#Starry forever but the breaking up to make up thing is so fucking annoying. Leave them apart or keep them together. Ugh. I predicted the Ryan and Ste situation months ago. Their pairing makes sense on the count of both of them being the parents of the children. Them being together might make co-parenting easier. As confusing as it might be for everyone it also makes sense. You can't force feelings for someone so if Harry doesn't like James in a romantic way then so be it. I just know that Harry and James deserve to be loved and cared for. Maybe one day Harry will see the man I see in James and will give him a real chance. At the end of the day James is truly there for Harry right now. I like James.

James was not only the one to introduce Harry to prostitution in the first place, he did it so he could use it to blackmail Harry into persuading his father to let James` mother, Marnie, take over the restaurant. In other words James not only exploited Harry, he forced him to betray his own father, if not, James would tell Ste that Harry had sold himself for money. With such an history between them, it wouldn`t be realistic for Harry to feel anything other than skepticism and hate towards James. But because Harry feels alone and isolated at the moment, he allow himself to form a business relationship with Ryan. But he would be a foul to trust him. In fact, I wonder if maybe Harry is back for revenge? And is now paying back James with the same coin, and plan to blackmail James to get Marnie to give the restaurant back to Tony - if not, Harry will make sure James will be caught for pimping, and both James` job and legal career would be history - and James himself could even be sent to jail. I certainly would root more for such a development, than for Harry and James to become a couple.

Harry is still a blind bastard who clearly doesn't deserve my baby James. On the other note, the happiness I felt after Styan's kiss was enough to make me forgive this messed up Jarry storyline a bit, BUT it will never ever make up for it, unless they sail Jarry for me!
It’s official their setting Ste and Harry up to get back together. I can already see the resemblance in what Harry’s character is going through with his storyline to Ste’s past storylines when he was making reckless decisions. Plus I can’t help but feel like both Ryan and James (the two people who orchestrated Amy’s case to be a fuck up from the beginning) are taking advantage of their sadness right now. It’s not like these two are in stable mindsets. Even the last scene for Harry last episode was kissing James; Ste’s last scene the next episode is him kissing Ryan. The writers are just playing a game to make their relationship more dynamic when they do reunite

I hated how Harry acted with James, I cried too much when Ste started crying when Harry reminded him of moments of them together, it hurt me to see James that way and I HATE Ste and Ryan together. So, I do not know how all this was formed by Amy's death but it's killing me 💔😧
there still dealing with the who killed Amy story line. we already know that Ryan killed Amy because she found out that he had an affair on the day of there wedding.
Seeing Harry battered and bruised must have brought back some painful memories for Ste of the many times he was beaten by Brendan. As Ste said to Amy, “You know the first time that he [Brendan] slapped me around we were on our own and for a minute I thought he was gonna kill me.”
Maybe James should have thought about that when he first introduced Harry to prostitution, only to turn it against him by blackmailing poor Harry into betraying his own father, having to convince him to let James` mother , Marnie, take over his restaurant - if not, James would tell Ste Harry had prostituted himself. In that light you shouldn`t be so surprised Harry isn`t particularly taken by James romantically. Had James, instead of prostituted Harry and manipulated him for his mother`s advantage, genuinely helped Harry and Ste back then, he could have won Harry over a long time ago. But James only being focused on himself, isn`t very good boyfriend material - and thus should not be surprised he is not in much demand. James needs to change before he is ready to be in a relationship with anyone.
so I see that Ste is still sleeping around that's why I never really shipped Starry. I know this a Starry account but I have to say this: I don't buy this great love they supposedly have one because Ste is always sleeping around on Harry. I know that they aren't together anymore but if you're in love with someone it's hard to be having ONS'. I feel like Ste's love of his life was Brendan. He was the only one that he was faithful to. Ste has been floundering around ever since he lost Brendan: Doug, JP, Harry have all been one off's basically. He needs Brendan back or he's gonna continue being lost like he has been since Brendan was sent to jail. Maybe one day Ste will grow up and love someone wholeheartedly like he did Brendan, if that's Harry in the future, remains to be seen.
