i like the fact your realistic in your videos, yes it's hard on equipment, yes it bogs the truck down, yes traction can be an issue. still an amazing operation and amazing tools you're running.
Gas is better for plowing imo. Plenty of power and much less expensive up front and easier and less expensive to operate and maintain. Unless you're towing a lot of heavy stuff on a regular basis and burning lots of fuel the diesel won't really pay for itself.
Hey Garrett a nother great video on your channel u definitely my favorite TH-camr merry Christmas from my family to your family keep up the amazing work on your channel
I love these videos! I love how many different shots that you get! I love to see those Chevy trucks at work man! Also the power that the Cat has is crazy food! I love Cat and I’m a huge fan of there products! Great video and keep up the great work!
Do you have a method to plow this parking lot? I was trying to figure it out but just looked like you guys were all over place? I have never done commercial plowing so im just curious
Yes we do. In the video I was just opening it up since there was so much. Once it’s opened up then we do a final clean up which is one section at a time.
@@GarrettWilliams2017 Makes sense. Those 10-14ft push plows are awesome. Normally only see videos of them pushing 2-3 inches at a time. This was cool to see them moving some snow!
SE, MI: St. Clair, CO. We're predicted anything from 3 to 9 inches lmao. This is going to be an interesting one. We've gotten 14 last year in about 5 hours, this snow part of the storm is predicted to hit us between 3am Friday morning into Friday night about 11pm. Since I've been in business in 2018, this is a first for as long as it's going to last for us. 98% of our snowstorms typically hit between 3 and 4pm the afternoon before we go out and last until 4am the next morning. I'm basically seeing a 10th of an inch an hour for at least 4 hours, .2" per hour for around 6hrs, and .3 or higher for around 11hrs.Good Luck if you have to plow for a business, and stay safe!
i like your attitude about V plows, you wanna be stuck in the stone ages of plows, cool do your thing. the rest of us are gonna be making more money with expanding wing plows.
My favorite part of your plowing vids are guessing where you are plowing lol. The first part was at coberns and the second part I have no clue where it is.
Just curious, was the Cat with the Arctic running in 2 speed mode? Seems to be having a little bit of a hard time pushing that much snow... We are in Wisconsin, and have that same plow on our Cat 247b3. We definitely got quite the heavy dump of wet snow!
I don’t understand why you don’t grid the lot; start at one end and then work together wind rowing the snow steady until lot is finished. It seems that you guys just drive wherever instead of like one row then the next row and keep it moving like waves
The plow is too big for the truck. I understand the need to get into tight areas and do drive ways and get it done faster, but I think you would benefit from a non CDL medium duty with a plow like that. I almost said with a wing but that would probably make parking lots more difficult.
The 12' and 14' Sno-Power plows are advertised for and with 3/4 ton and 1 ton pickups. The main blade is only like 14/15" high. The biggest issue they're having is cupping the plow while they're pushing long runs, instead they should have it break off on the right OR left side wing. Cup the left and break on the right or vice versa. Never cup the entire plow unless you're on the last run and win-rolled towards the center. Then you'll only have one hard run and a couple of cleanup runs. Plus it doesn't help that it seems there are a few "snow removal TH-camrs" on here that don't have a route when plowing. It seems like they just push through the parking lot wherever and takes much longer instead of pushing from one side to the other and have two trucks work from opposite ends of the parking lot.
@@zacharydanneels3088 definitely some truth to this. And some guys on here to have a full route, but they’re not gonna Show them going forward and back 50 times in a row that would get old. So when I am filming, I do sometimes just push here and there to kind of show around the site. Will try and make a video on how we actually plow a lot this winter.
You guys are all over the place as far as plowing, plowing in the middle lane and dumping snow off both sides of your blade, you should be plowing away from the building then you’re dumping snow with the entry of the aisle. You just seem to be driving all over the property. Nothing is in order. You make twice as much work for yourself.

Like seeing HD Silverados doing hard work. Thanks!
Cant wait to watch it all!!
Love snow videos! 👍🏽
We supposed to get snow here in Indianapolis Indiana Thursday night into Friday You're doing a Great job
Great video!! So cool watching the plows at work. Makes me want a HC Duramax!

Beautiful trucks bruh
Awesome video. Garrett, I hope you really are like you seem in the vids. That’s meant as a compliment.
Great video!
Now that’s hogging’ some snow! I like those plows but you gotta have the right motor to push it. Doubt my Ford gasser could handle the load.
YEEEUUUUUSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! More plowing

You guys are having to m7ch fun. 8 to 17 coming to Michigan Friday night.

Great video man. Love how much you can move with that plow. New subscriber here!
We got 25” of that cement snow in Maine a few days ago. It was terrible everything was struggling to push. Somehow didn’t break anything
That’s a LOT! Good to hear!
That's a lot of material, how those hd trucks hold up
My favorite part of your plowing vids are guessing where you are plowing lol. The first part was at coberns and the second part I have no clue where it is.
Hehe it’s all within 15 mins of our shop!
Does the guy with the red truck still plow with you?
I did it get a good size loader cat 950 you’ll sleep well at night
Full sends #beatit
Too gun or sno power for a rear plow?
We have a blizzard forecasted for 12/23 though 12/26/22 I'm getting new front tires on my truck tomorrow I hate plowing snow
Get a truck bed cover for your truck. Keep things dry and clean.
Retract is while plowing for visibility

Yes most of the time it’s in 2 speed. It definitely does struggle sometimes but it gets er done
trucks are ok, but if you to do shopping malls u need loaders with 12 48-24 metal pless to be faster and more efficient
Plus with loader you can pile it up hi.
@@Djrowskinj Easy to say very expensive to do.
They can put the Kage sectional edge on all of their truck plows if they want a better scrape and keep all the same equipment.
@@noworriesmate5903 I agree. More money moving equipment that can only plow one place versus a truck that can do multiple places.
He already has loaders and such. They are probably all out on different job.

That’s why you don’t push it all at once. Do small portions at a time saves on equipment
Pleased with how well the f12 and 14 carry snow since it’s not a very tall blade!
a lot of people wanted to criticize that before they saw it work, doesn't seem to be an issue.
Duluth got 3ft this week. Another blizzard tommorow.
What does your tranny temp get to with f14
150-180. Stays cool compared to some big v plows
I want a hydraulics guy to make my HW16 like 3 times faster
is this your 1st season with the new 14" front plow ?
Yes it just came out

Nice plows. But your trying to push the snow to far.
Which is wasting time.

Pushing all that weight in reverse is going to end up nuking your transmission. Reverse isn't designed for high torque.
These plows have been used for 20+ years in Michigan and no one has had many issues with reverse
Damm guy do less talking and more work like those 2. Other guys seem like they're doing the work and all you want to do is talk
He's probably the boss/owner
