"A Busy Oxford" But I had a problem. 21/06/24

- The freight was very good for the two hours I was there but I was also busy moving about to get different shots of the freight coming through the station.
You will see in the video the problem I had, and I was was pleased it only happened the once.
Very good mate enjoyed and liked the maintenance train from Long Marston

Ah, Banbury, where I was born!
I could hardly recognise Oxford station, though. I used to take the train there from Bicester Town when I started college during my engineering apprenticeship. (All the inter-city trains were pulled by class 47s! (I'm showing my age, now!))
Well for me they were better years to do this hobby, the only better part to these days is the camera quality.

Excellent video Mike!! Some great catches you got there awesome sounds from 66713, the FL 70 and the 68 as expected from them! Some excellent shots from different vantages around the station there! Nice catch of the MMT and it was a shame about the camera issue but still was a great video!
Yes it was a great morning, but a busy one and it was getting very warm, I was pleased the cam only played up just once, I just don't know why it did.

Looks like you had a cracking time at Oxford. 70 at the end sounded great. Shame about the technical issue but at least it only happened for that one shot
Yes it was good that the cam problem only happened the one time, thought I was going home early.

Brilliant video mike funny enough theres a chap work's at Howes model's oxford he's called mike he was a driver on the NBL baby warships his base was Oxford ,he deals with second hand railways,

Yes posh flats I think Colin, I enjoyed my time there very much apart from the cam fault which wasn't the lens cap.

Mike I film mainly in automatic on all my cameras in clear sky's with cloud like this week when I film the Kingsbury tanks and the Tesco train ie 4E49 same the blue waggon are in shot the sky bleached out ie highlights if you get a gap between containers it returns normal until the next batch of containers This happens when filming head on I've noticed a shot at a 90 degree angle seems fine but doesn't give you the best type of shot If you have any ideas I'd be really geartful

Steve I know what you are getting at as it happens to me, like you I go for the easy life and film on automatic, when the sky is brighter than the train try zooming onto the subject a bit more.