Since he doesn`t know, that isn`t really that strange, is it? I am more surprised Hollyoaks has managed to create a story line so flawed it doesn`t add up logically. Cause if Ste could be prosecuted for having killed Amy, when we know he was both alibied by his phone when calling his dealer from the woods, and after that he was with Tony and Dianne getting cleaned up, while Ryan first was with his new father in law, Mike, in the club, and also the same night was with Kyle, that means Ryan either could not have been the killer, cause since Ste`s window of opportunity was before eleven o`clock, Amy`s time of death would have had to have been estimated before eleven o`clock for Ste to be charged and prosecuted. But since Ryan had an alibi for that time - either was with Mike in the club, or Kyle somewhere else - he couldn`t have killed Amy, since the fact Ste was prosecuted meant the post mortem had to have established Amy`s time of death to before eleven o`clock. And Ryan couldn`t have killed her after she already had been killed - nor could she have gotten unconscious in the altercation with Harry. The story line is seriously flawed. Either Hollyoaks could have had Ste wrongly prosecuted - or they could have had Ryan as the killer, after Amy first had been knocked unconscious when Harry was there. But they would have had to choose one or the other, otherwise the time of death would have ruled out either Ryan and Harry, or Ste, as the killer.

Okay, I am watching this, and the look on James face is reminiscent of the look on Brian from QAF US when Justin does something that he thinks is wrong, but instead of judging and telling Justin he believes its a bad idea or don't do it, he lets Justin do it, with his quasi approval while all passive aggressively trying to get him to change his mind through actions until Justin actually stops doing whatever it was he was doing in the first place. Now Ste and Ryan.... can we say Steran..... I know, so close to Stendan but, I'm sorry, they both are so similar in dynamics, those guys are hot, hot, hot.... damn..... I ship Ste+Harry yet I also ship James+Harry (although I have grown to like James and it kills me to see him put his carefully created walls down and be rejected/hurt again). Whenever did James save Harry from anything? He exploited him by first prostituting him and then blackmailing him for the same so he could get Harry to persuade his father, Tony, to let James` mother, Marnie, have Tony`s restaurant - which James orchestrated to only be Tony`s after having conned Tony into suing his own son, so Harry`s boyfriend, Ste, would have to hand over his half of the restaurant to Tony for the bogus lawsuit to disappear. Later he James conned Harry`s father, Tony, pretending to act as his legal adviser, while he in fact was working for his own mother, Marnie, helping her con Tony`s restaurant from him. With such a past - where especially the prostitution bit was very devastating for Harry - so tough, that after learning the £10 000 were not needed after all, he preferred handing them back to James, rather than keeping them. With such an history, how could they ever form a loving and caring relationship of mutual respect? I don`t think it is possible. James is coldblooded crocodile, who may believe himself he care for Harry, but his way of caring falls way short of the standard Harry himself cares for Ste and his own family and friends. Harry could never have done what James did to him - manipulate and control him, to make him both betray his own family and his own personal moral. So how can he ever be in a relationship with someone he both have this history with, and who he knows not to be trustworthy? James is venomous, Harry would be well advised to keep his distance.
Tvjunkieful12 He saved him from going to jail for murder by framing Armstrong and keeping him out of jail for prostitution by blackmailing a police officer, I know its a soap but most attorneys are friends with the police and wouldn't think of covering up for anyone. He tried to get with Tony and keep Harry in school but Harry was only thinking about Ste. Harry's character is a teen and like most teens you try to stick with your first love if in your mind you feel that the love is real but James is older and sees that Harry is wasting his time on Ste.

