Nice to have a dealer like Hans from Nautisch Kwartier who comes to do a job and finishes it. I can't say the same about the Lagoon dealer in SE Asia (Simpson marine), they're continuously sending different people with varying levels of expertise to my boat for a job that should have take 2 months but has been dragging on now for 6 months with no end in sight!
Has it really been 4 months? I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready to get back into the water. First, great job prepping the boat for the season. The new keel paint turned out really nice. Are you doing any upgrades this year in electronics or hardware? Thanks for the update. It’ll be interesting to see where you guys go this year. Welcome back, bon voyage.

If one were to plan to spend an entire year cruising the canals and waterways of Netherlands, on a private boat, what would be the ideal kind of boat (sailboats with mast down is not our cup of tea🙃) to use? With the narrow canals and low bridges... and sometimes having to venture into open water...? From inland waterways to coastal to open sea... ? Ideally, a boat for a couple but with room for kids so somewhere in the 40’ and above size? What’s the max height and draft in order to navigate safely? Thanks
That’s of course very much a question of personal preferences. I see lots of people cruising around on motor yachts. We would always prefer a sailing yacht, plenty of opportunity to see large parts of the country, as many bridges open regularly. Wouldn’t go over 40 feet though. If you really want to cruise all year bring a decent heater 😇
