- Ali shows Rush what it's like early season at the Coronado Islands fishing yellowtail. The Coronado Islands yellowtail fishing is wide open with schools of fish on the surface under birds (Bird school, Run and gun) style with surface iron out of San Diego Fishing for yellowtail tuna.

The new fishing TV show Local Knowledge kicks off with the debut episode, Key West Coast Style, and follows hosts and avid anglers Captain Ali Hussainy and Capt. Rush Maltz. Each is an expert on their home turf, but the adventure begins as they explore the opposite coast’s fishing and lifestyle and endure some good-natured ribbing. The show focuses on the adventure, people, food, and the culture of fishing itself in San Diego, California and Key West, Florida.

Too bad there was pretty much no iron fishing in this episode. I'm a fan of the show now, but was really looking for a full episode on SD Iron fishing and half the show was Florida fishing and only one of two yellows caught were on the iron.

In this episode we were fishing a mix of mostly custom rods. Now were are fishing the new Penn Carnage II rods and loving them.

That's almost correct. There's a few that escaped a fish farm in Panama and I guess are doing quiet well in the pacific. Crazy but true! Thanks for watching.
