S-Tier Combat with F-Tier Progression System and Monetization, just like the rest of KR Games. LOA is my first korean f2p mmo and my last, not gonna do this again in a new game. After u get used to the brilliant combat you see the real face of these games

The combat looks so good in Lost Ark. I was hoping it would eventually come to consoles so I could finally play it on PS5 but it doesn't seem like that will happen so that's a shame.
Lost Ark has one of, if not the best combat (except back attacking on random aggro bosses). Everything else (raids, story, world, MMO social aspect) feels ok. And monetization/progression is bad. Overall prob an A tier or lower MMO.
Yea, the combat is S tier, even the raids are S tier. Progression is 100% F tier. If they had hard resets and buffed old systems (like cards, tripods, quality tapping etc.) and made the game new player friendly, LA would easily be in the top 3. Such a good game but a couple of terrible systems make people not want to play it. Shame.
I agree, I wish they just had WoW's sub monetization would have become the best for me. But the grind is just insane, the fact they need these express events to actually push free players instead of reworking how their progression works says much.
The world is also very shitty, every mob gets 1 shotted and anything that isnt raids is extremely boring and tedious to do. Except pvp and they abandon it since release...
my opinion why lost ark is not an S tier is simply while Combat and Raids are really high up there, there is literally nothing else to do in this game, even for horizontal enjoyer like myself once you done with it you done there is nothing and even while farming that kind of stuff it is pretty much all the same and to be honest I am one of those few that actually enjoyed the lore of lost ark as well but the more I kept going into it the more I hate how it is shown in the game itselff. The overall lore is really good and there are tons of really S tier stories in the game beside the main one as well but fact is 90% of all rapport stories are so bad nobody wants to do all of them to find those 10% that are actually S tier same with Music Boxes those stories could be absolutely easily S tier but having to do part of a story and then waiting a whole day to read few more lines and then wait another actual day just makes it more of an una task than actual enjoyable lore. Also while it is nice having all those Islands covering different themes a lot of them just feel extremely random and sometimes just out of place and once you done with the island soul or some quest you just never go there again cuz why should you. Lost Ark is one of those games that could be S tier if they would have actual content besides raid because there quite literally is just nothing else besides them

Its the best game ever made for me by far. I cannot play other games now without thinking about Lost Ark.
