This bus station is such a poor design. Tight blind bends, conflicting movements, no dedicated pedestrian crossing points. Pretty exposed to the cold as well, especially in Winter with the wind coming off the river. I understand why the council wanted to locate it outside where it's lighter, but a more traditional design with an indoor waiting concourse and busses driving up to a stand with automatic doors, then reversing off would have been a much safer and improved environment for passengers. They could have incorporated a refreshment area then to help have staff around more often to make it feel safer.
But unfortunately, there's not the room for such a bus station, they could enter via dock road and the brook but there's not the room for a drive on reverse of, I get it's a terrible design. I have to put up with it quite a lot when travelling but it's the best they could do for such little room.
Great to see you in my home town great video dave keep up the great work 👍
