i played this in arcade when i am a kid of 5 years old , lol , i feel better what if good i complete the game i am not the only one what this game was complecated to , jajajaj , cheers from argentina , n.n
Seriously! As a kid I could never beat the Deinosuchus boss because of how fast it came at you, it was too fast for me and put me in way too much stress!
You know what's more brutal about it? When you're aiming, there is no crosshair at all. So you won't be able to know what you're aiming at until you hit it. But that's in the arcade version
I want a survival horror Jurassic Park game, set up like Alien Isolation, in a sandbox farcry setting. Where you have weapons and safehouses, and you have to fight not only dinosaurs but also hide from packs of raptors that are constantly hunting you and you cant kill them. Same with a T-rex that roams the whole of the island. Where you have to be smart and know when it's okay to venture outside due to weather hazards, heavy rains, flash floods. Maybe add a listening perk so you can hear dinosaurs in the dense foliage of the jungles, and use herbivores to your advantage to hide from predators. That would be fun, and scary!
as +crayonkiler says, that exits and it is called Dino Crisis. It was released in 1999 and it was created due to Shinji Mikami liked the first movie a lot.
So let me get this straight, you steal a baby t-rex, to bring it to your RV and fix a sprained leg. Shortly thereafter, you proceed to murder his mother and father.
I didn't notice that as a kid, but yea, now that I've read the books you're definitely right. Glad that's also getting used for Jurassic World with the new hybrid dino.
Carnotaurus in the book was also a lot more like a real-life octopus than a chameleon, I think. Chameleons have very limited camouflage abilities, while Carnotaurus in the book was so quick with the camo that flashlights left trails on its skin, LOL
I remember playing this game with my dad in the arcade so many times. I a,ways felt a lil scared lmao. Good times. Bpnever got far tho i got my ass kicked
I remember the arcade version with a special player seat (a buggy to make u feel like a hunter). It was also next to this Afterburner game that also had a special seat...a 360 degree ball that put u upside down to feel the G-force (sorta). They don't invest in 'em like that anymore!
It’s amazing how the emulation of this game got stronger over the years. And now, some graphic details fixed, music now at a normal speed like in the actual game!
I remember always getting super excited whenever I walked into any old arcade and would hear 0:13 blast out of nowhere, way back when I was a little girl. *Good times, gooooood times*. :3
Troll Hunter Tylei me too when i was a little boy i used to get overully excited when i seen it and i remember when it first came out my childhood friend at the time and i was huge fans over when the movie first came out we played it the same night and when we seperated after 9 years later we reunited playing this game as we were kids and we were couins again i will never forget bringing our childhood back again this still will always be my fav movie after 20 years 1997 bring back the 90s
When I was little, I had the baby sitter from hell who made (not let -- FORCED) me to watch Jurassic Park when I was 3 even though the T-Rex scenes scared the shit out of me, scarring me for life and giving me a T-Rex phobia for the rest of my childhood. When I found this game at an Arcade, it freaked the shit out of me because I thought if dinosaurs ever invaded, we would all die because even the people in the game (who I thought were professional bad asses, not researchers with dart guns) never had a chance in hell. I mean hell, there IS NO God if you can't outrun a Tyrannosaurs Rex in a freaking car. ....Then, The Lost World of Jurassic Park came out, and I ended up watching that -- I swear, it was hell on Earth because it was like seeing my worst fears realized. From then on for like a year after that, I couldn't sleep without thinking I'd wake up to a giant bloodshot dinosaur eyeball staring at me through my window, looking for edibles inside. This video rocks; the game brings back so many funny memories, because I found myself still cringing during the T-Rex boss fights, especially the one with the Male at the end. XD
12:58 I always felt sort of bad for locking the dinosaurs in there. Now they will be trapped in there until they get so hungry that they eat each other and the last one left standing will die of loneliness.
Thanks for posting this dude! I spent hours playing this game as a kid in the arcade! It's too bad we never got a deinosuchus in the movies but at least we'll be getting a mososaur in Jurassic World.
This was the one where you sat in the jeep thing right? With the curtains? Such a cool design! If I were ever to actually buy an arcade cabinet, I would buy this one. Well, this or Time Crisis 3, or Area 51. Hmm...
6:15 what did i just see? was that a brontosaurus taking a shit, and the player shot dem in da asshole? *looks away* im not looking again *looks and sees it* OH THATS WHAT IT WAS OHHH THATS IT ITS OVER!
Thanks for putting your specs up. Its super annoying when people put up gameplay videos and they leave it up in the air what they're using to play it on.
Elliot Fais Or better, when the final Rex goes away, then breaks through a house that is even further away from you than it (Rex) was before haha I love the game though.
This is one of my favorite arcade games of all time!! I used to drop thousands of quarters during lunch break at my elementary school. I would love to see Sega's M2 do an HD re-release of this.
8:28 I get the point of that shot is to establish the deinosuchus' presence in the game, but think of the implications that the raptor was jumping _out_ of the boat. Either that thing just hangs around in the boat all day waiting for people to drive by, or _velociraptors learned how to captain boats,_ in which case we are all royally screwed.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to mention that I have another Sega Arcade Playthrough of The Ocean Hunter. Check out the video and do what you all do best, enjoy: The Ocean Hunter Arcade Game - Full Playthrough (Sega Arcade Classic)
Hi, I want to know if you have another link to download The Lost World: Jurassic Park Arcade Game. Thank a lot! Regards (the other links in the video don't work)
Man this arcade is very short, the way you have no choice to get hit its just a way for them to make you use your money to keep paying to play the game, and the difficultie
Holy shit, i remenber this when i was kid, this game was on the arcades site and it was really really scary because you need to enter in something like a big car with loud speakers everywhere :(
Ah, memories. Back when I was a little girl, I loved this arcade game!! I used to just sit in the seat pretending I was in the jeep. XD The T Rex and the little acid spitting dinos scared the crap out of me though so I never played it... :'( Great game, deserves a remake. :)
It's unlikely since they already used the "Jurassic Park" gimmick for Carnotaurus from the 1995 sequel novel (chameleon-like camouflage) for the I-Rex in "Jurassic World"... can't see them including it without that
Yep, it was totally necessary to put your PC's specs in the description. Because you know, you totally need a gaming PC with really good specs to play a 1997 arcade game.
