storm here, one of the contributors who helped make the map qol first off, i just want to say a huge thank you for appreciating the new update, it means alot as we put alot of effort into bringing this map more fitting for dw's atmosphere and lore, rather than having it just as a regular roblox crossroads with snow layered on top of it generally, it's been really fun hearing what people have to say about this update, and im glad that it was positively received by many i do have one gripe though, and that alot of criticism about the new workbench were really not great ones and it was all mostly just "this looks bad" which is fair enough but still not really great ones however some did have valid ones that were enough to warrant a revert to the original model, being that it didnt stand out much in the snow and the lighting, so players could potentially miss it (to those who liked the new workbench, i think you can still find it in the new lab as a guaranteed spawn, but im not even sure if it's guaranteed considering dw's code) to clarify, i did NOT make the new workbench, and i wont say who, as the possibility of harassment is quite likely considering how some people are just want to say though, this is NOT the big update, this is something small for the community to enjoy, we do hope you guys look forward towards the more bigger updates in the future until then, stay safe agents, and have a calm night (if you would like to ask any questions, i highly recommend you ping me in the dw discord, but i'll be checking youtube comments from time to time) (also this is a rewrite, my original comment strangely got deleted by youtube)
the new map kind of ruined showdowning: 1. safezone lure doesn't work because the turrets run out of ammo fighting raiders 2. *mountain top lure (behind the ship) is very scuffed because of an extremely congested space. doing it on the top itself guarantees death because of the snipers.* 3. *gallery lure doesn't work because raiders can enter the gallery through a hole present behind the raised part of terrain next to castle* 4. tower top lure is scuffed because (along with scavs spawning on the tower) punji traps can spawn on the bridge. also, SQ LOVES FLINGING!!!! (more on this below) 5. *mountain's behind lure doesn't work because scavs and raiders can easily reach your position using the concrete barricade present near it* also i think sledge queen's mechanics have slightly changed: 1. she is no longer guaranteed to automatically enter the parry stance after longshotting 2. after about 10 seconds, she automatically enters the parry stance, even while in direct melee combat. which causes her to either: (a) dropslide if you're too close, which messes up shove timing or (b) longshot jump, even if you're close to her (i think they shortened the distance at which she can do that). this is why you cant use any lure that has a cramped space, like tower, gallery and mountain's top ok, now onto general bugs: 1. gun viewmodels fling after sustained fire, sometimes at random (occurred in the Halloween update) 2. every single AI is stuck with the default white skin, including Shadow Hunters and Pipe scavs (occurred in the Halloween update) general gripes: 1. gun scavs have increased accuracy, which is a pain for any perk which relies on NOT taking damage (vagabond, executioner, crosslink, damned) *2. the darkness in the map, while adding to the ambience, also makes it near impossible to see snare traps, especially in outpost.* i know you aren't a developer, but please take these map suggestions in mind (marked in bold) and hopefully forward the rest of the issues to Zym and his team. thanks Storm.

But holy they messed up the melee gameplay. For me, the fasts scavs would fling so far and when they get stunned they just moved while stunned. Also the scavs like having 225% range hitbox now.

Only complaint about this update from me is the workbench. Why did they change it? The previous one was much more visually pleasing and interesting.