James could, had he been a decent lawyer and not a psycho with a second agenda, have prevented Ste from being charged and held on remand, simply by pointing out the fact Ste`s "confession" wasn`t sound, since Armstrong during the interview fed Ste everything Ste needed to know about the killing to make the "confession" appear truthful and accurate. Ste didn`t remember anything from the night, Armstrong told him, and showed him with photos from the crime scene, what had happened. Had James mentioned that fact to the CPS, it would have been confirmed by they tape interview, and Ste would neither have been charged, nor prosecuted - and Armstrong would have been taken off the case. So the only reason Ste went to jail, was because James wanted him there. To consciously and with intent sabotage your own client is both unethical and illegal conduct of James, and had it been discovered would most likely have lost him both his job and his licence to practice law, add the little thing about planting Ste`s blood on the trainer, and it would have meant jail time too. So just to be clear, James didn`t protect Harry by keeping Ste held on remand, he just made it more likely Harry would eventually turn himself in to prevent Ste from being convicted of something he hadn`t done. James had his own agenda wanting to see Ste locked up. Whether that was revenge for the night Ste had had with JP, or if James wanted Ste out of the way so he could take over Harry, is anybody`s guess. In regard to the solicitation arrest, Harry would probably never have found himself in that situation at all, had it not been for the fact James first introduced him to prostitution by paying him £10 000 for a night of sex - only to blackmail poor Harry about it afterwards, to make him betray his father so James, mum, Marnie, could take over Harry`s father`s restaurant. Do your really think that qualify as having Harry`s best interest at heart? Add to that the solicitation charge was bogus, since it was not part of any particular sting operation targeting the rent boy scene, nor was it connected to the investigation of another crime. Therefore any decent lawyer would have made that charge disappear in the blink of an eye, since Harry`s history of being Ste`s boyfriend during the custody battle meant Harry and Ryan had a history which could make the arrest of Harry appear suspicious, Ryan being the arresting officer. All those factors together would have made the CPS very hesitant to charge Harry, simply on Ryan`s say so. James interest in Harry seems more to be to obtain control over him, than help, support or care for him. That is not love in my book. That is exploitation and abuse.
Tvjunkieful12 I wasn't talking about how James treated Steven but that reminds me of how Brendan used to do the same kinds of things to keep Ste close. He practically tortured that man every chance he got and would turn around and want him sexually but turned out that was one of the best love stories on the soaps, until you know it wasn't. Aa LI The reason Stendan worked had more to do with the two actors playing them, then how the story lines, scenes and episodes were written, in my opinion. And I think the same is the fact behind the popularity of the character of James - it is more a credit to how Gregory Finnegan plays him, than how the character actually has been written, and the story lines he has been given. For anyone with a minimum knowledge about the law and lawyers, James is a bad joke of a character. Cause even though Finnegan is able to portray a top notch lawyer to perfection, the lines and story lines he has been handed when acting as one are totally amateurish. James must be the absolute worse tv lawyer ever. Cause lawyers, because of their great knowledge, insight and experience in matters of the law, operates WITHIN the law - they don`t break it. Stretch and bend, yes off course, cause that is their skills and forte, but they never break it. Mostly because they don`t have to, but also because breaking the law could cost them both their reputations, jobs and careers. But James constantly operates OUTSIDE of the law - and now he has even added immoral earning to the list. Something which would be completely bonkers for a lawyer to do. Had a lawyer gotten involved in something like that, he would have set it up so nothing could be traced back to him. And being a lawyer, he would know exactly how to do that too. Maybe you are right, and the old cliche will be repeated, and Harry and James will end up falling in love. But I still don`t find such a development very credible, their history taking into account. And would have preferred if Harry used James` pimping against him, in the same way as James used the £10 000 night against Harry, and Harry obtained evidence (like recording himself and the client talking about the money for the "session" having been paid to James, maybe even a few words about how nice James` flat was, so the lawyers property would be documented to have been used to obtain immoral earnings) James was pimping him out, showed them to James - and James, realizing he could lose both his job, career and freedom should he get arrested, would have been forced to reach some kind of out of court settlement with Harry, if Harry threatened to sue him. Cause should the authorities learn what James had been up to, he would have been finished as a lawyer and facing jail as well. So if Harry demanded James got his mother, Marnie, to give the restaurant back to Tony, and on top of that demanded James appartement and car for himself as well, James would have no other option than to let him have it, should James have any hope of remaining a lawyer and keep his freedom. The idea of Harry being a prostitute is one I don`t like one little bit. I would much prefer him to turn the tables on James, and get the restaurant back to his father, and some well earned compensation for himself, for everything James has put him through.