InGen needed electricity for the enclosures of the fences so the dinosaurs couldn't break into the most important places. The aviary has an old fence that was used from the windmills, it had electricity until hurricane Clarissa had hit the island and all the places that were most important to InGen's research.
I wish they could add that chameleon carnotaurus in a game or movie as a big boss fight fast agile smart but relies allot on chameleon DNA so is constantly slow in close quarters and i wish he could be in packs so even tougher than one and i wish that the carno got to face big game and also bigger predators than himself and give them two designs one with a strong neck that can take multiple beatings of car rams ect and so they may be a secret project revealed broken down and then everything goes wrong.
I hardly make comments on youtube, but as i grew up playing this legendary classic. I have to point out 3 things. 1) Played it so many times, done every possible shots ever (as I thought so), till i saw a kid randomly shoot raptors & he did something I thought was never possible. He shot the raptor before the raptor got onto the glass (made the glass fall and you need 4 shots to clear the falling glass pieces) He got 10000 points for it. 2) If you chained the shots together, the score will really pile up. The yellow "snipe shot" starting is 100 points per shot, by around 50th shot... it will be 2k per hit. Also the combo carries on to next stage. So after you kill the Carnotaurus (if it was your 30+ or so shot or even the 10th snipe shot), when next stage starts, those small little dinos will continue the combo. That's why I don't use useless shots (worth a crappy 10 points) per hit. Also tried to go during less busy times at the arcade, so no random stranger will play the 2nd gun and ruin the score. 3) The shotgun, increases the percentage of accuracy since every shot is counted as 1 shot but hit 3 or so targets. Just my 2 cents. Peace out.
Yeah, someone liked the camouflaging carnotaurus from the Crichton novel "The Lost World" so they just applied the idea to the I-Rex in "Jurassic World" since the carnotaurus never made it into the movie version of "Lost World"
That chameleon-type dinosaur ur talking about is a Carnotaurus that is based off the one from the novel where there is a Carnotaurus-hybrid that had the power to camoflauge. Same with the Indominus Rex u were talking about.
***** LOL nope. T-rex's skull was not harder than a diamond. How do I know? Diamond is the hardest known natural material on earth. No form of bone even comes close.
Jessie E well these aren't actually dinosaurs, DNA can't survive 65 million years so Hammond used a system similar to crispr(look it up) to alter DNA and create "dinosaurs"
Wow. I remember I used to play this at the mall but died at the carnotaurus part. A really huge part of my childhood. I was a really big fan of dinosaurs. Thx bro, your video made me recover my memory. And also I was very curious of what hapened after the carno part. Now I know.
It's amazing how brutally hard these games were.
i played this in arcade when i am a kid of 5 years old , lol , i feel better what if good i complete the game i am not the only one what this game was complecated to , jajajaj , cheers from argentina , n.n
How else you gonna get those quarters out of the kid's pockets?
While it is from 1997, the model design on the T-Rex is amazingly well done. I loved playing this game at all of the arcades.
It kinda does have the animation difference between Sega's Lost World Jurassic Park arcade with the Konami's Jurassic Park III arcade.
TyrannoWright me to
if you think that's fun try the new Walking Dead arcade game it's more challenging and it gives the hand eye coordination to kill more faster.
oh yes really
Is it still in any arcade? Because me and my sister really used to like playing the whole game but now I can't find it in anymore.
God bless everyone.
that crocodile is the reason i did not like water as a kid
Glistening Aura Its called a Deinosuchus to let u know
You'd be scared to go anywhere near the beach if they didn't go extinct
I used to be afraid of the Deinosuchus when I was younger.
I want a survival horror Jurassic Park game, set up like Alien Isolation, in a sandbox farcry setting. Maybe add a listening perk so you can hear dinosaurs in the dense foliage of the jungles, and use herbivores to your advantage to hide from predators. That would be fun, and scary!
omg, I always thought of that
Dino Crisis
And then half way through the game, InGen mercenaries infiltrate the island to collect data before the island is fire bombed by jets.
as +crayonkiler says, that exits and it is called Dino Crisis. It was released in 1999 and it was created due to Shinji Mikami liked the first movie a lot.
If you have weapons, why can't you kill them?
I spent so much money on this game...
+Caleb Block same here bro, same here
Me too, I was actually just looking for it at an arcade just yesterday! haha
:)
Caleb Block so as i
Caleb Block same
I had this game so memorized when I was a kid that I recreated the entire game in order with my action figures at home haha
Dylan Benedict I do that too with the films and games
I did the exact same thing!
Oh my god. I thought I'm the only one doing this
Same !!!! xD
Same here.... made a little village with raptors and dilophosaurs. I also made a a game trail with all the herbivores.
The voice actors sound just thrilled, don't they?
jonasgrant Remember the house of the dead 2? The voice acting there is so outstanding it almost brought a tear to my eyes.
Ñññññññññññññññññññññññññññ
jonasgrant You could really feel the fear in their voices
Maxime so thrilled.
Maxime They just act like nothing happened, especially the ones you rescued. Bad voice acting.
lol i remember playing this when i was little and thinking these were the most realistic graphics ever and was so real looking it was so cool and fun!
Its straight out of the lost world novel, read it sometime
Beaver .Media It's Real Beaver
Specially the power bars
So let me get this straight, you steal a baby t-rex, to bring it to your RV and fix a sprained leg. Shortly thereafter, you proceed to murder his mother and father.
Sounds like child protective services doesn't it?
Well they ain't human so fuck em! It's not like their some sort of extinct creatures or anything...
So just because they aren't like us means that we should treat them differently?
Karan Kadaru Dude, it's a fucking video game. WHo cares? I murder dinos all the time in games lol.
I'm pretty sure they're tranquilizer darts. It's said so on the tutorial so the T-Rex family was unharmed, nor everything you pretty much shot at.
Oh god the nostalgia... I used to play this game with my Dad all the time in our local arcade.
I still remember playing the Jurassic park 1994 arcade at Chuck E cheese's when I was 5
Me too!!!
Same here. I wonder if its possible to buy this arcade somewhere?
This was the best Jurassic park game. Just remembering the amount of money it cost me to play the game in the arcades.
"that's a chameleon-type dinosaur."
me: no wonder why it's eyes is Derp.
@@blackrockshooter4796how about i call it (CHAMELEOTAURUS)
His name is toast
THREE YEARS LATER AND IM STILL LAUGHING AT THIS SHIT
Funny thing, the disappearing Carnotaurus was actually from the Lost World novel, appearing in almost the same place.
I didn't notice that as a kid, but yea, now that I've read the books you're definitely right. Glad that's also getting used for Jurassic World with the new hybrid dino.
The indominous rex, even though they used a cuttle fish dna.

