Thank you sooo much, this helped me understand my biochemistry notes so much better!
My professor thinks if I know this, I will be a better doctor. SO THANK YOU. Well explain
thanks you made it so much easier to understand
I read in other sources that the exchange of carnitine & CoA happens after crossing the OMM - in the intermembrane space...
Makes real sense thank u❤❤❤
I was so sad for not understanding this part but after your video I understand it now so THANK U you are perfect
this is amazing thank you
Thankyou very much
Great! Thanks!
THANK YOU
I wonder whether supplementing beta-alanine could potentially lead to increased synthesis of carnitine. Maybe there is some enzyme that adds hydroxyl group to beta-alanine, or there is no direct link, and it is only a structural coincidence.
Hey do you have a source that acylcarnitine diffuses across the OMM?
Hi, is it because of the hydrophobic carboxilic group of acyl-CoA which is why it has to be converted to acylcarnitine? I was also wondering if the CoA gets transported across the membrane> or is there a store of CoAs in the miitochondrial matrix?
Also amazing video. its made it so much clearer
