I left my top level apartment thinking it's not safe then drove to my sister's down the road right off Airport Rd. and the tornado hit right where we were!! The roof was totally gone from the house across the street and a huge tree had fallen on the house as well. Power lines were down and a car even got blown into a yard!! Very scary night!! Also I saw a lot of trees down and debris everywhere!!
Im in lebanon, i went to gallatin 5 minutes after it went through to check on everyones safety house to house. Definitely scary stuff. Thankfully i didnt find anyone hurt

Tornadoes have been always a severe weather threat in TN the longest i lived in and around the state, as well as a downside of living here all in all. Probably due to the fact that any cold or cool front that comes through, is meant with stronger resistance from the Atlantic and gulf ridges, over this part of the southeast. And that can generate severe weather on it's own. This is also why the biggest threat for tornadoes here are usually during this time of year, and spring.
The climate has been changing since the beginning of time. I’ve lived with tornadoes, threats of tornadoes and severe weather all of my 58 years. This “climate change” comment is ridiculous.

Glad he's okay, this is about 200 yards away from us. Right in our neighborhood off Airport Road not far from 109.
That's why old timers didn't plant a tall tree that would fall over on a house, you get impaled or crushed. That old man was very, very lucky
