This is such a great video! I realised a few months back that the reason I didn't like/wear stuff I was making was because it felt amateur and didn't wash well; so I've been slowly experimenting with finishes like this to improve things. It's helpful to see them all laid out with the pros and cons.
Oh I'm so glad you found it helpful. 😊 Having things wash and last well is so important, right? Hopefully some of these can come in handy. Happy sewing!
Thank you for putting so much thought and care into this video. It's my first time seeing one of your viedos and it is useful and inspiring! I love your comparison chart overlays! I believe you can sharpen pinking shears by cutting folded aluminum foil - it seems to work for me :). Keep producing great content! New sub here!!
I also get a lot of joy and pride in making my own clothes. I found your channel while searching for new sewing channels. I'm Zelda and I have a sewing channel here called Zelda Sews. I really enjoyed seeing the six different finishes you showed! Very very helpful! Stop by my channel and say hi. Merry Christmas!❤
Wonderful tutorial! Thank you..
Really useful video. Your enthusiasm for bias bound seams is infectious and I'm feeling inspired to use fun bias binding on my next project!
Oh yay!🎉 Have fun and let me know how you like the result :)
Marie, I use bias binding, seam tape, zig zag stitch and overlock stitch to finish seams. I enjoyed this video. I just subscribed to your channel. 😊
I forgot to say, I subscribed!😅
Merry Christmas!❤

Thank you for those kind words, Kimberly ❤️ I'll definitely try the aluminium foil trick, fingers crossed!
Bravo, Marie. Very nice video and your explanation is very clear.
I feel nostalgic by the sound of my old sewing machine....

Contact gingher. They sharpen shears without asking for an arm or a leg!
Thanks for the tip! 😊
