Thank you and welcome! ^.^
I agree with you regarding immortality- living forever sounds really exhausting as well!
Yeah. Everyone seems exhausted enough after one lifetime.
I loved the video and that bat story was hilarious! I also love Christmas!
I know. Sometimes, I can't even believe it really happened. That bat was watching over me that night. Maybe it was irritated too by the extremely high level of self-righteousness displayed by said person and it was trying to get her to shut up. It worked! lol.
Yeah. Christmas, for me, is such a magical time of year. Giving to people I love and putting smiles on their faces, receiving gifts, all the beautiful decorations everywhere, amazing smells, good food, and the weather is lovely (even here, where it doesn't snow, but sometimes we'll head to areas not far from here where it is all covered in snow and it makes it even more magical.
think in reality vampires would not have human emotions, they probably cant see /feel beyond the hunger. imo modern vampires are too anthropromorphic, they arent really alien enough. also unlikely their bodies would still produce hormones or steroids etc
Well, since it's fiction, it's all open to interpretation, but here's my take on all of that. If they were real, I think they would all respond to being a vampire in a different way. Since they are intelligent beings, they would all be individuals, just as we are, and would therefore have their own individual attitudes and approaches to various things.
To me, blood would be to them as food is to us. I don't see why they would all be obsessed with blood 100% of the time. I imagine some would, just as some people are obsessed with eating all the time, but most, I figure, would only eat when they are hungry and others would hold of as long as they could before feeding.. With that being said, to me, the only ones who would obsess about blood would be those who deprive themselves too much and those who are gluttons.
Honestly, when I watch a movie or show, or read a book, in which they are out of control and have to drink blood constantly, it annoys me a little because it has no resemblance to how pretty much any other creature feeds, aside from massive creatures who feed on tiny creatures, such as the blue whale who filters plankton out of the water as it swims so it is constantly eating in order to maintain its size. I am sure that there are other exceptions, but as humans, we would be the most physically similar to a vampire, so I would imagine their eating frequency would be similar to ours.
As for emotions, I feel like they would all be different. Some would probably have gone mad after losing everyone they care about over and over again and would be either like a rabid monster or would just lay in the dark waiting to die. Others would be so wise and filled with life experiences and strength from enduring so much that they would be enlightened beings. Then, just like with humans, some would be sadistic and would be serial killers. Over time, some would possibly learn to shut off their feelings as a defense mechanism to avoid further suffering that they have already endured so much of over the lifetimes they have dwelled on Earth, but I think others would possibly feel a lot more than humans do. It's just like with elderly people. Some of them are really bitter from all that they have been through and others are really positive and kind.
I feel that vampires in a lot of modern shows and films are too similar to young humans. I feel that they would be far more similar to very old humans. As for hormones, etc., the idea of a vampire in the first place is scientifically impossible, unless you simplify the condition more and call it Porphyria, which is the closest thing you'll ever get to it in reality, so the fact that they would be able to function in any way as a dead person is impossible in and of itself. This makes it hard to say what it would and wouldn't be able to do in a fictional universe in which it is a possibility. I say if it is a possibility for it to move, to think, etc., then why not everything else too, but it is open to interpretation, so anything is possible.
If you made it through all of that, thanks for reading. lol. If you can't tell already, this is an area of interest for me. ^.^
I actually like the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. Yes, I'm pretty basic but I love them.
I tried Pumpkin Spice hot chocolate and I wanted to puke. It was good the first few sips I took but I got so sick of it. It was just way to sweet for me. Pumpkin Spice and chocolate don't mix well in my opinion. But at least I tried it.
