I noticed that guinea pigs live to popcorn after there successful display of dominance, they like "oh yea im so awesome big boss"

Mine do it randomly. Like they'll just be walking, then popcorn a bit, then continue with whatever they're doing😂
My gf and I have 2 boars atm. and yeah sometimes after a dominance display. Sometimes after cage cleanings. Sometimes after a good nap and then food. Sometimes just out of the blue (atleast to us humans)... Less as they get older.
yeah exaaaactly😂😂 But is it a normal attitude for them? cause my girls are doing the same thing almost everyday but I wonder if its a kind of game for them too, neither a proof of being dominant

You can tell how safe the little brown one feels -- actually coming out into the open to lie down and rest. Probably thinking "I better hang out near the giant human in case vegetables suddenly appear".

Lukan27 more comfortable for them AND cheaper for the owner.. All you have to do is wash it instead of buying bedding. :) A lot of guinea pig owners use fleece.
Bianca Fernandez i should probably inform my friend about that actually. They have three guinea pigs and they only use bedding. It would probably save them a lot more money but idk if they'd be up for washing it haha. Still a good idea tho
FreosChae I just shake it out to get the poops off and then wash. Honestly I hate the mess of the bedding lol. But hey they might like it

As a owner of 5 guinea pigs I can say this would suuck to clean. But I would still get it for them because I absolutely love them all.

I agree, both about the cute & coziness of their surroundings & what Undefeated500 BBB said about the cleaning, after 4 guinea pigs, 2 bunnies, & 3 hamsters I can't imagine trying to keep that clean & odor free. Love your photo, btw, Potato God. Is that actually your cat or stock?

One of my guinea pigs loved stuffed animals. She would literally cuddle them and role around on them and then fell asleep cause they were so soft, it was adorable.

Happy campers! That was a high one. Laying out there like that at the end is a good sign too, no fear. These piggies are well cared for and it shows.
My 4 males will lay out to n the open two of them will come up to the cage to see what I'm doing people have a pair of male guinea pigs I have 4 I have two 7week Olds and a year old and almost a 2year old they have mats too and they sleep on blankets..... They are spoilt to the max.........I have two alpacas 1 Abby and 1 American
@@jenniferdontworry1349 I take in neglected pigs, not to foster but for life. Currently I have six. May I suggest placing a bell in their pen so they can call you? The form of the bell need only be that it is easy to move, and doesnt require to be pushed far to ring. When you place food, put it next to the bell and give it a little ring. Very soon they will see the pattern and call you for food or petting. Just be sure to arrive right when they ring it at first so they know what it means.All my pigs do it, and I only had to show one. All incoming rescues learned from watching the others. Here is the original bell ringer, Kirito-San, from many years ago.

I have two Guinea pigs, and I just got a new cage. They are both female, and one of them is popcorning like crazy! It makes me really happy when I see her popcorn😍

I miss having guinea pigs.Love their squeals and thurps. Some may think they are dull pets but theyre loaded with character.
I've seen more crazy popcorning from Guinea Pigs before. One way to motivate them even more is to give them compliments in an excited tone (like "GOOD JOB!") over and over again, preferable in a place where they have a lot of space to run fast around. Doesn't work on all Guinea Pigs, but some react positively to it and go even more crazy, which is really nice and cute

The bigger the space, the better the kicks. Mine have the whole home office, their own bedroom, and a 10'x10x covered grassy space outside. More kicks happier pigs.

Nothing like a nice clean cage to encourage crazy popcorning lol. I find my pigs will walk around the cage in circles for a good 10 mins after a cage change.
Mine popcorns while I'm cleaning & likes to get in the way too. Sometimes I'll clean other areas to make him go in the other direction, so I can clean elsewhere but sometimes he'll just stay still. Like jeeze, stinky, little dude, do you want me to clean or not? constant pooping, peeing machine.

Wow! I have this exact same set-up for my piggies! Lol except I have a really big pig hidey that my piggies take turns sleeping in, and 3 more tunnels, my piggy snowball LOVES to popcorn and jump in the fleece hidey like it's a jumping castle🤣🤣☺️best part of my day for sure💯❤️

My son had them piglets growing up and they ea.lived to be about 8 yrs but they never did such popcorn dance'es at all!! In the yrs .80 s-90's
My guinea pig was up on his hind legs to eat from the hay feeder and got so excited that he popcorned and fell right on his back!
(He is 4 months old at this point)

few days ago, I got 2 guinea pigs; 1 from a pet store n 1 from a family, but I did make sure both both are males... i also got a nice adequate size cage.. it took 1 hour for them to get along

One of my guinea did a much bigger popcorn than that before. he literally jumped about 25 cm high and 35 cm long! Another time, another one of my guinea pigs actually did a somersault when popcorning. okay, not really a somersault. it kind of looked like he was just rolling over in the air. so you can kind of just call it a side somersault. but still pretty cool

My guinea pig had so adorable popcorning ❤️ Once he got "mad" almost like this piggie did with his head shaking and jumping. Then he stopped, looked at me for a long time.. and suddenly he fell on his hip, then he turned on his stomach, looked at me again and acted like nothing hapoened.. just chillin', you know 😂😂❤️

@@thehamstergirl5575 Some guinea pigs can live on their own as single guinea pigs. Not every guinea pig is suited to living with other guinea pigs. I have seen many guinea pigs on TH-cam that live by themselves as single guinea pigs that are very happy living that way because they get all of the love and care and attention from their owners that a guinea pig could want and wish for. It is only recommended that guinea pigs live in pairs or groups, but it is not essential. Male guinea pigs seem to cope better living as single guinea pigs than what the female guinea pigs do.
