Tempus fugit right enough. Time and tide wait for no man. Do what you can while you can wihin the limits of your income or savings. I retired from further education lecturing at 58. I'll admit to feeling a lot lost for the first year or so so but after that I haven't looked back. Hobbies (such as hiking and vlogging like you) plus art and entertaining grandchildren take up a lot of my time. But here in Scotland ,UK we are really fortunate that having a passport is the key to easy foreign travel since Europe is as little as an hour's flight away, although to be honest I would rather take the train down through England (abroad already, lol!) and take a ferry across the English channel to France. A cruise (we love those!) can take us from Scotland to Scandinavia and Iceland, or from London, Southampton or elsewhere to the Mediterranean countries. You're right that travel has many benefits! Happy travels to you Mary!
Thanks Mary! We hope to start traveling again once things get settled at home. If we need to postpone retirement a bit, I can use my leave for some trips. So, what is your other passion? 😊 -Anthony
LOL... I have many... the hubby of course... and my favorite baseball team... but I try to be neutral as a vlogger as much as possible so I won't reveal what team... but it might be obvious in some of my future posts. And yes, travel!!! Good deals these coming weeks too.,. 12/3 is supposed to be like a Black Friday for the travel industry!
@@christineestacion3885 I didn’t want this to be more than it was and to go into too much detail on this first one. But in short, group trips should be vetted with a lot of research bc many of them rush through things so much that the travelers get frustrated and feel like they miss too much stuff bc of the schedule. Very little flexibility which is why I don’t generally go with them. That said, it would be a good way to get a quick look at a place and then dig into it on your own the next time. Problem is most people don’t have the resources for a ‘next time’.
