      i've leveled all of the jobs (even blu even though not all the spells yet). my faves are: drk, smn, sge. my least faves are pld,blm,ast.
      drk: big sword, "goofy dark paritcles", best shield in the game
      smn: easy to use (now), lots of nuking with summons
      sge: doing damage heals, fast casting, somewhat easy to use
      pld: clunky for my taste, attacks seem slower than the others, lower atk damage imo
      blm: need to stay still do most damage
      ast: need to search for the right cards for most efficient damange output.
      others are fun from time to time XD

    Those are the easiest jobs, not the most played ones. If 2 of the 5 most played jobs were healers and one a tank the queue for stuff wouldnt be asking for healer and tank all the time.

    • @zanderswift6009
      @zanderswift6009 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      This is wrong actually, since queues need 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 DPS roles (x2 for trials/raids, excluding alliance raids). There are 4 tank jobs and 4 healer jobs respectively, however there are 11 DPS jobs (about to be 13 in dawntrail). So if you go based on how a duty queues up, it'd be 4:4:11(or 13) compared to 1:1:2. The number of DPS jobs is disproportionate to the number of tank/healer jobs, there's more overall DPS players but that doesn't mean there's more dragoons than warriors for example. SE adding two more DPS jobs sort of solidifies this point since it seems to point to there being more players on each individual tank/healer compared to DPS roles. If it was relatively balanced with the current ratio (queue times not taking 30+min), you'd expect there to be 25% tanks, 25% healers, and 50% DPS spread out through the playerbase. Now these numbers aren't exact but rather an estimation, I do agree it's probably DPS skewed but that won't matter for my next point. It's at least *close* to 25%/4 tanks, 25%/4 healers and 50%/11 DPS, making it around 6.25% of the playerbase for each tank/healer job, and 4.55% of the playerbase for each DPS job.
      Obviously this is just theory but now let's get into some real statistics.
      This is for the EW raid tier and only reflects raiding, but I feel like it's enough of a sample to drive home this point.

      You can see from scrolling down to the amount of parses with each job that the frontrunners are more often than not, tanks and healers. Few exceptions are like summoner, dancer and samurai hence their appearance on this video. No hate just trying to give some insight on this kind of thing. I do think it's interesting that SE is opting for more DPS jobs.

    • @maracaegrizzley8734
      @maracaegrizzley8734 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a bit more complicated than that. Look, there are 4 Tanking jobs, 4 Healing jobs, 3 Ranged DPS, and 3 Magic DPS. Those are the roles represented in this list. The roles with the lowest number of available jobs. All content requires *at least* one Tank and one Healer (high end raiding gets more complicated with Healers). So there are going to be a disproportionate number of players who play those roles. Especially since leveling at least one job in all roles has been "encouraged" through the use of bonus content to completing all role quests. The reason there are *two* Healers on the list is because High End Raiding requires *both* a Regen Healer (White Mage or Astrologian) AND a Shield Healer (Scholar or Sage), which is why the list includes one Regen Healer and one Shield Healer.
      The reason why Melee DPS isn't represented is both because of the pressure for both styles of Healing and because Melee DPS is the most over-represented role in terms of sheer number of jobs.
      My curiosity is what data, specifically, was used to compile this list and what the numbers look like further down from just the "top 5". Is it just "jobs that participate in clears of latest high end endgame content"? Is it "jobs that are leveled to 90 as per the latest census data"? My initial thought is that it's "high end clears", which is, itself, a bit misleading as to which jobs are the most enjoyable for people because people have been, are, and will continue to be pressured into playing jobs they might not enjoy as much to meet the needs of a "meta".

    Sage is a really well designed job, takes a lot of the button bloat out of healing, you don't have to cast as much as scholar, can fit into almost any group composition, the abundance of ogcds makes it feel tactical and mobile and instantaneous, without having to stand in the same spot spamming the same spell as much. Not surprised why its played more than the other healers, it's more fun to play unless you can find fun in the challenge or clunkiness in other healer jobs. Hopefully it stays like this in future expansions.

    The irony of this is that the easiest jobs are the most played and the hardest jobs are the least played and yet whenever they simplify jobs, people won't shut up about it being a detriment to the game despite the actual statistics show the exact opposite. So Im starting to think those people are nothing but a vocal minority when the actual stats say people much prefer easy jobs.

