The fact the mother is not outraged by her child loosing her hard-earned money, is very telling.
So true! I didn't even think about that- good observation.

@@nettyspeaks gracias 🙄
@@nettyspeaks the amount of times I’ve seen people spell the word “lose” as “loose” is insane
What's the correct spelling?
People who steal from their children are a special type of evil.
People who do horrible things to children are the ultimate evil.
She didn't steal it, the bank did. Watch part 3

every black parent who was “holding” money for their children. my mom included

After almost 42 years, I can safely say that the moment someone says they don’t remember doing something that a sane, rational person would remember, they are either one of two things, a liar or an addict. It’s sad when it’s someone who is a loved one.
Orrrr disabled ! Less common im sure. But if they’re saying they don’t remember and it’s nothing malicious it could be that
Or sucks at managing her money.
That’s not my experience. Some people I know including a few relatives suffer from CRS disease (Can’t Remember $#It ) and they forget basic things. You can tell them something and 10 minutes later they will ask you a question about it like you never said anything. I avoid asking them to do anything for me whenever possible or I know I have to stay on them about it.

Anyone who has an addict in their life can tell the mom is one and probably did exactly what the daughter thinks.
I agree, my incubator did the exact same thing to me.
don't even know an addict but yet it was my first thought

Mom totally did it.
Old episode she didn’t
@@clatese I haven’t seen the third episode, but assuming Jj ruled in favor of the mom. It doesn’t mean she didn’t.
@@clatese Who did???
@@LG-rw6zf she just didn't have the evidence to prove it from what I remember. I totally believe she did take it as well.
@@erinnicole3170 You remember correctly!
That poor girl... working since her teens, being responsible and saving her money; and all this time she thought she had some money to pull out when she was ready to build her adult life, and it's gone! And the amount of work she put into getting answers. She's clearly very smart and motivated.
I applaud that young lady. She did everything humanly possible to get answers. She is the prime example of what a plaintiff should be
Thank you!
As soon as she said “I don’t remember”, absolutely guilty. How do you not remember that 🤔
"But if I did do it she told me to" ...guilty
“I don’t remember” known as the Hilary Clinton defense.
I would remember closing an account that was my child's account. The mom is a complete liar. She does not deny it...she claims she does not remember doing it. Closing an account is something I always remember.
How many accounts do u have to have to start forgetting when 1 is closed, yea she's guilty 😂
I don't think it's something a mother would forget, maybe a father but not the mother 🤔
@@trinity72gpneither
Right?!
@@NOCALGooN916right!? She has 150 accounts so she doesn’t remember what closed when?
A mother would remember taking a large amount of money out of the bank for her daughter. SHE IS LYING!
This girl ain’t playin ! She’s really smart! Must have raised herself! Her mother stole her money !
100% that woman closed the account
and took the money
As soon as the mother started talking all I heard was the narcissist prayer:”I didn’t do that and if I did it’s cause you told me to” immediately putting it on the other person I think it actually goes “I didn’t do that if I did I didn’t mean it, if I meant it you deserved it” or something like that
16 years old and already thinking about a CD? Damn. When I was 16 I just wanted a boyfriend.
😂😂😂😂

