Ben Baxter ohhh I feel stupid now that I saw it ! FF7 is my childhood I grew up with that game. This orchestra brought tears to my eyes several times, so did the opening music of Advent Children. I a child of FF7.

I was listening to this at night with headphones on and for some reason the emotion in the harmonies just hit me directly in the heart and I started crying. My wife woke up concerned and I told her it was just crying because the music was so beautiful.

This is one of the best live performances I've seen/heard of VG music. The dynamics an phrasing of the whole ensemble are amazing. It even trumps the actual CD's of live Final Fantasy music I've heard.
@@abelstypewriters 100%. You can tell there's been some real arrangement effort put into this. As well as catering it perfectly to the orchestra type and size. This mid-range orchestra (compared to Distant Worlds scale) made for a performance style we absolutely needed :)
I'm with you brother, I cried a lot with this, this orchestra brought a lot a great memories from my childhood and I would love to see this live!
Happens to me almost every month when I accidentally stumble on a sublime piece of music....nothing to worry about.

Okay, during the cello solo at around 11:10, second row, guy wipes tears from his eyes, girlfriend sitting besides him notices it and give him a small nudge before snuggling up to him.

FF VII was an amazing piece of art.
It had all of what we need...
A good story, beautiful music,... Investing time and passion into this was one of the best experience of my life ❤️
The story is not the strong point. Half the plot and characters are unnecessary and only exist to pad things out. But the other half of each are amazing. The strong point is in the relevant characters and the tragedy in the middle of the game, which was to video games what The Night Gwen Stacy Died was to comics.

Tbh the original was so good for me when I was young i missed the remake. I'll wait till its all done and out on a deal, on pc. Also I play it on turn based combat like I remember.

I have never heard the Shinra Corp theme played at an orchestral event. It was always one of my favorite themes due to his heavy, foreboding oppression that perfectly reflected Shinra. I am honestly overjoyed to see this on TH-cam, and offer gratitude to the uploader and performers.
*then Cosmo Canyon played and I nearly wept with joy*
You can FEEL the overwhelming evil from Shin-ra
I was there, in that crowd when that was filmed, and it was well worth the 35$ and 20min drive. Waiting for their full FF7 concert in November 2022 (delayed oh so many times due to covid).
This time, it will the good one (we already started rehearsing the symphony !)

@@garybodges3264 this is an orchestra based in Montreal, Canada, and about once, maybe twice a year they get a bus to go to Québec City to play there as well (and some other towns in the province). As this is a non-profit orchestra, most have a job, so it is quite unlikely for them to go to the UK.
There are other orchestra or band of that style around the world, so I would suggest you search for one closer to you !

I already beat it and with it ruby and omega weapon, had to max out materia and play through it twice the second time stopping at lvl 98

The principal cellist is amazing! She has beautiful sound and technique, which she expresses through her playing and she doesn't have static movements. I was highly impressed by the fact that there were only 2 cellos and the amount of sound they both made. Congratulations cellists and the amazing conductor, beautiful orchestra, and all the percussion were on point and I gotta talk about one of the flutes, the one that did the most solos is perfect too. The French horn, too was impressive from all. 👏👏👏- beginner cellist!
Excellent videography. No zoom ins, cut aways, angle to angle jumps and dash backs. Just the performers all in one frame. Fixed no messin. Excellent 👍 need more of this.

talk about a time capsule... This really makes me smile... Reminds me of the good times as a kid playing and explaining the game to my grandma about how cool cloud and summons were...Truly thankful for this game and its music! 33 years old and I'm looking at my playstation memory cards with all of ff7-8-9 data :) I'll always keep them!
If you close your eyes while listening, the cutscenes from the game and the movie just start playing in your head. I would have loved to watch them play live.

10:45 is in my opinion one of the best pieces of video game music. It always stirs up emotions for me. Partly because it reminds me of being a kid and how simple everything was back then. I wish I could go back. Especially to relive playing that game again for the first time again. Amazing job playing all the music though. It was really well done :)

This is amazing, shinra HQ with that loud, heavy drumming overpowering everything else, then the trumpets actually made me tear up. Kozmo Canyon was also amazing, such a nostalgic song and so much effort put in to make it sound amazing by this orchestra.

I watched this many months ago and said “wow, a solo cello during the main theme is absolutely beautiful...” then the remake comes out and what do I hear? A GODDAM BEAUTIFUL SOLO CELLO IN THE MAIN THEME. It’s like the devs saw this and took note ;)

The main theme is Cloud’s theme and really fits him so well. The ups and downs of it all. I love listening to this. Have been for over a year.

GOT Damn chills chills chills. This music is so damn cinematic ahead of it’s time just brilliant and it was composed to the limitations of PSX software.

Listening to the main theme for FFVII during quarantine in 2020 really gets the point of the melody across, it's quite the bittersweet composition really
