This video will show you how to use the spool loom to make a basic knitted cord. A basic steps in using the spool loom.
Will be using this cord to make more creations soon.

I have a much smaller one of these. Glad I kept this loom. I'm now a senior 71. I bought mine when I was in my 20's. I always kept things like this.

I use sari silk with this to make cords for necklaces

U could also buy it off the internet, I made mine with a wooden spoon (for thread) and added nails on top, 3 or 4 works best.

On WikiHow, they show that you have to make two rounds of wrapping each peg then pull the bottom loop over the upper loop, while in your video and another I've seen this method. Will both methods get the same end result or will there be slight differences?

Thanks for this tutorial. I have knitting knobbies in lots of sizes from the small ones up to a huge one with only 4 pegs. I use them a lot but have never made anything with them. Will we see any other tutorials where we make things?Will be thrilled beyond measure if there are.

What do people use the different sized cords for?
It works better if you put the hook in from the top of your yarn and lift it over the peg. Easy peezy results though.
What do I do to end it if I don’t want to close the opening? I want to make leg warmers for my daughters Barbie’s

Hey Bonny Adams, was trying to get the beginning. It's clockwise from the outside first to avoid a double in the beginning. Had to tell my mom the same thing. It goes down then up to the next one from the outside.
My mom kept doing it clockwise from inside and was upset until I actually took it from her and showed her. She was also unable to see the stem was different from the flowers. A work in progress. Don't give up. Pausing and going back is very helpful over here. Hope this helps.

Celestia a.k.a Nancy B. You could make pillow cases, either by knitting the "yarn tubes", or by weaving them. You could even knit a blanket with them. I,ve used thinner cords on baby shoes and hats.

Yes, you can just tie on a new yarn and make sure the tails are inside. Varigated also works well. I use both.