The truth needs to be revealed this year almost over how much long do we have to wait Harry going through a lot because of him thinking he killed Amy Ryan did it he needs to pay all the lies for what just because he’s into men he needs to come forward and stop putting it on someone esle and I️ like how James is there for Harry
I still prefer James for Harry cause Gregory and Parry don't outshine each other. If Harry goes back to Ste I'm afraid Parry will find himself playing second fidel again. And I do think James can offer Harry more and better and actually cares more about Harry's own well being than Ste does who has always been much more self serving.
I want a new romantic interest for Harry. I know that Ryan is going to try to kill Ste next. I hope Harry is there to take the bullet and then end up in hospital (thereby paying Ste back for the prison time that Ste had to go through by taking the blame for Amy's murder). And I want that to be the end of Starry. Then Harry should get someone new who can put his damaged life back together. James isn't the kind of guy who would stick around Harry for long enough I feel. Maybe James should have thought about that when he first introduced Harry to prostitution, only to turn it against him by blackmailing poor Harry into betraying his own father, having to convince him to let James` mother , Marnie, take over his restaurant - if not, James would tell Ste Harry had prostituted himself. In that light you shouldn`t be so surprised Harry isn`t particularly taken by James romantically. Had James, instead of prostituted Harry and manipulated him for his mother`s advantage, genuinely helped Harry and Ste back then, he could have won Harry over a long time ago. But James only being focused on himself, isn`t very good boyfriend material - and thus should not be surprised he is not in much demand.

so I see that Ste is still sleeping around that's why I never really shipped Starry. I know this a Starry account but I have to say this: I don't buy this great love they supposedly have one because Ste is always sleeping around on Harry. I know that they aren't together anymore but if you're in love with someone it's hard to be having ONS'. I feel like Ste's love of his life was Brendan. He was the only one that he was faithful to. Ste has been floundering around ever since he lost Brendan: Doug, JP, Harry have all been one off's basically. He needs Brendan back or he's gonna continue being lost like he has been since Brendan was sent to jail. Maybe one day Ste will grow up and love someone wholeheartedly like he did Brendan, if that's Harry in the future, remains to be seen.

Since he doesn`t know, that isn`t really that strange, is it? I am more surprised Hollyoaks has managed to create a story line so flawed it doesn`t add up logically. Cause if Ste could be prosecuted for having killed Amy, when we know he was both alibied by his phone when calling his dealer from the woods, and after that he was with Tony and Dianne getting cleaned up, while Ryan first was with his new father in law, Mike, in the club, and also the same night was with Kyle, that means Ryan either could not have been the killer, cause since Ste`s window of opportunity was before eleven o`clock, Amy`s time of death would have had to have been estimated before eleven o`clock for Ste to be charged and prosecuted. But since Ryan had an alibi for that time - either was with Mike in the club, or Kyle somewhere else - he couldn`t have killed Amy, since the fact Ste was prosecuted meant the post mortem had to have established Amy`s time of death to before eleven o`clock. And Ryan couldn`t have killed her after she already had been killed - nor could she have gotten unconscious in the altercation with Harry.
The story line is seriously flawed. Either Hollyoaks could have had Ste wrongly prosecuted - or they could have had Ryan as the killer, after Amy first had been knocked unconscious when Harry was there. But they would have had to choose one or the other, otherwise the time of death would have ruled out either Ryan and Harry, or Ste, as the killer.

