I just came back from Uganda 🇺🇬 a few months ago after being away for more than 30 years. I was born in Uganda and there up to the age 16 years. I was visiting my maternal family in various parts of Uganda. I was blown away by the unlimited business opportunities in Uganda. But there is one ☝️ important point Amos mentioned and that is exposure. I always tell people that exposure is vital for the African youth. You do not necessarily need to travel outside Africa. You can travel within Africa and learn a lot.
@@JustMeVanessa of course. Either to Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 or Uganda 🇺🇬. Vanessa, I’m half Ivorian and half Ugandan but live and work in the USA as a Civil Engineer. There is a lot of business opportunities in both countries particularly Uganda because Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 is very much advanced in terms of infrastructure. As an experienced Civil Engineer, I’m trying to figure out how I can set up business in East Africa particularly in Uganda. Africa is no longer what it used to be. People in Ghana and have businesses in Kenya 🇰🇪 or Tanzania 🇹🇿. I know someone who lives in Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 and has businesses in Kenya 🇰🇪 and Dubai. Wish me luck
I'm in the US and this is so inspiring. Wekesa is so humble. I like how he passed the tests of purchasing land instead of expensive cars. All the while, he kept talking to God!
One thing I love about Amos is that he is not selfish. He will give a shout out to any business even those in direct competition with his businesses. A man after God's heart.
I love what gives him comfort, seeing any of his employees, internal or external working to get something for their families, he is just a free man, you can’t bring people like these down.
So inspiring. ‘I started with knowledge’. Wow. 1. Skills & knowledge: Aquire the skills and knowledge to add value to business. 2. Networks: create value through networks 3. Save and Invest wisely: Your company (friendships) should add value to you. 4. Lifestyle: Keep it simple. Appreciate your videos Wode Maya. Sending love from Australia. Thanks and God bless you and all these great people you feature.
Mr Amos you made me to hate more and more poverty, the rate I been hating poverty has rised 100 times and am to work and prayhard to never to be lacking a meal of the day
If someone asks me why do you watch wodemaya? I would simply say because wodemaya gives me a reason to learn everyday and smile at the same time! Congrats Maya for the hard work.
Hey, Mr. Maya. Am gladly happy that you came along and paid a visit to my country Uganda and I thank you for the great inspirational content. Am Ezra Katumwa, a great fun of your content and am hoping one day I’ll host you at our fiberglass production firm making mannequins and other products. Just to inspire and influence fellow youths out there somewhere as you do. Thanks for the inspirational content Mr. Maya. Much love from Uganda 🇺🇬 🇺🇬

Very inspiring story Mr. Wekesa. Always looking for stories like these, because the inspired me more and to be more determined to never look back at what I went through as a child growing in extreme poverty in Liberia, west Africa.i almost didn’t go to school. I was 11 years old when I started school but dropped out of school and the next time I sat in class again, I was 20 years old. Finally, entering 12 grade at age 25. With God on my side, I will never let my hands rest. Thanks so much Mr. Wekesa for inspiring me more. And thanks Wode for this interview. There is a God who cares. He will take care.

I have seen Amos for many years though he doesn't know me,I had a friend working for him and I used to go to his office nsambya estate then at kabalagala near American embassy,so Amos is telling areal true story about himself and business.
I think Amos deserves a special national recognition for paying his employees throughout the 2/3 years of COVID pandemic lockdown. That took a special human heart ❤ (against all business sense) to do 😊
"Your responsibility is different when you're breaking the chain of poverty in your family". Trevor Noah calls this "Black Tax". It becomes a responsibility for a parent to shield every child from this tax. Much love # WodeMaya#AmosWekesa.

I knew he would say mindset, said it the same time he said it. Thank you Wode Maya for this series you are doing in Uganda. It is revealing and Africans can instead of travelling to Europe or Asia come and see what Uganda and other African countries have to offer. In terms of tourism and lifestyle. Australia because of the different ecosystems available are able to properly exploit it. By as the resort owner said offering tours how to harvest/use the ecu… tree and charge $100.
I live on a little island in the Caribbean and agriculture and food processing in one of our big trading point..So imagine if we had the land mass like what it has on the continent..we have a huge processing industry..From carbon to food to garments..to natural gas.. Come on Africa..Get up..