I wanted a car lmao 🤣
My guilty pleasure is watching Judge Judy on my lunch break 😂
Me too , everyone knows it as well 😂
During work for me!! Joys of working from home lol
I watch omw home from work everyday. 😊
I watch it while I work from home and when I’m in the office I listen to the cases on my headphones. Lol
Fantastic choice 👏
My mother stole thousands from me even took her to court.I can't fathom how a parent can do this to a child.
Mom doesn’t seem trustworthy
I agree
Verbally eloquent and organized plaintiff...rare to see them in her court shows among the young ones
Which one is more likely, bank frauding a customer or mom taking her kids money?
Let that sink in
My mother did this to me. I believe the daughter.
Its 50/50. Banks do this all the time
@@raimeyewens7518 Me too.
Yeah, I'd go with the latter lol. More likely that it's the mother.
My dad closed my bank account and took all the money. Also took money out of a wallet I left at his house, the realization when I found my wallet, empty. Fun times. I was probably 7 or 8. 🤪
And mom stole my car. Traded it in, and removed my name from the new one. 🤪
She let her daughter do all of that. Knowing she took the money out. She didn’t care if she embarrassed her own child. The news! Even the freaking news she contacted and the mother didn’t feel the need to come clean? Disgraceful. SMH
I don’t understand how people can be so evil to steal hard-worked money from their child
Simple, she wanted the money or took it to control her daughter. My mother is exactly like this.
My foster parents stole all the money I worked hard for and my social worker wouldn't get it back nor the thousands of dollars of equipment I bought for my job because she said that my foster parents wanted them as payment for living in their house. And my bio mom mom stole my money because she didn't want me and my daughter to leave
@@stepheniemcgovern5742 im so sorry that happened to you i hope you’re doing better now
@@december017 it's part of being in foster care and having a crazy parent
I do. It happened to me. My parents even stole my first car out from under me with the help of their notary friend.
it's very convenient that her mother doesn't remember doing anything with the account considering she was the only other person who could take money out of it
How do you not remember if you took money out of an account or closed an account? Unless she has a medical condition that makes her forget things...That should be the next line of questioning from JJ...And how much money are we taking here?
Having a memory that bad can't only be because of a medical condition otherwise I'm screwed.
This daughter has her shit together. I bet she's out there ballin these days.
Idk bout ballin, just workin hard and makin a livin 😅
The mom definitely did it.. ugh but no proof
She doesn’t remember? Ma’am. You would remember closing someone’s account. You did it.
Can't trust no one these days. Not even family 😞
Her Mother DOES remember she was hoping that her daughter would forget about it.
Uh yeah, I’d be disowning my parent(s) if they EVER stole MY money.
If I was the mom I would just admit to my daughter that I took it and repay her back. How could you steal from your own child. If it was a bank fraud and the mom is the legal owner of the account why isnt she putting in the same effort of her daughter to find out what happened to the monies in the account. Seems the bank would disclose to the legal account holder.
Her monies would have been safer in her draw. They convinced her it would have been safer in the bank 😂
No because you would've never taken the money to begin with. Lol People that steal rarely admit doing it even when they're caught red-handed. The mom had no intention of ever paying her back. Poor girl jumping through hoops trying to locate all her hard earned money and her mom standing there acting dumb..smh
Addicts don’t care, their families always suffer
Drugs probably
The account was closed 7 years before! That daughter thought her money was growing, compounding interest the whole time! Mom owes her a lot more than her deposit!
a mother who would admit to stealing a kids' money wouldn't have done it in the first place. i relate to this woman and i feel for her.
i don't understand a mother can rationalize it but i know from first-hand experience that a mother like this can and does.
I really feel for this girl. I couldn’t get a bank account until I was 18 because I knew my parents would steal the money if I was a minor. A lot of parents are like this, it’s heartbreaking.
And some people say you shouldn't sue family
Oh wow, it's so sad when a daughter can't trust her own mother, and yea, I'm a recovering heroin addict and it seems to me that the mom is an addict and that's what happened to the money!!! So sad!!! I love y'all my JJ family!!!!
Congratulations on your recovery! 🎉 That is a SUPER BIG DEAL and worth celebrating EVERY DAY you walk in victory! 🙏🏾💜🙏🏾
