2017 Babish: "If you think I'm going to make another batch of puff patry from scratch then you're a very silly person" 2020 Babish: "If you think I'm going to make another batch of puff patry from scratch then that'd be pretty crazy, right? anyway, I made another batch of puff pastry from scratch"
Right there with you! I loved the short story and the movie is good too but it's so obscure this is the only recipe recreation I've seen. I'd love it if he could do some recipes from "Chocolat" too, either the movie or the novel.
"alchohol flames can be invisabel sometimes" remembers how he almost burned his house down by dumping burning alchohol into the trash, because he thought there wasn't any flame.
Babette's Feast is my favorite movie so as much as the dish didn't live up to the hype (which I sort of expected), I'm looking forward to see what you did with it in your new book
Finally Babette's Feast! Such an underrated film. I'd call it my favorite combination of my two biggest passions (food/film) but I think I give the edge to Tampopo still. Next you should tackle some of the desserts from Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette or Crème Brûlée from Amélie
Will happily preorder your book. You've provided my wife and I many great recipes and a lot of entertainment. Your amazing production and originality deserves all of the success you have had so far!
Binging with Babish Or the chicken place they say is so amazing on Curb Your Enthusiasm too! (Also, i feel bad saying it again, but have you seen or read "Like Water for Chocolate?!" It was a book to read in English class in the NY school system in our day! And a movie!
I watched this movie as a kid, and I both loved it for all the amazing food on display and was so pissed off at Babette's neighbors for trying not to like her awesome gift for them.
You should make the dish Hannibal Lecter makes in the TV show Hannibal (Season 2 episode 6) Braised Roast Meat baked in clay with marrow, and Lady Apples on the side. It sounds better in whatever language Hannibal says it in.
Loved the work you put in here to imitate an eccentrically exotic dish from one of my favorite movies of all times... it was as good as watching Babette cook this in the real movie version.. Awesome job,.. very inspiring and honest 😘👍
Congratulations on your achievements! I never wanted to really get up and cook but after recreating your simple yet delicious “Pasta Aglio e Olio” from “Chef” I definitely am more motivated to go and get your book seems like a fantastic buy! And your videos are the bomb I love them!!
One of the only youtubers that I've felt genuine excitement for! I hope the book does well! He really puts in so much effort into his vids and I think he deserves the success :D
I found this channel 3 days ago.... I am buying your cookbook... you are a joy to watch, your methods and techniques are explained in such a way that even I feel as if I could do them, and by god I'm going to try.
Babette's Feast is an AMAZING movie! Babbish, have you seen Like Water for Chocolate? There are loads of dishes in that one, but the Quails in Rose petal sauce is one I have always wanted to see. PLEASE!!! Try this one!!!! Thanks!!!
Mario Batali did these on an ep. of Molto Mario a long time ago. He was delving into northern Italian cooking (Possibly around Tyrol?), and explained how the Alpine Italians blend more Germanic-French into their cooking. So cool to see you do these too!
boyfriend and i watch religiously every week .... don't tell him i watched this new vid without him ... this channel only has one problem and thats that there aren't more videos!!!!! :) :) :)
1. Love the channel bc it actualy gets people invested in what they make when learning how to cook 2. Make a side note on an episode explaining how black truffle tastes. Some of us would never use it but it would be cool to know from just a normal guy like you.
Not trying to tell you how to live your life or anything but would you mind telling us the measurements in the metric system aswell? I bet people have told you this before and that you've got a good reason for nor not doing it. Great videos nonetheless
He probably doesn't do it because he's American. Because we haven't used the metric system in ages and now non of us know how to use it....except for drugs. We use it for drugs.
The oversized birds and "very very very silly person" comment after knowing how tedious making the puff pastry was for you made me honestly laugh out loud, and that's after I put both kids to bed. Thanks for the laugh.
"Yes these birds were a little big for my puff pastry but if you think I'm gonna make a new batch then you're a very silly silly person" 👌😂😂😂😂 I don't know anyone who likes making puff pastry loool and after seeing him make it last week it was funny to hear him say that
The birds don't sit inside the pastry so much as appear to have played at being an arctic fox hunting in the snow, only instead of snow, it was pastry.
I will get that cookbook. Your channel has been revolutionary in my kitchen, so I'd be a fool to pass up the non-digital/more in depth version of Babish's guide to cuisine. Thank you for your contribution towards my palate's pleasure. Looking forward to the next glorious, or possibly disgusting, dish.
I found your book on the shelf at the Tenement Museum!! Was super cool. Also, everyone check that museum out if youre in the Lower East Side. Its an amasing museum of regular families who immigrated to New York through different decades. My friend and I did 3 of their 6 tours in our 5 days there.
@Binging with Babish My brother, Michael Chapa, has been a fan of yours for a long time. In fact he is also the one who introduced me to your channel. I would like to buy him a signed book.... is there any way I can get this? Please and thanks! Also can people thumb up so he might see this comment?