Okay, I am watching this, and the look on James face is reminiscent of the look on Brian from QAF US when Justin does something that he thinks is wrong, but instead of judging and telling Justin he believes its a bad idea or don't do it, he lets Justin do it, with his quasi approval while all passive aggressively trying to get him to change his mind through actions until Justin actually stops doing whatever it was he was doing in the first place.
Now Ste and Ryan.... can we say Steran..... I know, so close to Stendan but, I'm sorry, they both are so similar in dynamics, those guys are hot, hot, hot.... damn..... But it could be because of my affinity for men with tats.... And before anyone gets their knickers in a twist Brandon is/was a killer, domestic & psychological abuser and thief, least we forget one kill was because of/for Ste, so the whole Ryan is a killer so he and Ste can't be together doesn't even hold dirty bath water with me.
Ah!! This is confusing me! I ship Ste+Harry yet I also ship James+Harry (although I have grown to like James and it kills me to see him put his carefully created walls down and be rejected/hurt again). Come on Harry look at the big picture, he loves you and would protect you from anyone trying to take anything from you. He's saved you numerous times from yourself.
Whenever did James save Harry from anything? He exploited him by first prostituting him and then blackmailing him for the same so he could get Harry to persuade his father, Tony, to let James` mother, Marnie, have Tony`s restaurant - which James orchestrated to only be Tony`s after having conned Tony into suing his own son, so Harry`s boyfriend, Ste, would have to hand over his half of the restaurant to Tony for the bogus lawsuit to disappear. Later he James conned Harry`s father, Tony, pretending to act as his legal adviser, while he in fact was working for his own mother, Marnie, helping her con Tony`s restaurant from him. With such a past - where especially the prostitution bit was very devastating for Harry - so tough, that after learning the £10 000 were not needed after all, he preferred handing them back to James, rather than keeping them. With such an history, how could they ever form a loving and caring relationship of mutual respect? I don`t think it is possible. James is coldblooded crocodile, who may believe himself he care for Harry, but his way of caring falls way short of the standard Harry himself cares for Ste and his own family and friends. Harry could never have done what James did to him - manipulate and control him, to make him both betray his own family and his own personal moral. So how can he ever be in a relationship with someone he both have this history with, and who he knows not to be trustworthy?
James is venomous, Harry would be well advised to keep his distance.
Tvjunkieful12 He saved him from going to jail for murder by framing Armstrong and keeping him out of jail for prostitution by blackmailing a police officer, I know its a soap but most attorneys are friends with the police and wouldn't think of covering up for anyone. He tried to get with Tony and keep Harry in school but Harry was only thinking about Ste. Harry's character is a teen and like most teens you try to stick with your first love if in your mind you feel that the love is real but James is older and sees that Harry is wasting his time on Ste.
Aa LI Let`s get the facts straight. James could, had he been a decent lawyer and not a psycho with a second agenda, have prevented Ste from being charged and held on remand, simply by pointing out the fact Ste`s "confession" wasn`t sound, since Armstrong during the interview fed Ste everything Ste needed to know about the killing to make the "confession" appear truthful and accurate. Ste didn`t remember anything from the night, Armstrong told him, and showed him with photos from the crime scene, what had happened. Had James mentioned that fact to the CPS, it would have been confirmed by they tape interview, and Ste would neither have been charged, nor prosecuted - and Armstrong would have been taken off the case. So the only reason Ste went to jail, was because James wanted him there. To consciously and with intent sabotage your own client is both unethical and illegal conduct of James, and had it been discovered would most likely have lost him both his job and his licence to practice law, add the little thing about planting Ste`s blood on the trainer, and it would have meant jail time too.
So just to be clear, James didn`t protect Harry by keeping Ste held on remand, he just made it more likely Harry would eventually turn himself in to prevent Ste from being convicted of something he hadn`t done. James had his own agenda wanting to see Ste locked up. Whether that was revenge for the night Ste had had with JP, or if James wanted Ste out of the way so he could take over Harry, is anybody`s guess.

