I advise people to be wary of Abhijit Iyer-Mitra. Beyond a point, he is no different from the average 'liberal'. He also believes in Ambedkarite tropes, which is basically what Hindutva of today has become (yes, 'liberals;' Hindutva changed, and your criticism of it is still stuck in the 1920s). Guilt-tripping Brahmins is an ineradicable component of this creed, and Abhijit Iyer-Mitra is an enthusiastic believer in it.

I was so miffed with BJP, I was convinced to vote for opposition. Then gradually as the election time was coming near...given opposition's posture, I made up my mid for NOTA. But the kind of fear congress has instilled in the heart of the people in last 15 days with all their pole promise...made me relectunt to vote for BJP.
It feels like the future, will be very dark for India if Congress somehow manages to win. Rahul Gandhi is no leader but a dud.

Barkha has worded her question regards kicking the namazi or prayers in a Mall and comparing it to kawadiyas in a certain manner.
The aggressive behaviour of those namazis, entitled encroachments everywhere is consciously ignored. In fact Hindus on social media have criticised the police.

I have no hesitation in accepting him as an intellectual. But he has inherent contradictions when he says he is an atheist and on the other hand states he is a cultural Hindu. I have no problem in his eating habits but him carrying “Iyer” in his name and flaunting his

atheist and cultural hindu go hand in hand, dont u know this?? anybody who tells he is an atheist is actually somebody who is lazy or finds no point in worshipping idols,, and to cater this problem our gurus have discovereed advaita philosphy more like atheism, but its actually a quantum physics theoretical philosphy... which is the creator and our souls are 1, the creator is this formless energy, present eveywhere, our souls are just extensions of it, hence the proverb in hinduism, god lies in all living organism . a subtle way to teach a scientific concept,, ofc this kind of knowledge is only avaibale to those who researched abt vedas,, which most dont... hence they remain athest meaning no worshipping or rituals etc, but do follow all hindu cultures, like respecting books byb giving it a position of goddess saraswati etc etc..
