ballast, so I had to remove the intake box/air filter. It was a little difficult, but way easier than taking the bumper cover off. Thanks for the vid and direction -it helped a LOT. Take care, man.

Amen brother!!!! But if you ever have to change one of the Ballast that needed to power the HID bulbs you have no choice but remove the front fascia to get the headlight assembly out.
I have the same car but when I pulled out the original bulbs the connector is not the same as the new the new HID silver Box like you have. Do you have to buy an adapter to go from the original wiring into yesterthing into the silver Box
If the connectors aren't the same then you must have regular halogen bulbs. You have to get an aftermarket HID kit, which is H11, that should just plug and play.
Correct, no bumper removal on an MKZ. However MKT is totally different. Bumper must be removed. There is no plastic access panel under fender and, bulb does not twist out, it's held in with 2 tiny torque screws. The MKT is a huge PIA job!

Nah, I sold mine and couple of years ago. I had it 3 years with no issues except having to put a new motor mount. Just keep the oil changed on time, and good coolant (orange) and it will last forever
Is it possible for you to do a video on how to change the fuses in both compartments of the 2007 Lincoln MKZ? I’m having issues with the right real tail lights of my car and I think it’s an issue with the fuses
Sorry bro but I sold my MKZ a couple of years ago and got an MKS but the fuse for the brake lights is in the fusebox under the dash. Fuse # 21 to be exact. If you just having problems with just that one tail light, then it's the light itself. Check the connection. Disconnect it and spray some contact cleaner in both connectors. If it still not working, then it's the light. There's no way to fix it because it's LED. Just replace it. I had to replace the driver's tail light on mine because it wouldn't light all the way up. I think I paid $65 from the junkyard.
It's pretty slim that both headlight bulbs would go out at the same time so I would check the fuses and relays. If the fuses are good then you could look to your headlight switch being the problem.
I'm pretty sure there's a video on here somewhere showing how to do it. But you just remove the plastic trim and remove the 10mm nuts to remove the light assembly.

Does it matter if you go from halogen to led bulbs?
If you have factory halogen bulbs then you can direct replace with LEDs. It's different if you have factory HIDs.

Have a 2008 Lincoln MKZ. And the main lights are not coming on, but the side lights are. How do you know if it’s the bulb or a fuse?

The bulb was good. I just changed them to 6K temperature which is white light.

Same thing. Parking light\turn signal bulbs are under the headlight bulb housing.

No. They don't have the access panels but you can just reach through the fender liner. Its better than taking the bumper cover off.

Yes you can. I changed mines out to LEDs before I got a nice offer for the car.

2006 is not the same as 07 zephyr - the air filter box has a long plastic fonder on the driver side blocking the low beam light
