Such a great review! I’ve seen this movie countless times and I’m a huge Eminem fan. I love that you guys are also fans and that you love this movie as much as I do. I remember reading that Eminem wanted Proof to play Future because he was who the character was based off of but I can’t remember if it was the director or Proof who decided not to go that route. The battle raps at the end are so good and so are the outtakes where Em broke character and destroyed the rappers that weren’t shown on screen.
I really appreciate this movie. I love the cinematography and you know, Eminem was such a great leading man in this. It’s kind of sad he never did any other movies. I heard he was going to star in “Southpaw” but good old Jake Gyllenhaal got that at Eminem did a song on the soundtrack.
Great review guys! I have been looking forward to this one. There were always 2 disappointments for me concerning this film. The first was that there was never a sequel; I always wanted to see a 2nd movie showing Rabbit's rise to success after he went back to work that night. The second was that Eminem didn't continue acting, which is probably why there was never a sequel. He did so well in this film, and had he continued I think he would have become a great actor. Also it's funny to re-watch this film years later and realize that Falcon is the villain lol.
It's hard to take a movie seriously when their characters are named Rabbit, Cheddar, Corn Pop........and even less when they're brawling in the trail park
I freakin' LOVE Eminem too!!! Did you ever get to go to one of his concerts? I did! I was supposed to go to 2 actually but Limp Biscuit who was supposed to be there too (for some reason) had some bs reason they couldn't play so the entire thing was cancelled. I didn't want to see them to begin with so that was annoying AF which is why I purposely didn't spell biscuit illiterately like they do lol. Yeah still bitter even though it's been like 20 years lol. Hey, was Armando drinking from a Tim Hortons mug?
I cldnt help but take alittle offense to the "string of bad movies we have reviewed here lately" comment lol 😂 look i promise we only have a few more van damme movies to request and then this van damme train will come to a halt 😂 ....and then we will move on the next action superstar list 😊

I’d love to but I’ve never seen him. Sadly Armando and I saw Limp in the late 90s. Only good thing was DMX was the opener.
