It's safe to say, you really need to keep an eye on those guys. They are pretty dumb if they think CO2 is safe to breath when they are suffocating.
So, Mr. Pravus, here's a quick advise for future use.
When you get Exosuits, get a Researcher to geysers to "Investigate" them.
That way, you can adapt your production better.
Or you may not, it's to you to decide.

Natural gas is mostly methane (CH4). Any energy produced by methane is obtained by burning it.
The reaction of the combustion of methane is CH4 + 3O2 --> CO2 + 4H20.
The fact that it "produces" water is completely accurate (technically it produces steam), but it should also have an oxygen intake for the combustion to take place.

When you burn hydrocarbons your resulting reactants are always h2o and co2
Pretty sure there isn't actually ice blocks in the water yet, aren't those just the 'blueprints'?
in the screen he was talking about it, they were not built yet, yes; but at the same time they deliver the ice into said blueprint to make it, so it will cool it down for a while, once it is built they hit the melt point rather fast
Pravus the dupes need exosuits when using any petroleum setup oil rig, Palmer press etc. That how you make hazardous areas more efficient.
Watching you play this game is helping with my depression and anxiety this game just calms me down

is there an "unending" energy source in the game to make a self sustaining colony whithout doing some "vomit to create water"-trickery?
natural gas can be done infinitely check out GrindThisGames power tutorial
Coal hydrogen steam solar power oil. There are a lot of ways of infinite and sustainable power generation.
Coal requires extensive hatch ranching.
Hydrogen is the easiest. Just set up an electrolyser for oxygen
Steam requires that you find a volcano or dump water in lava or molten glass to hear it to 300C
Solar is super late game as you need a lot of steel and glass to build it and ensure that it isnt hit by meteors
There's a guaranteed nat gas geyser on every map, potentially two although the second might be a chlorine vent. One geyser feeds like seven generators I think? The update to geysers means you can't just depend on one source though because they go dormant for ages, so I tend to use natural gas is my primary source, feed the overflow of nat gas into a tank and then, when that expires, hydrogen and coal kick in.

I haven't watched this video I'm halfway through #7 but this is the one he will be checking for help. Is SPACE IS COLD. While I don't have the game it seems pretty realistic so you in theory could cool your water and gas in outer space right?

Don't know about game mechanics, but space is empty, not cold or hot. In fact, putting water in space would be more likely to heat it up from star light, assuming the asteroid does orbit a star.
