Huge, huge, HUGE kudos to you Jim for taking on this project.... Not many people have the will, stamina, or talent to build a car, essentially from scratch.... Man, after watching this time-lapse, I'm surprised that Factory 55 doesn't make you smelt your own metals or lay your own fiberglass! No offense to F55, but gheezh that is a LOT of fabrication for a kit car...I guess that's why they call them kit cars. This is certainly no LEGO set; what an undertaking. Did you know what you were getting into? Only once you see it all done in 30min. of fast-forward video do you start to grasp the true scope of a project like this. Not to mention the additional effort of making a video diary for every step of the process... All this while running your own business in the background. I would think these type of kit cars are usually for retirees with lots of extra time on their hands! Glad to have been a (small) part of it... The end result came out great- hope you enjoy it for years to come!
Thanks. There is truth to waiting until you are retired and have the time. I knew it would be a big undertaking, but it was a little more than expected....
Love the dedication and commitment to excellence on this project my man and enjoyed checking in on the process. FANTASTIC summary video here and love the beats!! Fire up THE VAN! I'll be watching.
So I dont remember exactly when I subscribed and started following along but I am pretty sure it was end of 2020 sometime in 2021 super cool to see it all done. Thanks for the build that is awesome.
your old school Craftsman & newer Harbor Freight is exactly what I have. but nobody but you has that elementry school ruler. Always makes me smile when you break that out you gonna bother taking it to a dyno Jim? the power to weight ratio is crazy on your car
Yes, I work full time and spent every waking hour working on this. Thousands of hours. If you done something like this before, it will go under 2000 hours. If not, you will spend 2000 hours just in front of a computer researching ides, or how stuff works etc.... i.e. if I did a second one I could probably do it in under a year.

Someone suggested I put it in a plexiglass case when showing the car. LOL No dyno. It is about 450HP based on engine mods.
Great build! Awesome job, How long did it take to build? Months and weeks?
Without Pandemic - 3 years. If I did it again...1.5 years.
Curious rough hours? Or were you working full 40 ish hour weeks for the whole 3 years? Incredible build!
