  • How safe is China compared to The USA?
Is it safe to visit China today in 2024?
China is incredibly safe, you can't imagine what it's really like here.
It's not what you hear in the news and on TIKTOK..............
It is totally different than what you're being told!
China is possibly the safest place in the world,,,,
Can you believe they can have festivals like this with ZERO security?
No one is acting like an idiot, there are no fights, no drunken morons running around....
You're not constantly worried about getting shot.....
Check this place out can I wish we had something like this in Canada
    • CHINA VS NORTH AMERICA...
Also it's not as censored as you think!

As always a great video. But the most funny part by far is when you said in the beginning there is absolutly zero security and in the same moment we see police in the video in the background sitting on their bikes controlling and observing. :D hahaha
Dont forget that they have a social-credit-system and 1 camera per 2 ppl in the country and if you dont behave like the goverment want you can not even drive with puplic transport and sutch.. so yea many countries and ppl in these countries would behave different if they have something like that... but still. Personally not a big fan of that. :) But for a visit, for some time as a holiday yea.. thats nice. Happy to hear you had fun.

      @whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Those are not police or security they are traffic directors who helps oth the flow of the bikes and little buses...
Yes some cities here have The Social Credit system, but Nanjing is not one of them
That's being said yes there are cameras all over the place...
      This reduces crime exponentially.....
That's a proven fact... That I will happily love of it means that me and my loved ones are safe and don't have to fears that other people love won't on the daily in a lot of western cities....
I will disagree with you on the reason why people behave the way they do..... Some people just know how to behave and some don't...
Again I love it and it is a major reason why I own a home here in China...
      I feel safe.....

@@whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean I've lived there. Before Xi China was on a great path. Worked for an international investment firm while there still do. Pulled out last year after we questioned the CCP's unemployment and projected growth rates. Then we got a harrowing visit from the CCP's security goons. Closed offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong and consolidated in Tokyo where we won't be threatened for telling our clients the truth. Be careful how much you invest in China. Another major real estate developer is about to hit the skids. China is the past. It will take time but the future is India and South America.

Sorry but there isn't any free speech or press in in China. China was thriving when they allowed questioning of economic policies which spurred investment. That's over under Xi. Loyalty to CCP is prized over truth. Investment has dropped and innovation has suffered. China is no longer going to be able to dump products below cost of production overseas anymore. They are an export economy as they don't have the domestic wealth to absorb their over industrial capacity. The pandemic changed everything including China and in China's case not for the better.

    • @whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean
      @whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

Hi Micheal I can comment on anything that I want to.
I'm not politically oppressed when I'm in China I hate to say that but I'm just not...
In fact there's a lot of things here in China that I actually agree with......
Being someone who has traveled to many different countries and experienced a vast array of different political systems......
At the moment from what I've been able to see in my 12+ years of coming to China, my eight plus years of owning my own home here.....
I really don't have a lot to criticize the government for I'm sorry....
I'm not sure if people want me to talk about the Uyghur people....
Or if they're just hoping that I will say that Tiananmen Square was a massacre......
Or am I supposed to blame China for covid????
So if you would like I will answer those here in print so that the CCP can have a copy of them I will also do it in the video.
As far as what is happening in North Western China with the Uyghur people......
I do not know nor do you or anybody else other than the government and the people in that region....
We can be told this and we can be told that by Western media.....
      But does anybody truly know.
I know this much over the years there have been clashes with the Muslims in this region.
There is no question there has been some pretty crazy extremism there's been some attacks there's been slaughter of the non Muslim people in this region.....
This I know for a fact because you can Google search it it will show up on Chinese media as well as foreign media sites as well....
I personally have never been to this region I have been somewhat close to it but not rate in the actual region itself and I will never go there...... Ever!
While I was close to the region in a city called Kunming there was an attack at the train station and I believe 29 innocent people were slaughtered by the Muslims for no reason at all.....
They were butchered with swords ...
Thankfully for me I was at the airport and not the train station....
Yes I was actually in the city that day.....
Can you imagine what would happen in the United States if Muslims went and slaughtered 29 Americans.......
      🤔
Now let's talk about what happened at Tiananmen Square Square.....no question at all what happened there was a massacre....
How many people were indiscriminately killed I'm not sure there are some reports that it was hundreds there are some reports that it was thousands....
again no one truly knows all I can say is that yes sadly enough Tiananmen Square was a massacre....
Now keep in mind that the current government had nothing to do with Tiananmen Square....
Tiananmen Square was 35 years ago that's a complete adulthood for me I graduated in 1989.....
The world has changed dramatically since 1989...
The Chinese Communist party has changed and grown exponentially since 1989...
I would say that the one real knock about it is they're not teaching it in the schools so that people know about it....
Unlike Germany where they do teach the Holocaust and everything in the schools so that it's not repeated China does not do that....
Kind of like how the United States likes to completely ignore slavery when it comes to education or how 99% of the people outraged over Tiananmen Square have no idea about the Kent State massacre which actually happened in my lifetime..... and......
      But let's not go there....
Can we blame China for covid?
Good luck figuring that one out.....
We can be told again that it originated in Wuhan by the same token there were a couple of cases in California even prior to 2019 there was also a US military delegation that went to Wuhan at that exact time...
      So who knows.....
you also have the fact that you know that a lot of these viruses and stuff do get caused by people eating wild animals they also can get created in a lab....
A lab apparently that the US government was funding....
US interests were for one reason or another funding that lab so who's to blame????
      You tell me....
      Because I don't know...
I know what the US government and the US News is telling me...
But can we honestly believe the news anymore.... Let alone the US government?
If we want to talk about Tibet.....
I sadly enough do not know enough about Tibet and what has happened there to have an informed and educated conversation about it but I can tell you this much the province of Quebec has several times tried to secede from Canada and Canada will not let it go....
To the point that we've had bombings and violence about it they've had referendums etc etc...
Canada will not let Quebec go....
I think there's a lot of people in the world that assume they have many more rights than they actually have
I challenge a lot of the people that go on about freedoms and rights I challenge them, have they actually read the articles that they quote and misquote all of the time????
Have they read the Charter our rights and freedoms...
Have they read the Bill of Rights?
Do they honestly completely understand the legal interpretation of their so-called Rights and freedoms.......
      Food for thought...
Cheers Michael always a pleasure debating with you bro...
      Have a blessed day.....

Thanx for your reply; I very much appreciate your perspective . I know lot of Chinese people living in the USA who feel that western democracies provide more freedom and human rights than the one party regime.
But I have never been there so I need to go and explore for myself. I totally agree that media can influence us and everything can be looked at from multiple perspectives. Since you live in China for part of your life you can compare the life there vs Thailand vs Canada vs Cuba etc.
Ultimately no matter where we are there are both positives and negatives everywhere so each person has to decide what suits him best.
So far for me I feel best in western democracies, of course including Australia and New Zealand but I cannot comment on China never having been there. Most importantly for me is for the system to give each individual as much personal freedom as possible of course without impacting on freedom of others.