Therefore any decent lawyer would have made that charge disappear in the blink of an eye, since Harry`s history of being Ste`s boyfriend during the custody battle meant Harry and Ryan had a history which could make the arrest of Harry appear suspicious, Ryan being the arresting officer. All those factors together would have made the CPS very hesitant to charge Harry, simply on Ryan`s say so.
James interest in Harry seems more to be to obtain control over him, than help, support or care for him.
That is not love in my book. That is exploitation and abuse.
Tvjunkieful12 I wasn't talking about how James treated Steven but that reminds me of how Brendan used to do the same kinds of things to keep Ste close. He practically tortured that man every chance he got and would turn around and want him sexually but turned out that was one of the best love stories on the soaps, until you know it wasn't. As we all know Harry will soften to finally come to love James especially if somehow he gets Ryan to admit what he did to Amy.
Aa LI The reason Stendan worked had more to do with the two actors playing them, then how the story lines, scenes and episodes were written, in my opinion. And I think the same is the fact behind the popularity of the character of James - it is more a credit to how Gregory Finnegan plays him, than how the character actually has been written, and the story lines he has been given. For anyone with a minimum knowledge about the law and lawyers, James is a bad joke of a character. Cause even though Finnegan is able to portray a top notch lawyer to perfection, the lines and story lines he has been handed when acting as one are totally amateurish. James must be the absolute worse tv lawyer ever. Cause lawyers, because of their great knowledge, insight and experience in matters of the law, operates WITHIN the law - they don`t break it. Stretch and bend, yes off course, cause that is their skills and forte, but they never break it. Mostly because they don`t have to, but also because breaking the law could cost them both their reputations, jobs and careers. But James constantly operates OUTSIDE of the law - and now he has even added immoral earning to the list. Something which would be completely bonkers for a lawyer to do. Had a lawyer gotten involved in something like that, he would have set it up so nothing could be traced back to him. And being a lawyer, he would know exactly how to do that too.
Maybe you are right, and the old cliche will be repeated, and Harry and James will end up falling in love. But I still don`t find such a development very credible, their history taking into account. And would have preferred if Harry used James` pimping against him, in the same way as James used the £10 000 night against Harry, and Harry obtained evidence (like recording himself and the client talking about the money for the "session" having been paid to James, maybe even a few words about how nice James` flat was, so the lawyers property would be documented to have been used to obtain immoral earnings) James was pimping him out, showed them to James - and James, realizing he could lose both his job, career and freedom should he get arrested, would have been forced to reach some kind of out of court settlement with Harry, if Harry threatened to sue him. Cause should the authorities learn what James had been up to, he would have been finished as a lawyer and facing jail as well. So if Harry demanded James got his mother, Marnie, to give the restaurant back to Tony, and on top of that demanded James appartement and car for himself as well, James would have no other option than to let him have it, should James have any hope of remaining a lawyer and keep his freedom.
The idea of Harry being a prostitute is one I don`t like one little bit. I would much prefer him to turn the tables on James, and get the restaurant back to his father, and some well earned compensation for himself, for everything James has put him through.
The truth needs to be revealed this year almost over how much long do we have to wait Harry going through a lot because of him thinking he killed Amy Ryan did it he needs to pay all the lies for what just because he’s into men he needs to come forward and stop putting it on someone esle and I️ like how James is there for Harry
I still prefer James for Harry cause Gregory and Parry don't outshine each other. If Harry goes back to Ste I'm afraid Parry will find himself playing second fidel again. And I do think James can offer Harry more and better and actually cares more about Harry's own well being than Ste does who has always been much more self serving.
I want a new romantic interest for Harry. I know that Ryan is going to try to kill Ste next. I hope Harry is there to take the bullet and then end up in hospital (thereby paying Ste back for the prison time that Ste had to go through by taking the blame for Amy's murder). And I want that to be the end of Starry. Then Harry should get someone new who can put his damaged life back together. James isn't the kind of guy who would stick around Harry for long enough I feel. But as things are going now, I'm with Starry more than Jarry.