+sacred power That doesn't explain the horns on its head. Chances are they used carnotaurus DNA instead of cuttlefish DNA.
It actually has both.
Deinosuchus--aka 'terrible alligator'--was actually kind of startling and unpredictable at times; still a cool prehistoric predator, though.
It's a crocodile type dinosaur, not an alligator type dinosaur.😑
I remember playing this game with my dad in the arcade so many times. I a,ways felt a lil scared lmao. Good times. Bpnever got far tho i got my ass kicked
My brother and I were scared shitless trying to kill the male trex but to no avail.
I have the same story! Except of our end in trailer, where T-Rexes just finished us! :-)
Same. We always had the high score after so many times playing.
Why does the T-Rex looks so good in comparison to everything
Idk but I kinda like the Carnotaurus cause listen to the battle theme.
I remember the arcade version with a special player seat (a buggy to make u feel like a hunter). It was also next to this Afterburner game that also had a special seat...a 360 degree ball that put u upside down to feel the G-force (sorta). They don't invest in 'em like that anymore!
Today I found that one in the shopping center in my city. I loved playing this game and seating in the comfortable place XD
I wish they brought these games back on any console we have. I would LOVE to play this game again.
someone in 2024?
( i watch the same video when i was really young now in 17 ) incredible after 9/10 years i found it again...
Same.
Got bored with 2020s and came back here
Even when I was still little, I wondered how these people were slaying these extremely fast dinosaurs with what looks like bolt-action rifles.
Wait... I didn't know raptors could row boats!! 8:25
Lol XD