1:05 Mom got that guilty face!
Props to the plaintiff for starting a CD at 16 years old! At 16 years old my mind was not even on financials; it was on just trying not to get shot going home because I lived in the projects. But when i did get my sht together and got my CDs with automatic renewal with ING and Capital One brought them I was notified by email and in writing. So where did those notifications go that was supposed to be sent to the plaintiff? Also if the mom was shady and took the money and used it on the daughter for things the daughter asked for without telling her where the money was coming from well there goes the relationship
"I didn't do it but if I did do it" hmm 🤔😂
I couldn’t imagine taking my kids money! I’m so proud of my daughter for being able to save money for years, it took me so many years just to learn how to do that lol.
My dad was different. He didn't steal my childhood savings. He just said he is taking that money to pay off his debts. I was 16 that time and living with my parents. I was extremely sad as it was my hard earned money. But, as a good child, I understood his situation and gave all my savings. In return, he gave me a huge sum of money on my wedding.❤❤
That's still a bit sad, was good of him to give you some money on your wedding, can't say much for my dad, unfortunately never cared about being in our lives, his name isn't even on the birth certificates, im 35 and still don't see him and he never paid a single cent of child support ever, greatful to have a good mum though
@@Joanne152with my siblings since I’m the oldest. I would ask them for $10 and pay them back $20 lol
My cousin's dad did this to him and kicked him out at 16. So, not only was he under age but his savings were stolen and his credit was ruined. I lost any respect i had left for that man... aggravating !
Surprised that the morality police who blamed children for bringing their parents to court are not in the comments section here 😂😂😂
Sad when you can’t trust your own parent
I work at a financial institution and it is disgusting and heartbreaking when I see parents ruin their children’s financial futures.
Any respectable financial institution would at least have records of signed receipts going back decades.
This case was like re-living my childhood..
I’m so sorry. I know what it is like to have a mom you can’t trust. Blessings to everyone out there whose family stole from them.
Same. My mother did something similar to me.
Ditto
💯 truth, I’m sure JJ feels that the mother more than likely stole the money but there was no substantial proof therefore a ruling could not be determined. I feel for this girl
3:28 it says “perhaps I did get the money out for her, at the time there was a lot going on in all your lives…” a lot going on could be mom having financial problem…
Temptation is everywhere 🤑
LUNCH CREW 🥪 I should be working, but I’m on the john watching Judge Judy instead! 🚽
The husband looks way too old for the plaintiff.
She ( the daughter) seems like a sweet person. Unfortunate she had to deal with this.
The daughter articulates clearly..... pleasant to hear and see...mother is full of it👁️👁️👁️🤐
The judge should try calculating how much she would had if someone didn't shut it down so early 🤣 bet the mom would had a shock face.
You can tell right away she was lying the moment she was asked the first question. She switches to "I don't know" but the first thing she says is that if she did "it was because she told me to". HUGE red flag that she's trying to twist the narrative and flips the moment she realizes that that wasn't going to work. Why would her daughter ask her to close it right after opening it? It wasn't closed years later, she remembered the money was in there, and pocketed it behind her daughter's back thinking she would forget about it.
Can't even trust your family. Mama is definitely on that shit.
I had a friend who was newly married and wanted to buy a house. When the couple checked their credit reports, they found out her parents had opened multiple accounts and credit cards under their child's social security number.
Same. Had a friend who was bankrupt before she even graduated because her mom took loan under her name and spend all the money.
That Mom stole her daughters money shameful
It's so weird to me.. you can work, but you can't have your own account??
How do you not remember closing an account? 🙄 Especially one with that much money in it.... we're talking about at least $1200 here.
I was in a work study program in highschool making $4.25/hr and I had an account at 16 my mother had to be added because I was a minor. I saved $1,500 towards a vehicle in 1996 but when I found a used car there was only $1,000 in my accound. My mother had bought a couch and I didn't ask any questions. After she stole $500 she told me she wanted $250/mo rent. I left.
Why have enemies when you have a mom like her....