    • @dragenye1409
      @dragenye1409 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Easier jobs are popular but it is detrimental to your game if all jobs are easy.
      If you have easy jobs, you already gained the people that enjoy having an easier experience, you're not gaining more players by simplifying harder ones. Instead, you're losing the people that enjoy playing them.
      Games need both ends of the spectrum to make casuals and hardcore players happy. :)

    If the healer dies (what happened very often in 6.0 in the lvl 90 Doungens) then I can Heal still the other DDs so that at least two people are alive and can kill the boss.
    In the same scenario, as a warrior I could only hold myself alive and therefore it would only be one player against the boss left, which means the kill would take longer.

It got to the point where they hated playing with other healers so now every time we play together I’m stuck playing Healer because that’s the only way they’ll feel confident that they’ll have a good healer on the team but that’s just the experience we’ve had in our time playing the game we’ve even joked about how i should open a school for teaching healing in game lol.

      @@StingcatKnight this is the main/number 1 problem (ie skill issue) that stems from jobs that start at much later levels. People don’t realize how much the lower levels (albeit grindy at times) build solid job foundation / fundamentals . I see this across the board with various later level jobs.. Though it’s easier to skirt by with certain jobs (mainly DPS) and play poorly Vs a bad Tank or Healer. Very few of the skills have simple explanations, so trying to memeorize everything when it all looks the same and sounds like gibberish, I moved back to WHM. I WANT to play SGE because it looks super cool.
      I know people hate the grind, but I'd much rather the new classes started at a lower level. I'd say 30 as that's where the core classes first get their Soul Crystals, but I'd be fine with 50. Coming at this video a couple months late - but yes, the list is pretty accurate. Warrior is easy and fun. Dancer is easy and fun. Summoner is easy and fun. Those are all jobs I tend to revert to when I don't want to have to think too hard (and I got roped into tanking Savage on WAR this tier. Its a great off tank.) And then.... I play SCH as my main healer. They kept the core rotation identical to how it was in 5.0 so I chose not to jump on the Sage bandwagon and be a SCH again instead. While its true that the floor is higher than sage, I prefer the flexibility I get in not having to keep a monster targeted while doing my AOE rotation, so I can focus on the tank. It's a tiny mental thing in dungeons and doesn't matter in solo target content, but it was enough to make me choose the "harder" of the two jobs, in the end.

      A good white mage doesnt care about mana with lucid dream in use constantly when you get to even 6k mana.
      The skills that make a white mage's life easier are regen, assize, benediction & medica II for the regen effect.
      I like to use medica II because it has a cast timer & then regen on the tank, it takes the pressure off me to keep tge tank alive if the other team members need healing.

    OK, sooo, I main bard, and to me, its the easiest job in the game, so, it's always mind-boggling to me that so many people find it hard to play. I mained monk for a long time (as I played on and off from 1.0 beta), so, maybe compared to monk, anything looks easy. That said, a lot of what I didn't like with monk are non-issues with bard (ie: positional attacks, lack of freedom/ease of movement, a rigid rotation with little to no room for error, etc). After years of playing monk on and off, with lengthy breaks from the game in between, I finally returned to the game for good towards the end of Endwalker, and decided to really dig in to the other classes and bard really changed the game for me so much. I have a lot of anxiety, and so put a lot of pressure on myself to be flawless as a monk, but bard took so much of that stress away, and I feel much more relaxed and free, and it's actually fun, and what is a game if it isn't fun? TBH, all the ranged dps, aside from black mage, brough a lot of fun back to the game for me, but bard is my all time favorite at the moment (tho, I don't see that changing any time soon unless SE breaks the class).

    2:18 dark knight is easier, dark knight is 1.2.3 bloodwhetting, hit all ogcds in any order. warrior is actually easy to fuck up due to fell cleave reducing the timer of fell cleave so its easy to either waste an inner chaos outside raid buff coz people dont hold them, or overcap on rage due been on say 70 but needed to infuriate during buffs and wasting 20 energy or if you dont want to waste energy you waste infuriate ticking time which will cost you later on. And i play high content and usually parse 99 so it looks easy but isnt as easy to master as you think

      Both jobs are easy, but drk have to actualy think about when to use tbn and is a much busier job with much more ogcds. It's not even fair to compare them, WAR is the whm of the tanks and that's a good thing.

    Here’s the REASONS why your list is the way it is:
    White Mage because DPS players got bored and don’t care to understand how “HEALING” works.
    Warrior because Easy Mode.
    Sage Because New.
    Summoner because Pet.
    And Dancer because Catgurl memes and Bard is obsolete.