*Oh god, they're becoming more advanced*

i have played this game every single day when i was young i hope i get to play it for the last time if i find it
Install it on your pc
They should put this for the Wii
Thats what I thought as well, would have worked perfectly!
I totally agree. Perhaps they should have had a 'Classic arcade collection' disk, with all games like Time Crisis 1-3, Jurassic Park, etc.
chankljp
that would be too amazing. HD on the WiiU would be the only hope.
They did it with House of the Dead 2 and 3, why not this? With Jurassic World coming out, it's a perfect opportunity!

I dare you to look it up. XD
Kiki ✨ Kaiju alright I will
Did you REALLY have to a shoot a dino while it's taking a shit??? XDDD

You do, otherwise it poops on you.

No problem. These specs are overkill lol. But yes this is what I used to play the game on.
The music when you pass a stage is so cash
Not as cash as your squirtle pic lmao xD
This bring back memories.. I played this game when i was around 7 years old on the arcade . I was such an avid gamer of this game back then.

the crocodile boss fight gave me nightmares when i was a child

Eian Agapito No, it IS Deinosuchus. Sarcosuchus has a much longer snout.

Yea, in the book it actually states that Carnotaurs were linked with chameleon dna
Nostalgia at its finest!
I remember this game in an arcade in Nathan's. It brings me so much memories. I used to be so scared of this game.
My pops spent 20$ playing this with me as a kid

Yeah, someone liked the camouflaging carnotaurus from the Crichton novel "The Lost World" so they just applied the idea to the I-Rex in "Jurassic World" since the carnotaurus never made it into the movie version of "Lost World"
Actually, I rex was based on cuttlefish. Not chameleons.
That chameleon-type dinosaur ur talking about is a Carnotaurus that is based off the one from the novel where there is a Carnotaurus-hybrid that had the power to camoflauge. Same with the Indominus Rex u were talking about.

OH FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD!!!!!!!!! HOW MANY RAPTORS DID THEY HAVE TO BREED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***** I know that. It was a joke meant to poke fun at the fact that the park was a bad idea in the first place lol
Guys, it was a joke.
Bruh no way is that a tranquilizer gun
My thoughts exactly too man LOL
Buen video
I remember playing this at the arcade when I was little .loved it
Playing this as a kid was just ... Unbelieveble!!!
*sniff* *cries missing childhood*
BEST GAME EVEEERR!!!
HAHA okay, so a bullet can deflect a huge, steel beam, but it can't go through a t-rex's face? Strange physics.
***** LOL nope. T-rex's skull was not harder than a diamond. How do I know? Diamond is the hardest known natural material on earth. No form of bone even comes close.
Vermin E T-rex skulls are as hard as Diamond.
John Reeves Um, no they are not. Diamond is the hardest known natural substance. There is no bone that is anywhere near as hard or dense as diamond.
Jessie E well these aren't actually dinosaurs, DNA can't survive 65 million years so Hammond used a system similar to crispr(look it up) to alter DNA and create "dinosaurs"
shame they canceled the dreamcast version
The graphics are way worse than I remember them... I remember playing this game and thinking I was watching the movie.
congrats on 3 million ddr :) good job man
Never could get past the first level when I played this in the arcade. Designing the Carnotaurus after a chameleon was genius.
did they seriously said that the carnotaurus is a chameleon
type dinosaur?
Exactly what i was thinking.
It was made in the 1990s for Arcades. Besides just look at velociraptors in Jurrassic Park. They were never that big or looked like that.
All the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park are modified, after all. This is how Carnotaurus is portrayed in the novel as well.
Quickscript
yup, i just found out about that XD
***** jeez, chill out
6:13 I guess you could call that a Brachiosauranus...
Taking one mean shit
No it's a megasoreass it had curry last night
Mamenchisauranus, actually
Brachiosaur *Anus*
What are the bloody power bars for?
Maybe for the health.
+Napoleonheir1805 If im not wrong its to increase the power of your shots against the bosses.
+Napoleonheir1805 3 power bar = 1 bar of health
Wow. I remember I used to play this at the mall but died at the carnotaurus part. A really huge part of my childhood. I was a really big fan of dinosaurs. Thx bro, your video made me recover my memory. And also I was very curious of what hapened after the carno part. Now I know.
Great memories of my dad and I beating this game back home at an arcade in Rochester, NY
