Sarfraz Nawaz has been saying since past 25 years that wasim and company are corrupt. After every loss sarfraz would come out and give interviews that the match was lost due to betting. No one listened to him.
The problem with that was he never gave any evidence. He just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. He may have been right, but you need to give evidence else its of no use

I don't agree, how any player fix the matches so long with many players this is impossible, only possible when the cricket board wants to use players for match fixing, if any player won't do they kick out like salim malik or many more, we had a corrupt board from the past era, players are dummy for them we have to change the system only, players will not do any fixing

As a young boy, I always hated Aqib Javed because he played very aggressive against India and got the top batsmen out. But now as I have got older I understand his passion to play for Pakistan and how loyal he was to his country of birth. He didn't betray his country even though match fixing was being done undetected, had lot of money and the best in business involved. Salute to Aqib from India for this reason. Make him the selector and coach, he will do his best.

But most of the important matches were fixed by big Pakistani players. Indian players were also involved in during the same period. Azhar, Jadeja, Prabhakar, etc to name a few. India tried to clean the filth after 2000 when Ganguly became captain and with heavy crackdown on the the Underworld. But the culture of corruption is still rampant in India and Pakistan and only strict regulations and their implementation can control such corruption. Aqib was a teen age prodigy for Pakistan. He played an important role in winning the World Cup. Aqib's career was cut short by the vicious mafia. He is now connected with Lahore Qalandars and doing a wonderful job for them and for Pakistan. I wish him all the success in life and career.

As a ex cricket player from Mumbai and cricket lover, I certainly want permanent solution over fixing. I'm sure about Aquib Javed's talent about bowling and he was never less from any angle when compared to your cricket bowling heros. I feel he should have played more international games for Pakistan. I hope Pakistan is using him to shape young bowling talent which is happening in India. He is right in saying about uncertain future of talented players. Fortunately in India its not so. They get cricketing jobs after retirement

Even us Indians feel sad the way some really promising careers of excellent Pakistani cricketers have been destroyed. As the saying, there's no smoke without fire, there definitely is some real fire there. There's no way you can give them back their careers, but give them a closure at least. This betting and match fixing syndicate has destroyed this beautiful game and some really excellent cricketers.
India Pakistan rivalry and political hate to one side, love for the game and respect for the cricketers one side. If someone is being brave and coming out with details, he deserves everyone from India and Pakistan to support him.

As a teenager, growing up in the 90's, i can attest to most of what he has said.. There was a clear group of players who never sold their Soul and hence like Aaqib said, they only used to play when Wasim Akram was not around. Aaqib, Ramiz were prime examples. Whenever Wasim used Fix a game and there was pressure from public about the performance, the Board used to select Ramiz or Aamir Sohail as captain and then the rest of the group Ejaz, Inzi, Moin, Waqar, Mushy would stop performing so that the team performance would go down and then Wasim would be brought back as Captain. Rashid, Basit, Aamir Sohail and Aaqib they sacrifised their careers to uphold the name of the country, they should be honored. Wasim, Waqar were no doubt much bigger players, but crooked humans who sold their soul to the devil for some london flats and money.
Had no idea Inzy, Waqar, Mushi were part of this!

Yes but PCB is unprofessional and BCCI is miles ahead in managing cricketing affairs. Thus, India deserves to be ahead. Look at Sarfaraz he was unfit, and see how Virat Kohli ensures a strict diet regime and discipline in the side. So now Pakistani cricket fans are enjoying great Indian batting, all India needs are 150 km/h plus fast bowlers or upto Shami's pace. Then India will be number.1 in all formats for a longer period. Cricket's evolution has occured, players need to be fit, muscular and adapt to the modern game , which sadly Pakistan is not following, only Babar Azam is good batsmen but if he falters then the team is average.

Aaqib you are our hero and yes this has to end it has to be brought under ciminal act by law and as you mentioned must be followed to other departments to root out this problem of corruption no matter how good or talented someone is but they are never beyond the justice. It was such a big shock that even today people are getting shockwaves. Wasim Akram's house got burned. Pakistan played so bad, it was like school kids against professional cricketers.
ICC didn't take legal action or thorough investigation like it usually does against Pakistan.

@@Godplayzdice Austrailia was also a great team which won the World Cup being 3rd favorite after South Africa. But sometimes a better team loses or its not your day. Pakistan were favorites, ranked no1 were unstoppable till the final. Austrailia without doubt was the best team for 8years winning another World Cup.
When Pakistan won the 1992 World Cup was one of the worst Pakistan teams to win after losing 3 games.
In one of the Australian tours - Mohammad Yousaf captain - 9 of the 11 players were on bookies' payroll. Afridi, Inzimam, Akmal brothers, Mohd Asif, saqqi, mushi all were involved. Many have long beards now-a-days! Corruption is culture in India/Pak!

There was a lot of fluff and lies and accusations against rising cricketers from Asia like Pak, India, SL, etc. Back in the day every fast bowler used to tamper ball. No one cared. Then technology and camera work improved, laws changed and umpiring also changed. There was a lot of honest effort put into real cricket which was ignored by haters in the past and at present time. We should all hope that cricket is always played in best sportsmanship and honesty always prevails.

Out of the Pak team from 1994 onward 3 1/2 people who were not involved in matching are Rashid Latif , Aqib Javed , Amir Sohail and 1/2 for Bashat Ali . All the remaining players Wasim, Waqar and the Mullah Brigade were involved in match fixing and they were backed by useless incompetent PCB.
