This is a classic. First I cry, then I'm laughing. Only Dan. Such a great story.
My dog just died unexpectedly and I immediately came back to this. First smile I’ve had since it’s happened. Love this show forever😌
Mike leading in with “I wanna be your dog” by the stooges is just incredible.
I told Dan that I listened to this when my pet died.. it made me feel less alone.

Thank you for posting these older broadcasts! I have this one saved from when it broadcast along with even older ones, but it's nice to know they're here as well.
I remember listening to this "Dan's Dog Dies" segment on ESPN's stream. It's crazy that the loony LeBatard Show could leave a listener sadly weeping, but this one almost did for me, as I had my golden retriever put down not long before. It's Dan sharing his most vulnerable feelings... and Stugotz and Cote coming to the rescue!

I don't even know if I can laugh at this.....i want to laugh but I felt horrible hearing this ..... I can just visualize a shirtless and weeping Lebatard driving around late at night... I mean it's funny but it's not
one time I saw Joey Buddafucco at a stop sign. oh, and Archie Moore in an elevator, and Danny Glover in a UPS store - all true. I'm just sharing that because I figure everyone cares.

Why didn't you molest me dad. Did u not love me, was I not good looking enough for u. Tommy flannigans dad molested him but u won't molest me. An still to this day I haven't been molested by my dad an to this day I'm convinced my father doesn't love me
Back when the show was still great. The show has been bad in 2018 and in 2019. Dan has lost it. Stu has lost it and so has Mike Ryan & Greg Cote.

And it got even worse in 2020 and 2021. This show is unlistenable. I've skipped more episodes than ever this year.
@@vitintres2451 If I worked for ESPN then Lebatard and everyone on the crew would still work there too and the show wouldn't get worse until 5 or 6 years later. Allyson Turner would still be on the show as well.