he's had a lot more spare time this year
So here we are at our plot of agricultural lanad.....
No matter how much I binge bwb, it seems like there’s at least 1 2 year old episode I haven’t watched
I was literally just wondering how it was possible that I missed this episode and how it had just popped up now
Same and it's 5 years old now
Same! But both 5 and 2 year old videos
Yeah
I love how I watch this like I’m actually going to make it
I binge more baking shows and cake decorating videos than actual cakes. Real food and the dichotomy only becomes greater.
You will Zander, someday...you will.
just make it
I LOVE BABETTE'S FEAST! SO GLAD YOU DID THIS!
*Binging with Babette
Right there with you! I loved the short story and the movie is good too but it's so obscure this is the only recipe recreation I've seen.
I'd love it if he could do some recipes from "Chocolat" too, either the movie or the novel.
Yes, it's a great movie. I'm still moved by the moment when the hardened villagers all become merry as children from Babbette's incredible food.
please do drugs from narcos
It's still a type of "Cooking". I guess Crack was a little later.
This would be a good April fools day video
Blue meth from Breaking Bad coming in November...
Drugs are bad m'kay?
It's easy m'kay

You’re one of my favourite TH-camrs. Keep up what you’re doing!
Just saw Babette’s Feast in my foreign literature class today and remembered you made this. Super cool to see you somehow relate to school lol
Screw the coffin, I want to be buried in a sarcophagus of homemade Babish puff pastry.
Love the videos, absolutely the highlight of any Tuesday.
Can u make scooby-snacks?
would be cool if they would be safe for actual dogs to eat
I know several recipes that are tasy and safe for humans and dogs
Aren't those edibles?
Kryptic X gaming cod
And Bachelor Chow, from Futurama!
zoinks
Would love to see you re-create the infamous trifle from Friends. Honestly, if you can make it edible you are a literal God among us.
oh my god, THIS
I know. If there is anyone who can make this a viable dish it is Mr Babish.
I've seen this comment a bunch, someone says he's going to do it around Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed!
RobinOrzo tbh that might have been me XD I've asked for it a few times
he mentioned on reddit that he'll do it this thanksgiving
My dog saw me start watching this and jumped on me and watched it too. Looked into my phone! Everyone loves your videos, Babish!
That awkward moment when you come so early there's no funny comments to read while the video loads
damn imagine living somewhere your internet is so bad you have to wait for a video to load
Your video has to load?
load? that's just sad
Jordan Pinkston Is coming early a regular problem for you?
I can see why coming a bit too early is a problem.
Omelette du frommage dexters laboratory
You'll make Babish get flamed by all angry french, you know😂

Babette's Feast is my favorite movie so as much as the dish didn't live up to the hype (which I sort of expected), I'm looking forward to see what you did with it in your new book

Seconded!
How has there not been a Hannibal show or movie recipe yet?
Loved the work you put in here to imitate an eccentrically exotic dish from one of my favorite movies of all times... it was as good as watching Babette cook this in the real movie version.. Awesome job,.. very inspiring and honest 😘👍
I’m a quarter french. I love cooking. I heartily support the Fous’Gras ban in my home state.
I'm so psyched! I recently wondered if this existed or was conceived for a future show. Thanks, thanks, thanks. I must see the film again.
Congratulations on your achievements! I never wanted to really get up and cook but after recreating your simple yet delicious “Pasta Aglio e Olio” from “Chef” I definitely am more motivated to go and get your book seems like a fantastic buy! And your videos are the bomb I love them!!

So let's step up the game, could you do the meal from the opening of Eat Drink Man Woman?
Wen Bilson THAT I would love to see.
Great movie and that'd be awesome
Wen Bilson Hell yes. That or Joy Luck Dragon Phoenix.
You should read his AMA.
He said ''you're a very... silly person'' because he didn't want to trigger us. That's the most adorable thing I've seen all day.
How about a Breaking Bad special? Gus' Chilean dish, Hank's Shraderbrau and the Candy they used for the Christal Meth for example!
Arthur Dent or rooftop pizza
Isn't that just blue rock candy? I'd still like to see that cause I have no idea how you make rock candy
When I read Breaking Bad I thought you meant actual meth
Jesse, it's time to cook.
Congrats
Tuesdays always become more awesome when I remember that there's a new video up on your channel! Love it!
This was uploaded at midnight Aussie time. What are you trying to make me do? Not sleep?

Could you please do one on: "ROCCO SIFFRED INVASION OF POLAND".
It is a classic movie that brings me back to my teenager times.

You should recreate fast food menu items.
Incredible! Congratulations, that was wonderful! Thank you for this, a million times!

My favorite movie of all time. I'm disappointed that it didn't live up to the gastronomic beauty of the movie.
Cost*^ not costed $100
Couldn't believe he said that.
Grammar Nazis.
More like just the most basic grammar ever. It's not a horrible thing, but it's really surprising someone so well spoken, generally, said it.
Very excited to see your book. Congratulations!
The Sauce from New Girl
I don't watch your stuff often, but kudos on running with your corner of the market and the book.
I was expecting to see some people kicking off about babish using foie gras
MY FAVORITE MOVIE. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