I'm from ST JUDGE judy I watch your programme every day u know how to silence the guilty party
The daughter remembers that she did not take the money out. And judge Judy knows it, too.
Whenever anyone says "I don't remember if I did it or not", they did it.
That slight looking to the left when she said she doesn’t remember tells me everything I need to know.
My mother did this to my brother. He moved out to get away from her she went to the bank and closed his account, and kept the money.
I dont remember if I did.
SHE REMEMBERS.
"i don't remember" "i don't remember" .. lady, the heck you got pregnant and raise a child for?
Imagine defrauding your own child, how sick that is! This is your child, your baby, and you robbed her? Disgusting mother! Must be on drugs.
Mom knows and so does her daughter. Fess up mom.
I’m shocked that a mother would interfere in her child’s progress in doing well!!! 😳 😡
So she's drunk or as Judge Mathis would say "she has crackhead tendencies." How does she not remember
Stop saying "whenever".
"whenever my husband and I were getting married". It is grammatically incorrect.
Awwww hard working young lady.
Surely the bank has a record of who signed to close the account. Mama looks very guilty. It's convenient that she doesn't remember.
How do you NOT remember closing a Bank account, that's not like easy to forget?!! They literally hold you hostage before they let you leave?!!😂
So fake! There is always a name associated with the account and you have to show ID to close/open accounts.
Ironic that the money was actually safer under the bed, isn't it?
Good for her for holding her mom accountable
The mother totally stole the money
Officer Bird. Right on time
These are tough to watch. It's a parents' job to raise their children that they CHOSE to have until 18 and then help them when and if you can. Not to steal from their child. Give them the tools to work their way up and be a decent human being.
Poor thing! she was so proud when she said she went to the bank
This happened to me. My dad told me they had a college fund for me. Back in 2005, my dad quit his job and was unemployed for 10 months. They had to use my college fund to pay the bills. Now if I ask about it, my dad says it never existed.
My mom was like that growing up. I never put my money in a bank and instead I hid it in my room because my mom would frequently go in my room while I was at school and steal my money. Whenever I would ask her about it, she would always say "You're a minor, it's not your money." Needless to say, I never talked to her after I moved out.
My mom steals money from me then act all innocent and try to shift the blame on someone else yet money has only gone missing when she’s around. It really bothers me as I am Bipolar so I know I have my moments but I am very good with money as i grew up in poverty so having my finances in check is very important to me. Two weeks ago she linked my debit card to her Cashapp transferred $50 then once I noticed it was missing I called the bank but she still tried to act like it wasn’t her then had the nerve to ask to borrow $100 dollars the next day.
Get Mom on Steve Wilkos for a lie detector test
God it is the same every time. they should Just say " Your Honor I have since come UP with a Better Lie, I would Like to Use this Lie Now. Thank You"
Money in a tin can is safer
I'm wondering if this is the same woman who just got married, was going to buy my old home, but had to back out because her mother stole her money!! Same situation here, wow, it makes me wonder how many kids this happens to.
Omg. I'd be bawling if I couldn't buy a home because my money was stolen.
mum and daughter went to bank to get the answer of the HUGE $1200 CD, but bank did not give a satisfy answer, I am 100% sure it is bank's mistake.
It's obvious this mother has never been held accountable for ANYTHING!!!
Don't they have cameras in all banks the bank should of looked more into this.
Should have kept the money in hiding never trust anyone when it comes to sex drugs and money 😎😄
Imagine having a Mom steal from you.
How could her own mother betray her like that? What karma that broad has coming to her.
My mom did the same thing to me. All the money I saved from my childhood. Christmas money etc, And she stole it all.
When I was a kid I made money mowing my neighbors’ lawns. I put the money in a jar in a kitchen cupboard. NO ONE ever took a dime out of that jar. Not my older sister, younger brother, mom or dad. I could trust them.
How can you not remember whether or not you closed an account (barring some form of amnesia or early onset dementia)?

Really you can’t remember?
How can you not remember?? Its terrible !
Poor young woman, checked all those places but it was her mom all along
How do you NOT remember closing an account? Seriously? As Judy says all the time, "If it doesn't make sense then it's probably not true".
