    Chris,
I agree with you, an oil pressure gauge would be nice. I have done some research and found a kit from Holland Norton Works. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing some details on your setup? I do have the braided oil lines installed feeding the rockers... Thank you....

Details of how I fitted the oil pressure gauge to my bike are to be found on the Facebook page that goes with my Restoration Manual. The group is: 'Norton Commando Restoration Manual Updates' You'll need to join the group to see the posts, then the info (with photos etc) is to be found in the 'Pinned post' at the top of the page, which also welcomes new members. 👍

Will you be re-torquing the head prior to starting? I ask because I will need to do mine and it’s something I’ve not done and would be interested to see it being done. It’s apparently a bit of a mishmash of bolt sizes I think…….

Yes, I've already done that. Video to follow soon. (I'm a few days ahead in real time) Hopefully you'll find it helpful - it's not the easiest of cylinder heads to torque down!!

You keep referring to the anti wet sump as a filter, it is an in-line check valve so people watching know what to purchase.

Yes, I continually get words muddled up - especially nouns (I'm sure you must have noticed!) For instance I call it an on-line valve rather than in-line! Maybe that was what distracted me from noticing the other error. I try to correct them whilst editing, but some slip through. Getting older. 😁😉

Yep… I can’t get my filter off. And, I’m using the same tool. I want to meet the tool that tightened it down that tight (and, probably didn’t lube the threads)!!! 😡

I can only commiserate with you. Good luck in getting the damned thing off!

@@Chris.rooke150 It was exactly like yours. I thought I was going to rip the body of the filter apart. It came off…🙃. Thanks for the videos. Very instructive.👨‍✈️
