One band that never had gimmicks, trendy clothes, big stage productions and all the other shit other bands need. They just turn up and rock the fuck out. I would hate to be the band thats on after this performance.
+ Rock and Roll I am a huge Helmet fan. I have some great news for real Helmet fans. Helmet has a new album out called (Dead To The World) and the release date of the new album will be in October. To Promote the new album Helmet will be on World Tour with the band Local H to promote the ( Dead To The World) new album. Go to Helmet's website and Facebook page to find out more information.
Tempesta's been the best drummer NEXT TO STANIER that has been involved with the Helmet moniker. I love this era (Size Matters) almost as much as the Aftertaste era. Almost. It's pretty damn good. Good era for vocal delivery from Page.
For Helmet sound Stanier is better but, as a drummer on all around Tempesta is a much more complete musician than Stainer. Tempesta can play thrash metal, industrial, hard rock and others with same flow, energy em precision.
helmet, clutch, fear factory,. many years ago, i thinks Detroit Harpo's or Ogora ballroom.i worked at AMC Jeep back then 1984! fuggin time flys by! I m 53 now, still love these bands!?
I see so many local bands now that have all this worthless production on their live shows, Amp modelers and backing tracks and cute metal outfits (none of those are bad by themselves btw), but I get really tired of it after a while. I love that Helmet is just dudes with amps playing riffs that are dirt simple but way more impactful because of it
yeah that's pretty typical of bands as they get older. if i remember right Rush tunes to something like C# for their live shows, just cuz Geddy can't hit those high notes like he could. that's the same tuning Sabbath was famous for using. knowing the dudes in Helmet are getting up there in age, it sounds like they might be tuning to drop-C or drop-C# even to compensate.
+EmaJack99 Stanier played so much better and his snare sounded way better... Actually the floor tom sounded better too... Could have been the backline though...

Back when the music spoke for itself...
“If you saw these guys walking down the street, you wouldn’t know they’re cool.” - Beavis and Butthead
I can't remember the exact lineup but if Fugazi would've came out next, then we'd have had an insane show my friend!
By the looks of that monster tama kit behind the boys, I'd say slayer was on at some point afterwards ahah
Thank you, Page Hamilton. You are responsible for all my rage!!!
One of my favorite band in the 90s. Gotdamn this is still awsome
Loved 'em back in '92, still loving them over 30 years later. They just freakin' ROCK!
That tone Jesus Christ I love it
I really like the live sound of this live performance. A lot of low tones (bass) in the rhythm section makes the guitars even more powerfull.
Bruh preach.
Tempesta is killing it on the drums. Great riff from the time when music was music.
He sounds great, but I can't FEEL him like I can when I hear Stanier play this.

the very definition of hard rock - HELMET!
Man, Tempesta nailed it. Note for note, identical to the studio version, by John Stanier. Respect.

Any idea what kind of guitar Chris Traynor is playing here?
Ya no hay conciertos vergas como este que descargues toda la adrenalina aquí en mi ciudad van puro banda de castrados 😥
El chirota carnal
John Tempesta has played with everyone.
Que público más apagado , ojalá hicieran conciertos en América Latina para que vean como se disfrutan de estás bandas

Doesn't sound like they're using the same tuning as the studio version? Pretty sure its lower tuning.

Its drop C, to make it short and sweet
I got milquetoast and see you dead from this show pls watch!
Why dont show Bass guitar player?😡
That’s Jeremy Chatelain. Sang for a band called Handsome that is SEVERELY underrated.
Criminal I tell ya...
Four people need to go back to their Shinedown albums and buzz off.
What the fuck is shinedown?
You are unqualified to speak on anything ever. Helmet invented nu-metal. They were doing that sound years before Korn.
@@briancook3923 helmet is definitely not nu metal
Who is this drummer?
John Tempesta

Kurt Cobain
They seem like such thoughtful Southern gentleman. But can anyone please tell me why they are screaming so much?
They are from NYC that's why lol
Rushed.
Literally zero close ups of the bass player. Guitars get multiples and the bass nothing. Fire the cameraman.
meh its not an easy song to sing to..
Didn't like the performance but I liked it anyway
